I had this idea in my queue for a while. I kept trying it out and the idea just didn't quite fit. Originally it was told by the player's perspective. The player was walking through Torghast, and came upon a companion. The companion thanked the player, who then opened their companion window and saw all the level 60s. The final panel was the same.

I felt like in the first version the punchline was spread out a lot more over multiple panels and lacked the punch that this version has. Also, having an NPCs fantasy ruined by sociopathic players is one of my favorite themes. It reminds me a bit of the original Fred the Boot comic from #128.

The NPC in this comic is Ben Howell, a future companion who has of yet not been introduced in game. Maybe he never will be. I considered putting his name in the comic, but I couldn't find a good way to put it in without it being a distraction. Instead it can be a minor Easter egg.
