Let's talk about the schools that are included in this training camp. Outside of Karasuno (Miyagi prefecture) and Nekoma (Tokyo), the 3 schools are Fukurodani (Tokyo), Ubugawa (Kanagawa prefecture) and Shinzen (Saitama prefecture). Kanagawa and Saitama are adjacent to Tokyo, so they're like the New Jersey and Connecticut to New York, to give an American comparison. Fukurodani means "Owl Valley" so it meets the same animal theme as Karasuno and Nekoma. Ubugawa means "River Birth" and Shinzen means "Forest Nature" so they focus more on the geography of the prefectures they are from. The only named characters we get from the latter 2 schools are the Masaki "Fish Lips" Gora and Daiki "Broccoli Head" Ogano. Though neither Gora nor Ogano are common names in Japan, the history behind their names haven't been made public and isn't self explanatory. My assumption is that Ogano (Little Deer Field) is named that way being from Shinzen and deers are forest animals and Gora (Strong Net) possibly comes from his super strong serves? That's all I got...

next episode is one of my favorites‼️‼️ I'm so sad i missed the livestream.

Training Camp Arc is COOKING already! (hehe. cook.) I genuinely love this arc so much, starting off with the Hinata/Kageyama moment. Look they're resolving their awkward tension through volleyball 🤣 that look between them was everything I love them. "He's different now. What tf happened to you" 🤣 Yassssss I love seeing our boys epically fail at trying new things! You gotta get worse before you get better, that's how growth works here and they are putting in their all for it. And the result is going to be GLORIOUS. Love how you caught on to the Moonrise Episode title. The names in this show are very meaningful and symbolic. It's great finally delving in to Tsukki's character here, and that Kuro took him under his wing to mentor him. He really didn't have to. I know you've seen the next few episodes already so I can't wait for the next one to see your thoughts!

Tanaka will always be my goat in haikyu

I love these Tokyo training arc episodes so much! So many great characters, so many evolution moments for Karasuno, so good... Love the Tsuki, Kuroo, Akaashi and Bokuto group so much! Remember that Hinata (Hi = Sun) and Tsukishima (Tsuki = Moon) have metaphor in the name.

New arcs are arcing!!! I absolutely love this stretch of episodes T.T. IMO Tsukki's frustration/hand clenching is him battling holding onto the idea of trying not to care too much. I think he's trying to justify staying in place by thinking then he won't get hurt and he's doing enough to get a "passing grade" so why does he have to sacrifice more when maybe he's not even good enough to surpass people like Hinata anyways...But when you're constantly surrounded by people who are trying to do the opposite and trying to evolve and trying to change - it challenges Tsukki's thoughts. Talking to Asahi and hearing his resolve, then seeing that resolve pay off with that spike - I think it adds to Tsukki's frustration and maybe jealousy bc his teammates are proving him wrong and moving on ahead. But he's trying to so hard hold on to his apathy and convince himself that he's right to not be too invested....on to the next episodeeee!!

I saw someone ask "What's the difference between talent and hard work"? The difference is that they aren't equal. A lazy talented person can get the same results as a hard worker with no talent, but you can always learn to work hard. You can't learn to be talented.

TheRealNemesis

One of the better slow burners if I'm honest. I can't wait to see the next one already

Ingrid

FINALLY THE TSUKKI ARC, he's easily my fav character (that we've met) in the show, i am so excited to see how you react to him

Sindri

Just putting it out there. Asahi probably had the potential to be one of the best spikers in the country. He's just always been too timid and his mental was a little too weak. He definitely has the height and power for it.

_zer0_

I just love how Kuroo (and Bokuto) bait Tsuki to join their practice.

Shin Gettinger

Tsukki is the most typical high school kid in the show, if not anime. Middling commitment, angst, wild roasts off the cuff, and acting above it all while afraid of how deep his feelings might actually go. Well. Written. Character. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Noah

off topic but i just found out Oikawa shares the same VA with Jack the Ripper in black clover 😭😭😭 talk about range

Cora

You mentioned int the last ep about how Kageyama would be jelaous, that Hinata got to train with Coach grandpa Ukai, and he actually was, but the anime cut that little scene where he finds out about it. Also i think you're the first reactor i've seen that noticed that

Flexie you have to remember that these are boys in high school after a fight they are not going to make up right away they need some time and you need to be patient with them
