I think it's very likely that what they're still hiding, as Aaron alludes to, is the presence of a full institutional apparatus that not only killed Kennedy but possibly did so under auspices that are technically legal & bureaucratically sanctioned, and that this apparatus is still functionally present & active. On the U2 / Gary Powers thing, there are some good video interviews with Col. Fletcher Prouty. He (and Kissinger) say it was not shot down, because the plane was really fragile to make it light. Just a few examples of CIA attempts, many of them successful, to do regime change and/or assassinations: 1. The assassination of Rafael Trujillo in the Dominican Republic in 1961 2. The assassination of former Congolese Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba in 1961 3. The Bay of Pigs Invasion of 1961 to depose Fidel Castro 4-638. Another "634" plots to kill Castro 639. At least passive acceptance/knowledge in advance of the 1963 coup against South Vietnamese President Ngo Dinh Diem that lead to his execution. 640. They also murdered General René Schneider Chereau in Chile in a botched kidnapping attempt. 641. The CIA likely had a hand in the 1973 coup in Chile that led President Salvador Allende to take his own life and put Pinochet in power. 642. the CIA had tentative 1960 plans to assassinate Iraqi Prime Minister Abd al-Karim Qasim 643. ... then the CIA drew up plans for a coup in Iraq in 1962... 644. ... then they likely participated in (or at the very least, endorsed) the 1963 Ba'athist Iraqi coup that led to the executions of Qasim and other top leaders.

I don’t understand (or maybe I do) why a major media outlet doesn’t do a big investigative piece on the murder of Mary Pinchot Meyer. Unlike a lot of these topics, it’s super clear cut: A key witness in the patsy’s trial was a guy who doesn’t exist! Former Washington Post editor Bill Bradlee wrote a book that contradicts his sworn testimony! Seems right in the nyt strike zone.

I went to buy the book « brothers » by David Talbot off a lady on marketplace. She then showed me her late husband’s « JFK » room. She gave me everything he had collected since 1960. Including coins and life magazines from 1960-1995 on the topic of JFK. Even got a memorial coin and a scrap book of news articles from over the years + a scrap book of Zapruder film enlargements. I tried to pay her, but she asked that I donate to the kidney foundation instead. RIP Danny K.
