Oof. That's a dark punchline. I dunno if I would have ended it that way if I had made this today. I really like everything else though. Keydar running up from the distance, his vapid happy expression, the letter writing, the panel layout... But hanging himself in the end? Yikes. I feel like that's too dark even for me.

I think if I had another shot at an ending to this comic I would have the tauren notice the reader and desperately plea for us to save him from his eternal torment before popping out of existence mid sentence. Followed by, "Lunar Festival Ends!"

Is that better or worse?

I think I remember getting the elder letters in the mailbox and thinking I had to make a comic about these poor souls standing in place for days and sending out letters to awful players. Fits perfectly into my common theme of abused NPCs and sociopathic players.

I think it's just fine, esp if you play with a lot of sweaty people who do their best to play what is meta, not what they like, don't read the quests, don't listen to the music, and so on.

The ending is indeed a bit much. But the beginning is great! I love how Keydar starts out so small. Perhaps a better ending would be having a line of other uncaring PCs start running up before he's even finished his letter.

Well it's called *Dark* Legacy Comics for a reason.
