PD!! If you have never seen Irene's Like A Flower documentary on youtube, it's a 2 part series and the installments are around 30 minutes each, I would HIGHLY recommend at least watching it in your spare time for funsies BUT if you would want to film it and put it on here for some Irene bonus content I mean I definitely wouldn't complain :)) It is a really fascinating watch because you're EXACTLY right about her mindset and confidence. In it she talks about wanting to try the Afro-beat style of choreo for her debut because she wanted to try something that she had never done before and she says she was inspired by Tyla (there's a clip of her at the Tyla concert in Korea and she fangirls over how pretty Tyla is and it's so precious T_T). When she decided that was the route she was going down for her debut, she worked with a professional Afro-beat dancer named Emily and their dynamic is so freaking cute oh my god. Irene practiced the basics of Afro-beat for almost 2 MONTHS before she even started learning the Like A Flower choreography. Irene is truly so inspiring because she DOES have that mindset of "This is hard and I'm not great at it yet, so I just have to keep practicing until I AM great at it" and then she follows through, works really hard, and because of that she learned a style of dance she had never even tried before and NAILED her debut choregraphy like she had been an Afro-beat dancer for years. That's all just in the first part of the documentary. She goes through every aspect of the debut including album jacket shooting and the lyrics for her songs and how she took inspiration for her album's lyrics from her freaking DIARY SHE HAD IN HER EARLY CAREER T____T and then her and her lyricists crafted the songs based around what she wrote in the diary!!!!!! It's very insightful and fascinating to see her creative process and I knew she was very involved in her album making process but I didn't realize just how much of an amazing artist she is. I hope you'lll consider watching it esp if you want to know more about Irene's personality!!

honestly loved your take on love can make a way. There's another theory considering that this song is meant to be a condolence and self-love song for herself, and to forgive and embrace her younger self. So the various 'ghosts' can be considered ghosts of her past or her 'regrets/ high emotional states', and the condolence ball is when she comes to terms with them and forgives and embraces herself. The guy seems to be either Irene herself or a memory she has suppressed for a long time, where the show reminded her to face her past; and in turn love all versions of herself. Hotel del luna theory was also so good and it's what a lot of fans are saying as well
