G'day all.
After having to keep this one under my hat for much longer than I would like, I can finally announce that a Kickstarter campaign is happening for super-fancy ultra editions of book one and two, with lots of amazing art and accompanying merch. During my tour this year, I've been quietly but excitedly showing people the art for my personal favourite item, the Gary body pillow, and now I get to share m y excitement with everyone.
I've been working with a great team for a while now to commission the art for these editions, along with some fantastic merch options. Some of you might have even spotted me in the lobby at LitRPG Con trying on an early version of the cloak. I've final a more final version and it looks great, especially (and somewhat ironically) in the sunlight.
The art in this book looks absolutely amazing, including the stunning covers by the marvellous Jeff Brown. I've had the art for these for a while and I'm still astonished at how much I love them every time I look at them, and I hope they make everyone else is excited as well.
That's only the beginning of the great art to be found in these editions, as well. We've got iconic fights, Gary training Jason, with Jason not exactly covering himself with glory. One of my personal favourites is just Jason, Clive and Onslow chilling on an airboat.
For merch, we have a lot of fun stuff, from the Gary body pillow to a set of recipe cards. There's plenty more that will be revealed in the campaign, but the pre-launch page is up right now so you can get notified of any new announcements.
The plan is to kick things off with books one and two, with further campaigns down the line for the rest of the series. This is going to be a long project for me, and one where I get the chance to commission a bunch of art from across the series, something there has been a dire shortage of for a long time.
I hope you can take this journey with me.
