I originally was going to have Keydar and Narya and Donald all dusting the bench in preparation for their raid night, but it ended up not working for many reasons. I feel like Besides, in my view, Donald always starts off on the bench, whereas Keydar and Narya move to the bench over the course of the night as they screw up the raid.

I had a completely different comic planned for today until this morning. I woke up, re-read my idea, and thought it wasn't funny enough. So this idea came to me last minute. It originally was going to be a Narya themed comic where Krom was telling him he wasn't cut out for raiding. That idea might still reappear in the future if a new version of it comes to me.

There's something I really like about how simple the premise is in this one. It's one of those ideas that feels simple enough that I'm surprised I haven't done it before. I also wanted to make sure to use as little dialogue as possible. A couple buffs or spell effects here and there can get the point across pretty well. I was a bit worried that nobody would be able to tell that was a feather duster. It's a weird thing to draw.

I think this might be the first comic where I have drawn one of the players with 5 fingers. I wanted Krom to say "5 minutes" and hold up five fingers, and then I realized I only ever draw four. I considered having him say "4 minutes" instead, but it didn't look right. His hand held in that position even with four fingers still somehow read as five to me.

I wonder how it would have looked with Krom holding up 4 fingers on one hand and 1 finger on the other. I'm sure most people would have read it as 6 but might have been a neat gag on how cartoon characters have 4 fingers.

You should have one like what happened to us one night. We were stuck on a boss and near the end of raid time the raid leader decieded to bring in one of the guildies that always wanted to raid but when it started getting tough he would get benched. He had problem with mechanics and not being abble to follow instructions, but everyone in the guild loved him. So on this one boss we were pretty sure we were not going to get him down but we wanted to do a couple more pulls for learning. We brought in Donald so he could have fun. We almost wiped but the last 20 seconds it was only Donald up and he finished off the boss! For years afterwards when we were stuck on a fight we would say "Bring IN DOnald!" I'm sure that was the thing he most remembered about playing wow.

I like Gigz's expression. It says "I'm a good healer!"
