Great porch show this week, lots of great analysis and opinion. Comic Con meh, I don't get cosplay, similar to furries, weird. There is already a whole holiday in October devoted to cosplay, do we need cons too. I lived in downtown Atlanta and had no interest in going to Dragon Con. But hey do what makes you happy. Marketing craptivations... D&D for normies... Gen Con's without WoTC... Comic Cons without comics... Games not played in person... Target exclusives.. Ugghh... I am getting too old for this... You are so right about curation vs innovation, copyright used to expire after 25 years, then 50, now 99 years, just so Disney could keep its mouse franchise. The whole point of copyright expiration was that it would spur new innovation, patents expire after 20 years. Have great time at GenCon, wear your mask, and stay safe!

Comics are not dead. Only Marvel and DC and to an extend Image and Darkhorse. Look at how well BRZRKR did and how well Isom by fellow youtuber Young rippa is doing. People are sick of gigantic corporations and their terrible stories. People are hungry for new and interesting comics. That's why Manga is killing American comics even in the US.

Well said. I ordered ISOM as soon as I saw his video stating how he puts the customer first with no nonsense comics. Looking forward to the first of many issues.

If you like pulps I recommend the Long Moonlight by yet another youtuber Razorfist. Another no politics, customer comes first approach.

I forgot Seth Skorkowski too. His youtube fame helped him sell his urba fantasy and pulp fantasy novels
