Hey there, I've been having some thoughts and after thinking those thoughts with my thinker, my thinks led me here. So I have a quick question for all of you.

If I was going to do some sort of thing that wasn't necessarily musical - what would you like that thing to be?

No particular reason for asking other than whiskery, kitty cat curiosity. If you have any thoughts on the matter after you've had a think, drop 'em below if you feel so inclined. Thinks!

Angie Woollard

Cooking/baking - first thing that comes to mind.

ZAYRAY!

Ooh yes!! Occasional Vlogs maybe. This could be Just daily life. Baking videos. Cooking videos. Gym stuff.... just anything 🤣 I will watch literally anything!

CookieVA

Vlogs with the family or Cooking

Maggie S

A narration of "The Monkey's Paw"

Tempest

Audiobook narration?

Dylan Reubenking

Came here to say cooking but people beat me to it lol

Amanda Hovendon

The first thing that comes to mind is really another narration. But I would like to see a cooking video too

Tal and Bard Lampner

Jumping on the cooking/baking bandwagon! Would also love to see live narration readings. Or cats. Can never go wrong with cat videos on the internet.

Tracie Schlaak

Behind the scenes of how to make a video

Joey Hatch

Cooking vlog, show us your favorite meal to share!

Emily Zabst

Cooking, nothing to refined, or Vlogs would be great

Keith Hartley

You could do a vlog type thing, and show us what a usual day in the life of Geoff Castellucci looks like!

María Gabriela

If it doesn't have to be musical, then I'd personally love to hear you narrate more short stories or poems (like Poe's or any other author you'd enjoy!). Your voice is fantastic for gothic literature.

Kaleigh Henderson

Adding my voice to the crowd shouting "cooking videos!"

Gerhardt Rheeder

Get with the boys and play games together, video games, board games, rock paper scissors, anything!

Nana Koranteng

Board Games wit Kathy idk like chess or Monopoly

ZAYRAY!

I’m dying 🤣🤣🤣

Ciarah Pacheco

A day in the life kind of vlog? or maybe doing a yes day with William? 😅🤔

Marcello Bass

Voice acting for sure was my first thought. I feel like since you have some Disney connections you could easily be the next Disney villain. But if you want something abit more casual maybe some dope cooking classes

Bard

I love the narrations, so more of those would always be welcome! No matter what creative endeavors you choose to spend your time on we will love it I am sure. What are your hobbies and passions outside of the music? For example, if you enjoy video games, streaming on twitch would be neat. Or if there's a topic you love to talk about, you could start a podcast. No matter what, we as fans would want you doing things that bring you joy.

Shaun & Rebekah Harris

I hear you enjoy cooking/baking. Making one of your favorite recipes would be a fun video. Totally unrelated, but I got an "Old & Boring Society" T-shirt for Christmas, and I LOVE it!! - Rebekah

Angie Woollard

Honestly - anything that YOU love, we will love. Watching or listening to someone speak about something they are passionate about is pretty darn special.

Vera Wu

Trivia MC/ASMR

Emily Zabst

if he did ASMR we would die

Sophia Sutherland

Anything you feel passionate about or led to try is 100% supported. We believe in you & want you to do all the things that your creativity and genius desire. Also, if one could be choosy.. I think your dancing skills deserve additional highlighting 🕺😊

Dawn Grygier

The cooking idea is good, but only if it is something that you are truly interested in or something that you could share with Kathy. More to the point - what are you interested in? Your interest, curiosity is what would make it interesting. Is there an area of history, mythology or literature you find fascinating and would like to explore with us? I s there a sport that you could give tips on? Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Angie Woollard

I would actually pay good money so Geoff DOES NOT DO ASMR. 🙏

ZAYRAY!

I’m with Angie..

Annie Ferguson

All the above ideas are great! I could listen to you all day long. Would LOVE some ASMR.

Diane Mo

Definitely host DND games as a Dungeon Master! Broadcast the DND sessions with the VP gang. I’d like to see how creative you are with the monsters, traps and magic. Also broadcast how you hand craft all your DM materials. #nerdalert 🤣

Angie Woollard

You could do something like Ryan Reynolds’ “Ryan Doesn’t Know” series - that was highly entertaining. You’d have to have the patience to try new things and possibly not be great at them, though… https://youtu.be/MnR4P7205dc

María Gabriela

I'm with Angie too. It's not a comfortable idea to me.

Debs Badger

This is likely going to sound like a cop-out, especially since I said it when you asked us this at the beginning of your Patreon campaign, but whatever it is that you have a passion for. You are at your most engaging when you are thoroughly into it (whatever 'it' may be).

Jojo Hale

Woodworking. Do I care if you know what you’re doing? Nope. Does it have to be a masterpiece, good, or even usable? Not at all. Just wanna see ya build something. 🙃

Hana Keindlová

The thing you already started - the narrations 🖤 and yeah, cooking and cooking tips could be interesting, even though maybe overused theme 😃 I would watch everything, honestly 😄

Randiskye

Are you going to take the top 3 responses and make a poll? I ask because there seem to be three main camps forming, with some overlap. I'll cast my vote to cooking/baking tutorials, but as the Muppets' Swedish Chef! Lol But seriously, I want your burger recipe. I have to ask though, how will you have the time?

Snyckerdoodle

A how-to-video series. First video: how to irritate each of the guys.

Beth Comer

Have you ever considered writing? Honestly, just the lines in this post about thinking thoughts with your thinker and those thinks leading you here... that's practically modern Seuss. The style of these posts and the descriptives you tend to use are humorous and conversational, and would lend themselves nicely to storytelling, whether that be fiction, children's stories, or Dave Barry-esque humor essays.

Veronica Thunander

Yes! I’ve thought this many times!! That would be great!

Gretchen G

Would you have any interest in trying your hand at writing short stories? Your Patreon posts are always so delightfully creative (I'm assuming you write those yourself?) and I'd love to read more from you! (Zombies and brain meat optional. 🙃) Then you could do an original narration! I agree with everyone else that something cooking related would be really cool. A vlog type thing would be neat too. Whatever you think would be fun & interesting! Or old & boring. 😉 Thinks for asking! Looking forward to whatever it'll be!

Cindy Barber

I will parrot what a lot of others have said. You have mentioned enjoying cooking, so I think that would be fun. Your narrations are wonderful to listen to, so I'm all for those, but ultimately, is there something non-music that you REALLY WANT to do?? If so, I say give it a shot. I think you will find the OBS are a pretty supportive group of you trying out things. 😁

candi lunsford

How about a boy’s night out? I’d love to see you with Layne, Eli and Cesar out and about the town. The shenanigans would be priceless! We see glimpses of the fun you have in the BTS videos but that’s kind of like work, or at least something with a purpose. How about something that’s nothing but fun? I do have to add that no matter what you chose I appreciate the time you share with us. For me it’s a way of seeing where the heart of the music you make comes from. If you decide on something musical then I’d REALLY like to hear you sing a duet with Cathy. I’ve heard her in a few Pattycake productions but a duet with her would be amazing.

Eileen Parkman

Wow! Everyone has some great suggestions! I agree with them all, but, most importantly, what interests you? What are you passionate about? Do you have a hobby/collection that you love? Do you have family traditions you'd love to share? Maybe you want to get into a flying harness and soar around the stage? Perhaps there's something you've always wanted to try but haven't had the little jumpstart you need to get you to do it? We'd love to see it. (I will admit, if it's skydiving or rockface climbing, I'll have to watch through my fingers - don't care for heights)

Veronica Thunander

”Makeup and hair routins with the Castelluccis / with Geoff Castellucci” 😁

Jordi S

I love the narrations.. it doesn't need to be spooky. I would also enjoy cooking videos. But I am also with everyone saying I would be very happy to support whatever you have a passion for and want to try.

DnD Addict

Omg, so..... Longer story narration, vlogs/cooking vids, DnD, ASMR, Geoff dance vids, just more Geoffness in general will be amazing!

Hunter

From someone who’s a fan of your voice and that includes (not singing) I personally would love a spoken affirmation vid from you. Something I can put on repeat when times get tough, and be like: oh, I needed that. Please and thinks! Meow! 😺

Sarah Reach

Everyone on our discord group has been hoping for cooking/baking videos, either produced tutorials or even something as simple as a Web chat where instead of answering questions we just hang out in your kitchen while you bake and chat. Besides that, I always love the narrations, definitely want those to keep coming occasionally. Vlogs or singing/production Q&A's are amazing too. I love the interviews you and Layne have done with Elizabeth, getting nerdy and talking shop. Maybe something like that, an interview with Ed Boyer about the mixing process, perhaps? Honestly, though, I will repeat what others said, anything you are passionate about and want to put out here for us, we would love to see. (Some have even mentioned wanting to hear the whole video shoot footage of that cursed piano, so when we say we will watch anything, We. Mean. Anything 🤣)

Sophie Llewellyn Smith

My first thought was cooking/baking. But also....are you an outdoorsy kind of guy? Show us somewhere beautiful where you like to go hiking/fishing/wandering around.

María Gabriela

Reminds me of "Welcome to make-up confessionals!"

Tara Congo

I always love your narrations, so that's one thing (although I'm throwing in my wish-list vote for a live reading - that'd be cool). Absolutely anything vlog-ish would also be amazing, whether with your family or just doing something you enjoy (or a combo!). Really, though, I think the vast majority of us are here because we like you beyond just your musicianship - we'd be behind anything else you want to delve into.

Alisha Watson

As others have mentioned, some cooking videos or vlogs would be fun. I watch a lot of vlogs about fishing and outdoor adventures with families("The Outdoor Boys" and "Catfish and Carp" channels, particularly), so you could really go with a vlog about any interest you particularly enjoy.

Jessie

I’d be happy with whatever ya choose as long as it’s family friendly I’m good

María Gabriela

I noticed that! As a writer, it actually makes me really happy to see the way he writes and handles humour. I'd absolutely buy a book written by him.

Tracy Z

Go in depth on whatever interests you. I agree with the idea that we would like most anything especially if you are speaking.

Els Peeters (=jopperke)

- writing: shorts, poems, a whole book... - cooking class/vlog/blog... - a combination of the first two: a cookbook - more narrations - vlog about wine and bourbon

Nathan Baker

Voice acting would be amazing. I could also see you narrating a nature show.

Huldra Draco

Seriously, was that necessary?

Veronica Thunander

I agree with cooking/baking! I’m not normally into cooking shows, but I think you’ve said that you like to eat healthy and I think you’re great fun, so healthy food (or probably any food) with Geoff (or Geoff and Kathy!) is definitely something I would watch! I know there’s many cooking shows already, but on the other hand you already have a fan base to start with 😊. Or you could have a show where you do different things in different episodes. That way you can explore and see what you enjoy the most! 🤔😇

Amanda Hovendon

How about little travel videos in the future?

Emily McLaughlin

I also echo the support from the previous comments! Anything you put your passion and effort into will be fantastic! I'd love to see cooking videos or a kind of "day in your life"/more casual type video. Would love to have more Kathy content, we are getting jealous that you aren't sharing more of you fabulous wife!

Courtney Hotchkiss

Totally would love to see a voice acting type thing, or voicing an audiobook

Mardette

Friday night is date night. Come up with a new idea for 6 weeks in a row. Surprise your love every week dressed in different time period clothes, and stay in character for the entire date.

Jennifer L. Cramp

There are some really good ideas above. I agree with narrations and cooking/baking videos. Story time videos. Dad jokes or little pearls of Geoff wisdom videos. Hobbies that you may want to share.

Jennifer

I'd also be happy with whatever you decide to do. I'm thinking that cooking would be cool or shenanigans with the guys. Also, would love to get to know your family more.

Huldra Draco

To be honest, Geoff, anything you are passionate about is what we would want to hear/see.

Angie Woollard

This question of yours obviously came from some thoughts you yourself were having about this subject…what prompted this question to the masses in the first place? Was there something you were itching to try, and you were hoping someone here suggested it?

Ilona Dever

Talk to us about your favorites - teacher, vacation, activity, memory of childhood, your mom, your dad, first date with Kathy. We love you, we will listen and watch anything you do. Cross my heart!

Angie Woollard

Oooh, love the idea of a live reading!!

Brontesaurus Rex

I'd literally watch anything, but if you're ever inclined to do something about your editing process, my whole class is like "HOW ARE THERE FOUR OF HIM?" Yes, they asked in all caps. Yes, passing it on in all caps was completely necessary.

Rebecca Hendricks

Lots of cool options already. Baking, more narrations, video or board game playing or reviews, DND, the possibilities are endless. What about book reviews? What kind of books do you like?

Alid Sinistra

Pretty sure most people here would watch/listen to you do pretty much anything. I would love to hear full books narrated by you, but those can be rather long and exhausting (I would imagine). So find something you enjoy, and share that. People enjoy seeing/hearing people enjoy themselves, even if it's not exactly their cup of tea.

Jess M

I'm with the others and think we would like almost anything you'd like to try. Especially if it involves hearing you speak 😁. We also love your family, so many options for videos/vlogs (whichever content you're interested to create). And I can't help it, but almost every time I read your posts the thought that I would really enjoy reading more from you crosses my mind. You definitely have your own way with words. 😂

Angie Woollard

When COVID allows, how about tours of cool places in and around Orlando? E.g., that alpaca farm you went to on your birthday, hidden gems at Disney, your favourite ice cream/donut shop and why it’s so special, a beautiful local park with hidden secret paths…interesting abandoned paper mills…

Sophie Plourde

I second this! Vlog-type videos would be awesome😄

Luna Koole

Vlogs Like what big or smaller things happen and what fun things are you doing, traveling stuff and more

Amanda Hovendon

Yeah that would be cool! Like uplifting videos, but spoken. I could use those every now and then👍

Amanda Hovendon

Ehhh… I don’t think Geoff would appreciate that😬

Emily Dion

Seconded. I still wonder about the Salad from the "my mother told me" behind the scenes. It looked amazing.

Amanda Hovendon

I WOULD SO READ A BOOK WRITTEN BY GEOFF!

Sarah Reach

On the thought of a full audiobook, I wouldn't be opposed to paying for those over a few months, releasing them a few chapters per month. On the other hand, I know of quite a few people who still haven't been able to get through The Little Mermaid narration before falling asleep (in a good way, your voice makes a meaningful difference in the lives of insomniacs) So the joy of a multi hour audiobook project may be lost on them. I know I would love it though.

Amanda W

I don't know as far as money making things go, but I love seeing your selfies, and TikToks, and Clayton, etc. Content is content. Maybe selfies with Clayton? People love cats. Maybe you should have Clayton in one of your videos. ᓚᘏᗢ💜

Jasper_Tree (They_Them)

I’d love videos about your creative process and what goes into making your videos and songs. More readings would be lovely, cooking videos could be fun. But I’d also love to see whatever you wanted to make, so if you’ve got a completely different idea you’d love to try I’m sure we’d all love it 😊

Emily Dion

Along with the many suggestions of cooking/baking videos, what about reacting to bad recipes. I feel hilarity would ensue!

Jacklinka

Everything you've up to will make happy every thinker of Geoffan thinkers. I always imagine you as a Disney/Pixar voice actor, as a villain or some creature like Ursula (Geoffsula), it would be great. Also, why your non-musical art should be necessary unmusical? It could be both. All other thinker thoughts have already been thought thoroughly here.

Amanda Hovendon

How about some funny cooking videos too? Like the “Cooking With Adam” video from Home Free that was posted on Twitter like a month ago. That was literally just a snippet from their new Christmas video, but that was HILARIOUS 😂

Hunter

I’ve been wanting him to do one for a while but of course anything he puts his mind to always comes out awesome!

Els Peeters (=jopperke)

A tour of Italy and the Netherlands to discover your roots (there was a Dutch bible in the headless horseman I recall?)! And since you'll be in the neighborhood, just pop over to Belgium and enjoy our food and beer ;-)

Alid Sinistra

Sarah Reach - I am all for that as well! While any relatively recent books would involve licensing and copyright gobbledegook, there are many that are in the public domain themselves, but the narration would still be copyrightable. (Which I only know this little bit about because of a website called Librivox!)

Amanda Hovendon

Yes! Or visit local historical places❤️

Suzy Bailey

Echoing all the above. I agree with a video of your arranging/video process, you did say you might try that. I'm not musical but would still find it interesting and I might learn something! I'd also love another Q & A video, been a while since the last one! Live narration, yes please! Really tho' anything you're passionate about, singing or speaking, we all just love listening to your wonderfully rich voice! 🙂💜

Shannon W

How about a knitting tutorial? Or maybe whittling? 🤔 😂 Jokes aside, I like the idea of a book club or a literary discussion of some kind. The cooking/baking suggestions are great too. How about reviews on different kinds of coffee and tea? Get really nerdy about anything you enjoy and most of us will be happy to go along on the journey.

Fran Calhoon

I would love to see you act in something.

Sarah Reach

Thanks for sharing this! I had seen a clip or two, but not the whole thing.

Diane Mo

I know right? Geoff being the DM narrates the storyline and then out comes a Bugbear Butcher, chasing the Heroes with an Axe! I wonder how he is going to voice that. I suppose this isn’t music related as long as they don’t all play Bards.

Sarah Reach

Yes, a general guideline for American copyright is 95 years from first publication, so anything from 1926 or before is now public domain. There are lots of classics to choose from. (I may have fallen into a public domain law rabbit hole after realizing GRYMG and HOTRS - and now Shenandoah - were public domain. Yes, I am that much of a nerd 🤓)

Rosie Boughen

Amanda - imagine if Geoff read aloud the book written by Geoff ☺️

Rosie Boughen

He did ASMR in a Q&A video once… that’s more than enough for me! 😂😜

Carol Franklin

I’m on board with the audiobook idea or any readings. Also I think seeing how you work on a video etc would be interesting I enjoyed the one you did on arrangements.

Amy Witkowski

Yes. More Clayton Castellucci content please. I'm sure he knows all the best gossip.

MaverickinExile

Definitely seconding the cooking/baking. Also wanted to ask if you’d considered doing music reaction videos along the lines of Elizabeth at The Charismatic Voice? Or your own specific brand of musical analysis?

Amy Witkowski

I will second that Belgium is a gorgeous country with a rich history and worth visiting!

Shirley B Karr

More narrations. Your voice is my favorite form of ASMR. Feel free to move to lighter fare, though, for the same reason you re-shot Monster Mash. Cooking vids might be fun. I still laugh at the clip of you eating a salad in Viking make-up, and the "cake" you made in Still Alive. Your sense of humor might translate well to David Sedaris/Dave Barry-esque commentary - working with the guys, playing an out-of-tune piano, life as a dad, etc. More tutorials, please - how to be your own quartet, reading and writing music, explain Layne's obsession with carrots. Love the behind-the-scenes stuff and the interview with Kathy. Maybe an "Ask Geoff" but Kathy gets to choose the questions. You two were friends and co-workers for many years before marrying (long after you were no longer jailbait); as a writer, I'm dying to know what finally flipped the switch from platonic to romantic love. (Yes, I will totally use it in a book. :-) )

Amy Witkowski

Your personal altruism. Now that you're developing a community around you, you could take the opportunity to communicate about and teach others about cause/s that you are passionate about. "With great power comes great responsibility". Use your new found "power" to better the world.

Sarah Reach

You know... I was taking this suggestion as a joke, but actually - if you teamed up with your MCA friends and made some theater makeup tutorials, that would legitimately be fascinating.

Laryn A. Tapp

I'm not gonna lie...I don't want audio books! With my memory loss, I wouldn't have the faintest idea what you're talking about but I can enjoy your voice! It's obvious that music is your passion but that doesn't mean it's your only passion. If you decide to do something because your fans are wanting you to do it, if it's not something important to you then it will show. While we enjoy your voice you'll be wishing it will be over soon. Obviously your voice is what caught our attention at first but your voice is not the only amazing thing about you. It's not a good way to live if you do something for other people but you are not interested. I would hope that what we want to see is your happiness in whatever you decide to do...your eyes lit up, a laugh and hopefully more than one, excitement like a kid at Christmas....basically just enjoying life. Personally, I vote for whatever makes you happy!

Unethical Podcast

I just want Geoff to help me look like a Dwarf King for daytime and Ursula for evening time.

Tine

Interesting question to ask for sure! I agree with cooking, or fun vlogs etc.. and NO asmr please.. Do whatever you fancy, whatever is an itch that needs scratching in that incredible mind of yours as chances are that will be an incredible brainchild that we will love and cherish a lot as well! I do appreciate you asking and sharing your thoughts you thought about as well. Seriously, go where your heart and mind take you. Judging from your writing and how we know you, that will take you to beautiful and interesting places and I'd be so happy to go along that ride in whatever form you decide you want to share that with us mere peasants. Don't feel bad to do something you want to do we might not have mentioned either. Go for it.😉 I cannot wait to see what you come up with. Best of luck with all these responses and ideas.

Sarah Reach

I for one, have no qualms about helping finance a working vacation for you and the family if you wanted to go this route. You need and deserve a vacation, and we would love to come along in vlog form 😁

Bard

In that same vein, full versions of any of these songs XD

Judy Wilde

I think a lot of people are already suggesting cooking/baking videos. I know that’s an interest of yours. But can I suggest an angle? I watch a lot of cooking videos and shows. One of my favorites was always Alton Brown. But he seems to have gone around the bend lately (I know it’s hard to tell, but his under the table/fort video after being on Worst Cooks seemed to be a breaking point.) So I think there’s room for cooking videos that are informative, but quirky. And I could see you doing that.

Michelle G

I agree with others who say just do something you enjoy or feel passionate about. It's got to be something you won't get bored with or feel pressured to come up with ideas for. Also, time with your family is also important, so as much as we'd love you sharing extra stuff please don't burn yourself out tipping over the work/life balance.

alice collins

Geoff, I have the feeling that you already have something in mind and are merely seeking confirmation. If that is indeed the case, I say, go ahead and run it up the flagpole and see what happens.

Michelle G

Like others I've enjoyed your narrations, so maybe some more poems. Can I make a request for The Lady of Shalott?

Sarah Reach

DO IT! (Don't know what "it" is, doesn't matter 😉)

Marlo Schalesky

It would be fun to have you write your own stuff and make audio versions of that.

Jacklinka

Please give us a hint, which kind of THOUGHT you think with the thinker and we'll help together to think it better-er 😀

ObscureReferenceWoman

How about some guided meditation type stuff? Whatever you come up with, I’m sure it’ll be great, but that thought has crossed my thinking a few times now, so I’ll throw it out there.

Diana and Doris Donnell

Ooooh! My sister and I absolutely love your book narrations and would love more of those! Perhaps longer projects of full books! Also, I think it could be really awesome to have some kind of "Geoff's Captains Log" with you explaining the more technical and creative process of your projects! Just a few thoughts from my tired thinkery thing 🤪

Åse M Bruun Lagnestål

You really have a great feeling for words, and I’ve heard you have skills in the kitchen. What if you combined them both and made good, tasty recipes with good humorous texts? 😋👍

J.L.

If you have had a thinker with the thinky thing and is but a whispy whisker away from it, I say, go for it -- it is as with your selection of songs, you may like something that commercially may not be 'the thing', but we here appreciate it nevertheless. So, do go ahead and toss it out for us here -- if your instinty instincts nibbles at your imagination, go for it! You got the blessing of this here cat in my profile picture! =^,^= P.S. As for the nature of the thinky thing, oh, anything you want to try. Who am I to tell you but someone who appreciate what you already do? (c:

Amanda Hovendon

I’m kind of curious though, what did YOU have in mind when you posted this post Geoff?😁

Lorraine Tellei

read "The Highwayman" by Alfred Noyes. And read it following the punctuation, not necessarily stopping at the end of lines.

Gamesz

How about improving your interaction with yourself in any Video you would love to do. I really enjoy that and think that is the best part (beside your singing of course). I know that this is Not easy to do, but it is only a thought that i would like to throw into your thinking process

Tani (like Tony but with an 'AAAH')

Mister Castellucci, maybe you would be intersted in telling us more about the vocal thechniques you use and the process of training them? Like, how do you warm your voice up before recording (if you do), and a bit more about, the physics/biology behid the subharmonics/vocal fry? How and why it does work?

Veronika Troll

To be honest I would happily watch or listen everything that you do, especially if you enjoy making it of course! We are here to support you, so you can do anything you like :) But if you neee ideas: I would love to see you talk about music and some cooking/baking content would be amazing too :)

Hector Solana

Writing! Definitely writing... It would be SO darned interesting to scratch the surface about how that genius, twisted (in the very best sense) mind of yours might work in words rather than musical notes...

Gamesz

Sorry,“develop“ is a better english word for what i mean. My iPad and i are fighting with the english language 🤣 for would it recommends „Wolldecke“ 🤣

Tine

Does it count as something not musical to ask you to give us a demo on how you work in DAW? I guess not really😅

Rachael Heidi

Personally I would LOVE to see a "Cooking with..." kinda thing 😍. I do love how you write too, though. It's tough, you're great at many things... In reality I'd watch anything you put out haha.

Cassandra Collins

I really enjoy your spoken word pieces. I have them in a playlist that I fall asleep to (as someone else mentioned, I’ve never made it straight through The Little Mermaid in one go). I’d love more stories for my list.

Gillian Drysdale

how about a series of Geoff chats with where you talk to some of the other musicians you know or have collaborated with? I’d love to see a Geoff chats with Tim Faust for example ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Levi Owen

So you and the Mrs. Are really busy I’m sure with all projects. It’s a bit personal but also a way to connect with fans as some to a point start to feel like family. What about behind the scenes of blurbs of what home, husband, dad life are like. Example of the struggles of the Mrs keeping things quite with the littles while your working. Or cooking time with Geoff. Just an idea and probably not the best compared to others but a way to connect with extended Fan family.

D McKim

Well, well, well it appears that someone has wandered close enough to my perfect afternoon, talk of good books. I have read whole libraries, so please excuse my little list, I omitted works not in English as translation sometimes messes with the flow of words and the meaning of things can get a bit muddy. As such I think that this is plenty (humor/sarcasm). Sorry, totally not sorry. There are so many wonderful works in the public domain that could be used for fodder if you wish to branch out, let me do some digging and I will make a quick list. I can not emphasize enough my support for a multi video audiobook. Pretty please? While my little list is not exclusively horror, dogs bark, cats meow and I love a good horror novel. I doubt that I am too lonely of a horror fan among the Patreon, I wonder if anyone will have suggestions longer than my list? Doubt it, though I do have a favorite book list to consult.... on with the list! Thank goodness for copy and paste so I didn't have to type all of this.

D McKim

• Anything by Shakespeare (with special nomination of Merchant of Venice) • The Picture of Dorian Gray • At the Mountains of Madness - H.P. Lovecraft (certainly anything else by Lovecraft would be fabulous, but there is something about this particular story. I think that even non horror fans can relate to the feeling of losing one's mind.) Ray Bradbury short stories: • There Will Come Soft Rains • Asleep in Armageddon • Lazarus Come Forth Agatha Christie • The Man in the Brown Suit • The Secret of Chimneys • The Murder on the Links The rest in no particular order: • Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde • Behind a Mask: The Unknown Thrillers of Louisa May Alcott (this is pretty hysterical in my opinion. You don't realize what a feminist story it is until the plot twist. Revolutionary for its time.) • Carmilla by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu (before Dracula was the personification of all vampires we had Camilla, who is just as iconic and fabulous) • The Turn of the Screw, Henry James (fairly sizable influence on Poe and some have argued that he stole a bit of his style) • Melmoth the Wanderer, Charles Robert Maturin • The Great God Pan - Arthur Machen • The Three Impostors - also by Arthur Machen (it is said that he had a huge influence on Lovecraft, after reading this novel it is a difficult point to argue against) • The Island of Doctor Moreau • Of Human Bondage (it's sort of long, but it is such a wonderful book! I have read it dozens of times with clients and am still not sick of it) • Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea • The Eyes Have It: Philip K Dick (the copyright was not renewed in time and it was made public domain by default) • A Study in Scarlet • The War of the Worlds • Omnilingual a science fiction short story by H. Beam Piper about archaeology in an alien culture • Don Quixote • Dracula • The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell (I would consider this more frightening than Dracula. A vampire is a monster but the villain in this is a man, the short story explores man's blood thirst and socially accepted nature of "hunting.") I would also like to point out that if you read this story and then watch just about any episode of the series "Criminal Minds" that you might have some difficultly deciding who is the hunter and who is the prey on that show or any crime procedural. • The Count of Monte Cristo • The House on the Borderlands - William Hope Hodgson (the story that essentially created the creepy house in the countryside troupe) • Mysteries of Udolpho by Ann Ward Radcliffe • Faust • Three Men in a Boat by Jerome K. Jerome (this is very funny) • A Negro Explorer at the North Pole If something more short form might be of interest how about a bit of poetry that seems to speak of today despite being written long ago? • Wordsworth - Short but timeless poetry: The World Is Too Much With Us https://poetscollective.org/publicdomain/world-much-us/ • Tennyson - Highbrow poetry: https://poetscollective.org/publicdomain/the-brook/ • Marianne Moore - The Fish: A poem with strong visual imagery (underwater world) https://poets.org/poem/fish-1 • Robert Frost's entire book of poetry, New Hampshire is public domain and fair game

As so many other patreons wrote, we are here to support your work and whatever yoou might come up with. But I would be also be very interested in learning how you plan and realize your musik videos, from the basic idea to how you create the background to the editing prozess

Hunter

I made it through Little Mermaid, fell asleep then the friggin’ sea witch scared me awake. “I KNOW YOU WANT!” If you know, lemme sleep! 🤣

Ellen L Brownell

Geoff, please just continue to do what you do and I will support you 100%.

Els Peeters (=jopperke)

I'm not sure anymore, but I believe Kathy herself shared this link after a Q&A.

If you wanted to do this: I can help if you want to make an educational something about cats. I'm a biologist specialised in the domestic cat and a friend of mine is a behavioural therapist and author of books about cats. A few of her books have been translated and are available in many languages. You can check her out here: https://www.ilovehappycats.com/

I love Alton Brown. Being a very analytical person, I never learned anything from other cooking shows, but by giving the science behind the recipes, I could finally understand why you have to do the things you do when cooking.

Coda

I may not be Geoff, but I appreciate this just as much (I didn't know about Carmilla!)

-

Probably not ... personally, I'd love to see that, though! :D

Barbara Binney

As has been mentioned ad nauseum, we would love anything you do that you are passionate about. Personally, I would like it if you did some cooking demonstrations, tried your hand at creative writing, or “A Day in the Life of the Castellucci Family” video series where you go out and do things with Kathy and William.

Riley

I truly enjoyed your Halloween poem readings. I'd love to hear more spoken word projects!

D McKim

I think that it's only fair to warn you that while it is a wonderful literary work, the film adaptations tend to be ummmm, less than amazing? Most are awful, several are parodies that the writers seem to have missed the majority of the themes of the book, the undertones and the plot. Mostly they ramped up the lesbian overtones and threw away the rest. Actually, I recently reread it and realized that it serves as sort of a prequel to Buffy the Vampire Slayer as far as the character archetype in the genre. It is one of my favorites in the horror genre, though it is less horrifying than some others in my collection.

Gretchen G

So this isn't not music related, but . . . If you wanted to write some original music sometime you could share different stages in the drafting process. I imagine it would take significantly longer than arranging and performing an existing song, and I for one wouldn't mind at all if we had to wait awhile for a finished product. But it would be neat if you shared some drafts and ideas as you went along. I agree with everyone else that you should choose something that you are genuinely interested in. We trust your judgement! It's been great so far. Also, I know a lot of people want to see more about your family, but please don't feel pressured into including them if you're not all 100% comfortable with it! Privacy is valuable.

Jennifer

I've been quietly hoping for more fairy tales ever since The Little Mermaid... I'm not really one for horror stories! Otherwise, I'd echo all the people saying go with your hobbies and interests - either ones you already have, or ones you'd like to start. I imagine there's a fair few of us who would enjoy learning something new along with you

Gretchen G

He's already done Jabberwocky. It's on YouTube. I'll second these other suggestions!

Melissa Struxness

I watch/listen to whatever you do so I agree with the others. Maybe a Stephen King short story? One of his old ones. Not a fan of his new stuff. Just a thought

Christina Dowdican

I agree with a lot thats been posted. Do what YOU are most passionate about no matter if its readings, BTS of videos current or past, Demos/ Recipes of some of your favorite foods/ desserts. (Personally i would love some recipes of your favorite Italian or any foods/desserts as my husband is Irish- Italian) His Mom & Grandma wouldn't share their recipes with a non Italian such as myself even tho it was for him.

Kim Jones

i would answer your question with a question, which question is: what do you enjoy doing that isn't necessarily musical? I'm pretty sure that it would be enjoyable to see you introduce us to whatever you enjoy.

Paulene Thorne

Got to agree with the sentiment here - do what drives you creatively. That's what we're all here for, to support your creativity. I'd love to know what your thinker is thinking of though, and what direction that creativity is leading you. One thing I haven't seen mentioned (apologies to anyone who HAS said this) - are you thinking of penning your own short story, and narrating it? ie: do you have an idea for a plot and would like to see where it could go? TBH whatever you have in mind will resonate with your Patreon community, since we're pretty much all on the same page.

Kristin Taggart

I do like your story/poetry narrations, but I will enjoy whatever you choose to do. I admire your creativity and am curious to see what you do next!

DS Hall

I’d like to see you (and Kathy) audition and train children for a cappella singing groups. Possibly a reality show competition recorded through the process.

Angelic

I agree with most everyone above that mention cooking/baking videos, maybe sharing some family recipes. Another idea, maybe make videos/stories about your funniest, favorite, most embarrassing...etc. moments. When those kinds of questions are asked it seems that you have so many that you are not sure which ones to talk about. I think everyone would love to hear more about those kinds of things.

Dee Herrera

Narrating a short (or long) story would be awesome. Recipes, just “a day in the life”, whatever makes you happy! 🥰🥰🥰

Michelle G

Geoff narrating The War of the Worlds is something I never knew I needed but now I need it 😄

William Hutchinson

I would love to see you as Snidely Whiplash in a short play.

Snappy

I would honestly watch anything that you enjoy doing and don't mind sharing with us all, cooking, baking, more reading, some family fun times 🙂

Amanda Hovendon

I think that you’d be a great voice actor too Geoff😀

Alisa Sternfield

It honestly doesn't matter what you do I'm sure we will all love it.

Janine

I agree with what many have said already. You would I'm sure be amazing at whatever you chose to try but I think the main thing is that you are enjoying what you do. You have a lot of people who very obviously just want to support you in doing what makes you happy.

J. Tako

Might I suggest you read George's Marvelous Medicine by Roald Dahl (even if you don't make a video of the narration, I think you'd get a kick out of the sheer ridiculousness of it!)

Rhonda & Anna

All I can think about is Wreck It Ralph when he's trying to make all the popular videos to get likes. Open Sesa-bees! Although, from what Geoff's shared, his pie is guaranteed to be better! :)

alice collins

One of my desert island books is Lest Darkness Fall by L Sprague de Camp. One of the best time travel books ever written. I've read it many times.

Huldra Draco

It may be hard to fathom, Geoff, but we are here because we love hanging out with you, lol. What ever you decide to do for us, weather it is live streams, videos or just audio tracks, as long as we know you do them because you love doing it, that's what we are here for. You said in your Patreon video that this channel was for "more", that "I am the bass singer from Voiceplay, but I'm also... more." The more is what we came for. We want to see/hear what you are passionate about, what you are interested in, what brings you joy and excitement, what inspires you. What ever that is, THAT is what we want to see/hear. Because that is where your heart is, and nothing is more interesting than watching/hearing about the passions of someone we love and admire ❤

Karyn Morrison

exactly ... couldn't have said it better

John & Sarah Hodge

I think you should do voice over work for animated characters. I would love to see you do the voice for a Disney character. With that deep base voice of yours you would be a great villain. They do get the best songs and you have that part in the bag.

Rachel Blackthorne

Geoff, whatever you choose to share with us we will love. That's why we are your Patrons. Because we love what you do. That being said I would love to watch the beginning of your process for picking songs...

Rachael Heidi

I want to add to what I said the other day. I'd love to see vlogs every now and again of whatever you feel comfortable sharing, as well as you playing musical instruments just, like you in room, messing around with your own music or just playing known songs too. Keyboard or guitar or whatever you like to play. 🎶💖

Bard

Late idea but my husband and I were chatting and thinking that, much like narrations, your voice would also be very well suited to reading guided meditation scripts. Just a thought!

Hunter

"Geoff Castellucci do, what Geoff Castellucci, do." - Dennis, KingFamilyReacts

R. W. Hansen

I was wondering this recently as well.

Andrea Oliver

I could listen to you read the phone book. I could totally hear you reading The Black Dagger Brotherhood series by Jr Ward, or the character Acheron in the Dark Hunter's series by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

Kathy Traxler

I agree with both of these suggestions

Amy Cottrell

I always love the dress up stuff the best My Musical Theater Heart sqweels the Big sqweel everytime yall raid TheTrunk So yah... that....and something dark I'd love to see yall cover Making Christmas I know you love your NBC ☠ PTX DOES AN AMAZING VERSION But, What They will Never Have as the PTX Brand, IS #TheFreedom to be all FlippyFlooping Ridiculous, as Yall often, more consistently than not, mostly almost ARE 💞 HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE

Amy Cottrell

Do THEY still make Phone Books?? I would pay, the extra Extra Moolah to See*Hear*Smell that

Samantha Ratcliff

I desperately want to see pictures of all of voiceplay when they were younger, so obviously this would just be you on your channel. I’d love to hear funny stories, or any stories from years past. Anything that we wouldn’t normally know. I’d love for us to meet your families and they share stories too. I’d love to hear more from Kathy, any funny things she can tell us about you. I love watching you both together, and William too! Anything family orientated would be great.
