200mg of trazadone will give you a massive boner when you wake up. You’ll be posting a tent all morning.

Lars

ultimate primitive camping

Anja Konradsson

Listening to this in april 2025 as Narco President Noboa of Ecuador has plan to employ Blackwater in said country. Thankyou Liz and Brace for all the information!❤️ Also, please make an ep on Noboa!

Floodlights

Honestly may be late to the party but I’m really enjoying listening to these old episodes. Watched Warfare (‘25) last night so this one has been right on the money for my current ethos combined with the events of the last week … Also it’s inspired me to go back and watch Twin Peaks return as original is one of my favs and never got to watch past the first episode when it first dropped.

Floodlights

Spoiler alert!! ^ (Yeah I know it’s more than 5 years since it aired lol)

Floodlights

Wish Liz would consider doing an actual tv podcast for when the weight of the real world becomes to much now and again …

HANNAH

A traffic circle???? Like a roundabout?

AC

Some light escapism

Vincent Utah

Been keeping tabs on a former acquaintance who’s now in Blackwater. Oddly enough, he was also sent to a boys ranch back in the day. Could he be the nega-Brace?

Jbear

Who had Blackwater, Erik Prince, Iraq in the tags pool?

R Finkle

how come there's no whitewater

Vincent Utah

Stop giving Mayor Pete ideas.

kaicycle

Re-listening to Blowback at the moment so this episode was a welcome surprise and great adjunct!

hk

There is, in Branson Missouri

Keith W. London

The mental gymnastics Americans do every time they call themselves great would shame the devil. This doesn’t just go away. Can’t sweep the results under a rug and smh.

Rene Saller

Loved Yung Chomsky's interstitial Bach.

Hector

Would you guys ever do an episode on the Knights Templar?

Cardboard

Blackwater was so bad that it was safe to portray them as antagonists in GTA5 in 2013. They were the mindless grunts that you could kill with no consequences because its easy to consider them evil

M

Another episode another set of speakers I have to replace because YC won’t level the audio and rejoiner music

Clear Minded

He wants to make sure you can hear the music

Brian

It’s particle board!

NY

Brace and Liz, please go on The West Wing Thing with Josh and Dave.

danny

i read imperial life a couple months ago but lmao an hour

Yossarian

His production was amazing on this one. Moments of real beauty in a very bleak tale

Jack

I think “recap” is short for “recapitulate” but idk for sure

Louis Dondanville

Dan Z

Nicholas Slatten is from my small hometown and his family is still living there. A lot of people were celebrating his release since they know his family personally. My parents went to church with his at one point. It's fucking sickening.

Hopefully Dark Brace comes out of the woodwork on the next ep.

Rene Saller

Agreed! I'm especially fond of that Bach prelude because it was one of the first ones I learned. Yung Chomsky is the best podcast producer in the biz, as far as I'm concerned. I'd listen to a whole episode of his music!

Chris Dertz

just a quick heads up I definitely listened to this episode as well

BG

I loved/hated this episode. I'd love for you guys to do a multi-part series on OIF. I'd offer up my experiences over there. Shit was so much more fucked than I think even the older millenials remember.

boop

perfect music for this episode 👌

_tarrvis

Liz you gon make me cry with that Twin Peaks analysis wrapping up after listening to some of the most unspeakable evil unleashed onto the Iraqi people, which has gone unpunished.

JD

Loved the twin peaks talk, gotta rewatch the last series!

Doug Cartel

Correct me if I'm wrong but Nisour Square was the breaking point for the iraqi government, and when they demanded the murderers be turned over for trial in iraqi courts, bush responded by starting the withdrawal from iraq which then of course was supposed to look bad on obama. Did I misremember anything? Edit: I really should wait til I finish the ep before I fucking say anything

Jimothy Realname

the real george bush has been in the black lodge since Y2K, it's actually BOB that did 9/11

AKorgar

I just think its funny that none of them apparently were told that blackwater is also known as sewage

Andrew Rassling

If you want more talk about nukes as a demon summoned to the earth listen to Death Is Just Around the Corner. Michael S Judge thinks about that a lot, He's got eps on them, and also they pop up regularly in his work. I recommend starting with his early "Black Sun" episode.

sadie

a dage? ah dodge?

Mr knucklehead

Liz your twin peaks synthesis has been such a treat, please like the more the merrier - this is a line of thought ive had stewing since last summer and it’s so gratifying hearing it explored!!

Eon Gattignolo

little details re the return: there are more than one frog moth eggs expelled from judy's head during the atomic explosion. the woodsman arrives and makes his way to a radio station which lulls listeners into a trance, the implication that the little girl is one of perhaps many hosts. later on when sarah palmer is harassed the masher at the bar, she removes her face, revealing an entity within.

Aly Rutherford

okay im newly exposed to this podcast and the hidden world that drives it can anyone give me reliable sources to follow news so i dont feel like a blundering clueless idiot when they share new info along with others that ive never heard before?? where are the best places to stay plugged??

Aly Rutherford

ugh after the british inquiry episode i feel like i sound like a psyop:(

Terrance McDonald

Is there a Bloodmen Part II that I am not seeing? I only see a part 1

The main world leaders show their opposing positions on this war, but do you remember what they said at that time?..
