Comic #788: The Hardest Quest (Patreon)

What I like about this punchline is it's kind of up to interpretation. Recruit a friend could be hard either because nobody wants to play the game, or because you have no friends. Originally I had a joke in the Recruit a Friend window in the final panel that said "This link will expire on 10/11/2021, because you have no friends." I removed it because I felt it removed the ambiguity in the joke.

I almost posted a slightly different version, where Gigz was flipped in most of the panels. I felt that the visual jokes were falling in the wrong order. People would read her dialogue before they read the quest window in panels 3&4.

The first quest is a real quest from vanilla wow (now in classic as well). Barrens was a HUGE zone, and finding her corpse without any quest markers or quest addons or wowhead was near impossible. The second quest is just a joke on the fact that winning battleground matches as alliance can be a challenge.

I also decided in the end to put a real recruit a friend link in the window. I figured it would make for a funny easter egg, and add a little bit extra to the joke. That I'm so desperate to complete RaF that I put a real link in a comic.
