I believe this was Max's second appearance. He's becoming a regular.

Like many of my early comics, this one also suffers from a lot of unnecessary dialogue. I'm not entirely sure why Gigz is even in this one other than being a vehicle for exposition. If I wanted to add her to the gang for the purposes of the arc, I could have just had her cut off the finger. I'm sure it would have made a great cooking ingredient for her.

I remember dreading having to draw fire when I made this comic. I hated drawing fire in 2007 and I still hate drawing fire now. I'm just bad at it. The last time I drew fire was over a year ago, and it didn't look great then either. Maybe I should practice fire more.
