What's next? Not to say that I'm not already working on things, but out of curiosity, what would YOU like to see/hear. There are no wrong answers here, except for maybe miracle whip. Miracle Whip is always wrong.

Scott Bean

I know I'm late to the party and am hoping someone still checks for new answers to the question. I would love to hear the four of you sing one of the most moving songs I've ever heard: Angel by Sarah McLachlan.

Emily Dion

Secret Agent Man - Johnny Rivers

Kess Rutland-Edwards

I’d love to hear you try “hey little songbird” from the musical Hadestown. The only thing you’ll need is a female vocalist but this would be perfect, especially for Halloween.

Ashley

A bass version of Shut up and Dance 😍

Liz Munro

Bad Bad Leroy Brown by Jim Croce please

Camila Rokiski

A cover of Remains of the day from the Corpse Bride Disney movie 🖤

Melissa Clabaugh

More Elvis, and hard agree on the miracle whip 🤢

Amanda Hovendon

I have a Holiday song request. The Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth by Bing Crosby and David Bowie. I think you would nail that song.

Beth Walsh

Thank you. Miracle Whip is definitely wrong. As far as whats next, I would love you to do "O Come O Come Emmanuel" for Christmas. I am sure you would do an amazing job.

Trisha

Is it wrong I'd love to hear you sing The Longest Time by Billy Joel?? That would be awesome

Jacob Tipple

I know Home Free did a version on this already but Ring of Fire by Jhonny Cash would be amazing

Katie D

Miracle Whip IS always wrong, you are correct. That being said, I would love to hear something by Metallica from you. Barring that, perhaps Scarborough Fair by Simon and Garfunkel?

Ruth Barkey

Lil' Red Riding Hood Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs please.

Jamie Nieznay

Or their song "Hell's Comin' With Me'!

Ashley

I'd love to hear this! 😍

ZAYRAY!

Barbie girl…. I mean you said there was no wrong answers…. So….. Barbie girl 🤣

María Gabriela

Hey Geoff, first of all, hello! I was wondering...Do you know the song "Die House/King Dice's Theme" sung by Alana Bridgewater? It's a very well-known videogame song (from Cuphead). Jazzy, 1930's style, made for voices on the lower range. Maybe you'd like it!

Dawn Ours

Marty Robbins- anything from the Gunslinger album like maybe Mr Shorty or Big Iron ?

Amanda Hovendon

Also, Jack’s Lament from The Nightmare Before Christmas

Janet Towles

Heaven, by the Los Lonely Boys (this might be a good for VP too)

Katherine Linkous

Ooh! For Halloween, how about The Swamp Witch song that Jim Stafford did in the 70's...I think?

Jamie Nieznay

2 requests on this post. 1) Perfectly Imperfect by Declan J Donovan. And one for a friend, Caledonia by Celtic Women

Katt Graham

Bilbo Baggins! lol Really that was a cute song, I mean you did misty mountain. The hobbits need love too! :)

Jessica Guerrero

Ring of Fire! You have the most perfect voice for it

Robin P

team up with Layne for The Devil Went Down to Georgia

Brianna Bianco

I'd love to hear The Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel, Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera, and Poor Wayfaring Stranger.

Maggie S

This would be amazing! Definitely upvote this suggestion.

Édua Elster

Maybe nothing for now, but Joe Cockers Summer in the City (Original from the Lovin’ Spoonful) or Unchain my heart (Original from Ray Charles). Mad World from Gary Jules (Original Tears for Fears) or the Sound of Silence from Simon & Garfunkel.

Tristan Boyles

Christmas - Veni, Veni Emmanuel (or the English version, O Come, O Emmanuel), Mary, Did you know, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen Other - Hell's Coming With Me by Poor Man's Poison, Cattleman's Gun by Dean Brody, Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash

Brianna Bianco

Also maybe God Help the Outcasts from Hunchback! And O Come O Come Immanuel for Christmas!

Jordi S

I have always like a little song called "The Legend of the Parlangua" I think by The Cahoots. It was a local house band and they used to play their version on the radio. The versions I can find on the web these days don't do the sound justice. That being said - it probably wouldn't get clicks from anyone but me 😉

Amanda Paige

“Your Man”. please please please, pretty please!!!!! i can’t even imagine the amazingness of that with your voice.. oh and for the entire Voiceplay group, “Minute by Minute” by the Doobie Brothers would be really cool

Brianna Bianco

And In the Dark of the Night from Anastasia! And Be Prepared from Lion King!

Sarah Reach

You do know that he did God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman last year, right?

Debbie Goodling

I’d like to hear you do “Santa Claus is Coming on a Boogie Woogie Choo Choo Train” by the Tractors. Granted it would be perfect for VOICEPLAY but you could do it with the clones.

Tristan Boyles

You're right, I completely forgot 😂

William Strickler

People are Strange, or Riders on the Storm by the Doors.

Gretchen G

Bad Things by Jace Everett! That song is just begging for somebody with a nice deep voice to sing it. It's got a bit of a southern twang, some sorta gravely/growly lines, and a little speak-singing. Totally up your alley. Narrations would also be great. "Young Goodman Brown" is a good Halloween one. A man meets the devil one night on the road through the woods . . . But mostly I just want you to do whatever projects you're interested in and excited about. I'll be here to support you. 🙂

Mike Pearce

Miracle Whip is an abomination against food.

Beth Comer

Wicked Game. I'd love to hear what you make of it. And I'm likely the only person in the world who would ever suggest this, but I think you'd do amazing things with Song To The Siren by Tim Buckley (although more people know the cover by This Mortal Coil) It's not a terribly popular song, and probably not any kind of contender and also I'm an odd bird, so I hope you at least get a good chuckle out of the idea.

Kimberly Friend

Hushabye Mountain from Chitty Chitty Bang bang

Caroline Larochelle

Starmania (or "Tycoon" in English) is waiting for you! In French, you'll be brilliant in the aria "SOS d'un terrien en détresse". In English, the same aria is known as"Only the very best". The world needs it. Your vocal range, your creativity and the warmth in your tone and your legato will blow our minds. Please! Consider it. Maybe a link to listen to this song? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwmHx_C7itk

Tom Peavy

It’s a song not on most playlists, but I’ve always wanted to hear you do “My Body is a Cage”, originally by Arcade Fire and covered more famously by Peter Gabriel.

Tara Congo

Wicked Game by Chris Isaak 😁

Lois McCray

Every time I hear People are Strange I envision The Lost Boys. lol. also on my list.

Scott Boa

Ol' Man River by Paul Robeson would be perfect for your low voice. Also, I'd like to see you go out of your comfort zone with Old Time Rock and Roll by Bob Seger. After watching what you did with Ghost Riders, I KNOW you can do great with Old Time Rock and Roll.

Kaleigh Henderson

Jingle Bell Rock or Blue Christmas for a holiday tune! Or outside of that, I will be asking for Rainbow Connection until the day I die or the day you do it, whichever comes first 😉

Justin Bush

Lida Rose/Will I Ever Tell You from The Music Man. I feel like the harmonies & SUPER bass notes you could add to it would be remarkable!

Sarah Reach

Not exactly a song request, but I am hoping for another slow, piano feature like Shenandoah or High and Dry. I don't know if two data points are enough to connect the dots of a pattern, but you made those choices each new year release, and I am hoping that we get something reflective and with your beautiful bari-tenor soon 🥰

Crisstina Joubert

"Witchy Woman" by the Eagles, of course. Can only imagine your unique spin on it!🤩

Glynda

I would like to hear your take on "Behind Blue Eyes" by the Who.. I think you could make something very special.

Gillian Drysdale

up on the roof would be good - don’t even know what miracle whip is! don’t think we have it in Scotland

Mikki Fullerton

That's right, throw away that tangy zip and stick to mayo! First choice every time? Give me an original Geoff piece. However, if you want the extra views from using known songs.... I'm ready for a love song. How about Nat King Cole's When I fall in Love or Bryan Adams' Everything I Do I Do It For You, or if you want to bring back some of that fine janitor clone choreo do Peggy Lee's Fever and give us all some good laughs again, that was amazing last time you did a spicy song! If not a love song, then I'd be interested in hearing your take on Johnny Cash's Walk the Line, Gene Kelly's Singing in the Rain, Blake Shelton's Ol' Red , or Paul McCartney's Hey Jude. For holidays, maybe next Halloween try out In the Dark of the Night from Anastasia? And (sorry Kathy) I'm still hoping for Maria Carey's All I Want for Christmas someday...

Debbie Buck

I would also love to hear your take on the Eagles 'Witchy Woman'. 💓

Madison Kinsey

I’d be interest to hear what you could do with the song Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys by Waylon Jennings

Tara Congo

I know you mentioned in your last chat that you weren't doing narrations right now, but since you asked what *we'd* like to see and said there were no wrong answers...... I'd love to hear a Christmas-y narration 😊 Your readings are just the best.

Thomas Onisto

Have you ever thought about 'Blue Bayou' by Linda Ronstadt. It's my favorite song, I think you would do an amazing version of it.

Debs Badger

Bad Moon Rising (CCR) (Don't Fear) The Reaper (BOC) Bad Things (Jace Everett) Big Iron (Marty Robbins/Mike Ness) Suspicious Minds (Elvis) Dead Man's Party (Oingo Boingo) ETA: I feel I have to say I have absolutely ZERO interest in hearing you do either Ring of Fire or Sound of Silence, they are both completely overdone.

Jacky Friedman

I agree about miracle whip. How about something different? Pilgrims and Indians for thanksgiving? David Bowie Without You from lLabyrinth. Stayin Alive or something from the Bee Gees. We all know Daryl can sing that high 😂

Susan Zoe Bella

🤣🤣🤣 Den and I were just talking about Miracle Whip! And how awful it is because my sister texted me a week ago that she paid 7 bucks for a jar. And we were like what??? My parents used that stuff on everything, then Gran moved into the farm and introduced me to Hellmans...life was good again. I laughed when I saw this message. You are so funny! And the torn like an old sweater cracked me up too. I bet you keep high boundaries because everyone wants to be around someone so delightful. Anyway, I can't ever seem to give a short answer, the pitfalls of being a writer. Gosh, what do we want to see? Okay ...YOU'RE GONE by Diamond Rio... would make me cry but I bet it would be heartwrenching. You gotta do something heartwrenching. You did pop, country, spooky, ... been awhile since you yanked our emotions to the floor. How about Rock Me Gently by Andy Kim? Ooo, Ooo, Do I Wanna Know by Artic Monkeys? Omgosh you would kill that! Ooo, You'll Accompany Me by Bob Seger or Night Moves or or or TURN THE PAGE! Ooo, Sound of Silence!!!! Yes that! Are you in a conundrum? I could list 100 songs that need your vocal touch! I'm an all genre type, name that tune champion at parties, music is my inspiration. Ooo please do something soulful that sends a simultaneous sigh of bliss into the universe. No dramatics here LOL ❤️💜💙💚💛🧡🤍❤️

Lady D Richter

I do hope you will do "I Wonder as I Wander" for Christmas. I'd also love a rendition of Springsteen's "(I'm on) Fire" But, PLEASE, the Love song from Princess Bride would be perfect for your voice, and absolutely perfect for a Valentine's release. You would look hot as the Dread Pirate Roberts! Not that you need help in that area 😉

Angie Woollard

Gershwin’s “Summertime” - I’d love to see what spin you could put on it. Diana Krall did an amazing version that’s quite the departure from the one everyone thinks of when they think of this song - the possibilities are endless.

Rebecca Hendricks

You prefer fudgy brownies and hate Miracle Whip. We can only continue being friends as long as we never eat lunch together. What would I like to hear? A duet. Something fun and romantic, like Sue Me from Guys and Dolls, if you think you're up to singing some Sinatra. Might be a bit out of your wheelhouse, but you said there were no wrong answers...

Alisha Watson

Thomas Rhett "Die A Happy Man", "King of the Road" by Roger Miller, "Long Black Train" by Josh Turner, and I know it's been done to death, but I'd love to hear what you do with the "Wellerman" sea shanty.

Karin Berg

Some Jekyll & Hyde perhaps? And I'm still waiting for a lullaby. Or a full version of You'll Be In My Heart.

Rebecca Hendricks

Check out the version by Steven Curtis Chapman. It's beautiful yet different!

Sarah Reach

Seconded! My favorite narration, by the way, is An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge, because you seem to be most expressive in that one and use the full range of your voice, rather than in some of your more explicitly Gothic spooky stories where your focus seems to be on darkening your voice to be creepy. If and when you go back to narrations, I hope you keep that in mind and use your full voice acting range.

Karin Berg

By the way, yes, if you ever go to Britain and wish to be able to introduce yourself as an a capella singer you may want to know who The Flying Pickets are... 😉 I'd love to hear what you and VoicePlay can do with some of their old hits like Psycho Killer, Only You, and Disco Down.

Randiskye

I thought I heard a certain low bass cover singer say in his chat a while back that he was contemplating doing a cover of 'Jack's Lament'.

Laryn A. Tapp

A classic...The Impossible Dream! Perfect for your voice and instant relaxation for us! Pretty please?! 😅

Beth Walsh

I would also love to hear you do Jim Croce's "Bad Bad Leroy Brown." And oh that could be a very fun video!

Hector Solana

Hello, there!!! How about "Danny Boy"? Just saying...

Amanda Hovendon

I think you’re right but I think I also remember him saying that he would like to try? I might be wrong. I just think he could do something really cool with it.

Laryn A. Tapp

Any chance you would do a piece from musical theater?? Les Miserable or Phantom of the Opera??

Raevon

I definitely agree on the Miracle Whip comment... Just NO! But my suggestions are a little more on the rock and roll side. I would love to hear your take on "Sound of Silence" or The Eagles' "Desperado"

Robin P

Maybe A Christmas Carol a chapter at a time released between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve?

ZAYRAY!

I’m gonna keep asking till I get it 🤣🤣🤣 you know that 🤣

Angie Woollard

Ooh Desperado would be interesting…

Sarah Reach

I already posted some these requests/ideas as a reply to another post, but just in case you didn't see them: "The Highwayman" by the Highwaymen "Big Iron" by Marty Robbins "The Thunder Rolls" by Garth Brooks "I only have eyes for you" by Art Garfunkel "Always on My Mind" by Elvis Presley "Poor Wayfaring Stranger" Traditional "Little Drummer Boy" "O Come O Come Emmanuel"

Laryn A. Tapp

If I Were a Rich Man...from Fiddler on the Roof! I think you would have a blast with that!

Rose Arthur

I was one who requested Ghost Riders a few times... I'm sorry about that 😅 but maybe Hell fire. When you sang a bit of it with Voiceplay a while back I thought it sounded really cool with your voice. I've always thought how awesome it would sound as a full length song.

Sarah Dworak

Still dying for Van Morrison’s “Into the Mystic.” Daryl had such strong Waylon Jennings vibes, which made me think of “The Highwayman.”

Tigsa

"Those Were the Days" by Mary Hopkins, "Addicted" by Dan Seals, "I Love a Rainy Night" by Eddie Rabbit, "Don't Bring Me Down" by E.L.O., "Sundown" by Gordon Lightfoot or "I Know You're Out There Somewhere" by The Moody Blues

Caroline Larochelle

And "The Secret of Christmas" (Bing Crosby). Such a magnificent song and very moving lyrics. I don't know why this song is so rarely done.

Jojo Hale

Mack the Knife (Threepenny Opera, famously recorded by Bobby Darin) Black Magic Woman Shankill Butchers (Decemberists) Season of the Witch Rainbow Connection Kate McCannon (Colter Wall) Cassiopeia (Sara Bareilles)

Angie Woollard

VoicePlay has done that one - check out their YouTube channel!

Andrea Oliver

Working Man by Rita MacNeil & The Men Of The Deep Everybody Knows by Leonard Cohan The Highwatmen by The Highwaymen

Tigsa

Sit Down You're Rockin' the Boat would be fun, too

Amanda Hovendon

I like Riders in The Sky’s version of You’ve Got A Friend in Me from Toy Story 2.

Brontesaurus Rex

I still really want "Where Did You Sleep Last Night?" It's the only thing I can think of that's simultaneously in my wheelhouse of weird old folk songs and not completely obscure because Nirvana covered it. It's so beautiful and powerful and haunting and I love it and please My students would probably never forgive me if I didn't put in a word for more Thurl Ravenscroft, they just asked for "Saddle Up" again the other day.

Tigsa

I'd like King of the Road, too!

Helen A

The last few songs have been very cool, but with very complicated arrangements and videos. In the interests of NOT having you fall over from exhaustion, I'd love to have another of the simpler (relative term, I know) vids like "High and Dry" or "Country Roads". Just for kicks, maybe a lower modulated version of a high tenor original like "Warmth of the Sun" by Brian Wilson or "Don't Let Our Love Start Slipping Away" by Vince Gill.

Amanda Hovendon

VoicePlay has already done that and it’s phenomenal

Tigsa

The Thunder Rolls would be awesome

Allison Landis

Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen is a humble request from my mother and I. I also agree with everyone saying "Sound of Silence"

Tigsa

If you enjoy that song, check out VoicePlay's version! 😊

Bill Frohnapfel

Carol of the bells. I know it's early for Christmas but it's my favorite Christmas song and I know you would do an amazing job with it.

Amanda Hovendon

That’s my favorite! An Occurrence At Owl Creek Bridge.

Ellen L Brownell

My first choice would be "Desperado" by the Eagles, then "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" - Bob Dylan, "You'll Accomp'ny Me" - Bob Seager, "Like a Rock" - Bob Seager, or "Wicked Games" - Chris Issac. I know it's a little late for Halloween but how about "Werewolves of London" by Warren Zevon. As a side note, Miracle Whip makes me gag. Just sayin'.

Beth Comer

Wayfaring Stranger!!! Yes yes yes yes yes!!!!

Beth Comer

Ooooh, Mad World would be incredible.

Åse M Bruun Lagnestål

I’m waiting/hoping for “I’m Your Man” by Leonard Cohen. (That’s NOT the same song as “Your Man”) In the video I would love to see a cameo by Kathy. 💕 https://youtu.be/yOnXe8ttmjY “Wicked Game” by Chris Isaak is also on my wishing list. I think you would make feelings explode with that. (In a good way.) Maybe a classic like “Fever”? Or “Black Magic Woman “ by Santana or “Witchy Woman” by the Eagles? “King of the Road” would match the style of some of your most watched. “Summertime” by Gershwin would be perfect for summer. Or the obvious bass song “Ol’ Man River”.

Amanda Hovendon

I would love for him to do Lather and Nothing Else. I know it’s not Christmasy though

Maggie Nystrom

I agree about Thurl Ravenscroft. Thank you for introducing him to me.

Jay Fritz

First of all--Miracle Whip is the Ed Boyer of sandwich spreads. You've already got a ton of suggestions, but You Gave Me a Mountain, might be good. Eddie Arnold and Marty Robbins, and a bunch of people have done it. Except for your obviously poor taste in salad dressings, I love everything you do.

Amanda Hovendon

I would DEFINITELY LISTEN TO GEOFF’S VERSION OF ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS! 😃

Girl On Fire

I second Long Black Train by Josh Turner

Kenneth Finnegan

Raw Hide. That’s in your wheelhouse and it’s an old song you can make new again

Anne

I agree with you on Miracle Whip. That stuff is noxious. And probably toxic. This one feels silly for me to add as a request, but it's nostalgia. I grew up listening to The Carpenters. I know most of what they did was sung by Karen, whose voice was spectacularly golden and exactly perfect for her songs, but there's a little voice in me that says I'd love to hear you do one of their songs.

Cameron Lobel

Demons by imagine dragons. My mom wants me to request broken vows by Josh groban….

Laura Müller

I'd love to hear a full version of You'll be in my heart.

Cynthia Ross

I’d love to hear you cover a Monkees’ song. I’m thinking “You Just May Be The One”, or “Papa Gene’s Blues”. As a Monkees fan, it sucks to say this, but we’ve lost three out of four. It would probably be a strategically sound move to have something lined up in the horrid event that we lose Micky. Or even if he quits touring. He’s pushing 80 and still on the road - heck, I’m seeing two shows of his this weekend in PA. But you know people will be looking for their stuff when any bad news hits. Also - I would have an excuse to share your stuff in all the Monkees’ fan groups I’m in. It’d be a good crowd for you and Voiceplay I think. (I’ve already found three other hard core Monkee fans within your patreons.) They like diverse music served up with a side of humor...seems like a good fit. I just need a way to work you into the conversation to introduce you. PS: I like you so I’ll let your comments on the glory that is Miracle Whip slide…this time. 😝

Cayden

Sound of silence

Joanna

You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) by Dead or Alive why because the 80’s ruled and I’m old.

Shirley B Karr

I just watched the official video. Geoff and Kathy could have so much fun with this!

kris ivy

Billie Holiday’s Summertime. Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World.

Gretchen G

Yes! Bad Things would be amazing!

Ilona Dever

Oh, Lord, It's Hard To Be Humble, C'est Moi, Always On My Mind, and for Christmas, Dona Nobis Pacem.

Laura Müller

I'd love to hear Scarborough Fair, I think it is absolutely beautiful.

Debbie Casler

I’m onboard for that! Would be cool to hear and see.

Amanda W

I concur. Miracle Whip is so wrong! Now Cool Whip... that I can get behind. 😃 A cooking stream?! Singing while cooking?

Suzy Bailey

I have to ask, what the hell is Miracle Whip?

Laxuji

The book of love by Peter Gabriel

Hunter

Well, if we're looking for 'look how fast i can make you cry', "You'll Be In My Heart' from 'Tarzan' always gets the cathartic tears a flowin...

Karen Regal

Grapefruit Moon by Tom Waits, The Boxer by Simon & Garfunkel, or something James Taylor?

Suzy Bailey

Probably not a popular Christmas suggestion, but one of my favourites, In the Bleak Mid Winter? Apart from that, I second many of the suggestions already made. Whatever you choose, you'll make it sound wonderful! 🙂💜

Lori Templeman

Yes, I was gonna say Werewolves of London! "His hair was perfect!" A more serious Zevon song would be Keep Me in Your Heart. I also like your Desperado suggestion!

Lori Templeman

As I recall, Black Magic Woman was by Santana, and Witchy Woman was by the Eagles.

Snyckerdoodle

Kenny Roger's Greybeard. It is a little known song that introduced me to story songs (Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, Devil Went Down to Georgia, etc...)

Mike Pearce

It's a mayonnaise substitute.

Lourdes Sanz

I would love to hear you sing The man of la Mancha

Jacan

"You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" Lou Rawls

John Sarro

Some ideas I’ve thought could sound good with your voice are Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Walk the Line, or Hit the Road Jack

Eileen Parkman

Miracle Whip is troll snot, to be sure! As for what next, you know I'd love for you to tackle some Jim Steinman and more show music.

Sue Armstrong

Okay, nobody look in MY fridge. :) As for suggestions, here's my two cents. "This Ole House", covered by several people, from Rosemary Clooney to Brian Setzer, how's that for variety? "Somebody's Crying" or "Shadows in a Mirror" from Chris Isaak. And from out of left field, "Battleships" from Travis, although that might work better for VoicePlay, now that I think about it. From out of left field in the next town over, maybe "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald". And now I'm realizing my taste in music is varied and kinda morbid. I swear I listen to happy music, too! I think I'd better go listen to "Bare Necessities" for a while!

Maggie S

Eddie Rabbit: either "Kentucky Rain" (I know he wrote this for Elivs, who sang it first, but I always liked the arrangement Eddie Rabbit sang) or "I love a Rainy Night" I would love to hear your take on Leonard Cohen's "Dance Me to the End of Love"

Shirley B Karr

I was the stage manager for a community production of Man of La Mancha and now I have this song stuck in my head. I am I, Don Quixote, my destiny calls and I ride... LOL!

Shirley B Karr

Before you choose a specific song, may I suggest including these criteria: 1. Mood. The fourth quarter can be incredibly stressful, and a lot of people battle depression around the holidays. It doesn’t have to be campy (though Monster Mash is still one of my all-time favorite videos). I’d choose a song that's cheery or uplifting, and save the three-hanky tunes for another time of year. Ain’t No Sunshine demonstrated a fabulous leap forward in presentation and awesome vocals, but that character is heartbreakingly bereft. Big Bad John died a heroic death but he’s still, you know, dead. 2. Popularity. The two videos that hit 10M in views are both really well-known songs. People who didn’t know of you were looking for them, found your version, and lingered to watch. It’s almost criminal that Way Down still has less than a half million views. C’mon, it’s JD Sumner AND the King! And it’s awesome! But it’s one of Elvis's least known songs. How many people are searching for it? Patrons who engage with you here would happily listen to you read the phone book, but to cast the widest net to reach viewers who don’t know they’re your fans yet, I’d suggest not going with an obscure song. (Unless you’re doing it as a treat intended mainly for your Patrons. We totally appreciate those.) That said… you and Kathy could have so much fun with Shut Up and Dance with Me. Likewise for Why Don’t We Just Dance. I can envision a hysterically funny take on Stuck in the Middle with You. (“Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right…”) I would totally love a collaboration with you and Tim, complete with the kind of snark that’s in the Just Sing captions. We know you know how to do it even if you guys are 1,000 miles apart. Second choice in the collab department would be any combination of Peter, Bobby, and Marwan from The Bass Gang. (Tomi P. is probably a nice guy but there’s something about his timbre I dislike.) Pretty much anything from the Johnny Cash oeuvre would be great. And even though it might not fit with #2 above, I would love, love, love to hear you do Little Red Riding Hood by Sam the Sham. Tim does a version of it live but yours would be waaaaay better. My mom used Miracle Whip. Now that I'm an adult ... mayo all the way. I even make my own with olive oil.

Amanda Hovendon

When I first became Geoff’s patron, which was I think a year ago now, one of my first song requests was Desperado. I remember messaging him that and he said that he would put that one in as a possibility😁👍

Amanda Hovendon

I would love it if he did Stars or Bring Him Home from Les Miserables. Or maybe even Empty Chairs At Empty Tables even though that might be heart wrenching lol

Emily Houk

Miracle Whip is ambrosia to me :) You could sing anything by J.D. Sumner to make me happy bc you would give his songs the treatment they deserve!

Mario Diaz

Something by bo burnham

Zach Stegenga

All of these are usually associated with other voice ranges, but I bet you’d rock bassifying them. Landslide - Fleetwood Mac At Last - Etta James Music of the Night - Phantom

SunnyOutlook

Did You Hear the Rain by George Ezra, or Wicked Game by Chris Isaak.

Rosie Boughen

Anything by the Everly Brothers would be nice 🥹

AsheryW

I don’t know if this would be better as a GC or VP song but I really like Tracy Chapman’s ‘fast car’ (have you heard Boyce Avenue’s cover? Really nice harmonies which got me thinking of you guys)

Egg!

I have a soft spot for broadway/stage performance, but anything Phantom still tops my list. Also proposing in about a week is putting me in a love song kind of mood, but all of your music is wonderful! (miracle whip is nasty~)

Laura Müller

Miracle Whip is just nasty. And likely toxic. As for a request, I'd love to see /hear anything by Frank Sinatra, especially Strangers in the night or Love and marriage. Also I think it would be a interesting challenge to do anything operatic as well as maybe a full version of Grace Kelly. Otherwise I would love to hear Scarborough Fair or a full version of You'll be in my heart. This always makes me tear up...

Sophie Plourde

Slow Dancing in a Burning Room!! I would love to see what direction you'd take that in😄

Colleen levey

I would love you to do Coward Of the County. It is one of my fav's by Kenny Rogers. Love everything you do and I so agree with you about Miracle Whip - yuck.

Rachel Blackthorne

I would love to see you do a passion project...a song that is what YOU want or a reading that means a lot or...something for you.

Connor

Gilbert O Sullivan - Alone Again Naturally

Florian Frey

I would love to hear a cover of „Hellfire“ from you

Cynthia Ross

You know what I don’t believe has ever been done? A bass & contralto version of the main song. The phantom has always been a tenor and Christine has always been a soprano. (As far as I know) Geoff, know any good contraltos? Because that would be amazing.

Jill Weimer Koeninger 🐱

Kenny Roger's song, Planet Texas!! I'd LOVE to see what you'd do with that one...🤠

Cynthia Ross

Annnnd….there’s one of ‘em. lol. Are you going to catch Mick this time Debs?I have a ticket to the meet & greet on Friday….I know I’m gonna be a MESS.

Cynthia Ross

Oooh…”Smooth” by Santana. I could hear you doing that. I can also hear two other gentlemen doing that too though…so maybe that’s better for VP. How about Louis Armstrong “What a Winderfu” World”?

Coda

Still hoping for a cover "My songs know what you did in the dark" or "Phoenix" from FOB. We always need more of your rock side.

Yasmin Goosey

Wow so many great songs being suggested! I would love to hear your take of Hosier - Arsonist’s Lullaby or Better Love. Or Mumford and Sons Tompkins Square Park. But I love other people’s suggestion of You’ll be in my heart as well! Looking forward to whatever you decide to do next! 😊

Suzy Bailey

Thanks, and no thanks! The mere fact you used the word 'substitute' makes me go 🤢!

Jacky Friedman

Great idea. Something from your heart Geoff

Jacky Friedman

Another good one to reuse your cowboys... The Gambler by Kenny Rogers

Jacky Friedman

For Christmas... Drummer Boy Even a children's Christmas songs medley.

Elizabeth Chard

Something by Elton John would be super cool! Or the Streets of London by Ralph McTell. Hit the Road Jack would also be quite cool.

Christina Buchanan

Black magic woman by Santana Summer breeze by Type O and someone else

Dylan Reubenking

Shadow of the Day by Linkin Park, or Turn the Page by Bob Seger

Dylan Reubenking

Saw some people say Frank Sinatra and I'd kill to see how you would approach My Way

Mickey H

Unforgiven II by Metallica or any rock ballad for that matter

Tim Mummert

Bad Bad Leroy Brown from Jim Croce and then later also sung by Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin

Sophie Heidi

I'm a little late but I would love to hear: - The Skye Boat Song (from Outlander) - you'd look so awesome with a kilt 😉 - Wicked Game (Chris Isaak) - Take me to church (Hozier) - Rock me Amadeus (Falco) For Christmas I would love to hear your take on "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel"

Simone

So....there is this musical called Hadestwon and Hades is a role for a bass I think? I would really love to hear you sing one of the songs Hades sings

Debs Badger

No, I'm not. I saw Micky and Mike in October last year, and decided that was the last one for me. It's just gotten harder and harder as we lose them. I think seeing Micky alone would break me. I got to meet Micky at a New Year's Eve party 2019 into 2020. He's sweet, so ENJOY the meet and greet.

Shirley B Karr

Ooh! If he can pull off wearing pink shorts, he could definitely do a kilt.

Sophie Heidi

Yes 😁 that's what I thought

Terry Ford

Since sea shanties are making a resurgence, I suggest one that Thurl Ravenscroft did that was amazing! Life on the Ocean Waves.

Lexy Wolfe (aka Pam)

I'm not picky. Whatever makes you feel energized makes for great listening because your heart's into it.

Silje Hoel Sakshaug

I am somewhat late, but a cover of Your man by Josh Turner or else a bass singer cover of In the stars by Benson Boone. The latter could also be amazing if VoicePlay as a whole did an A Cappella version of it. Just a suggestion and hope you see it.

Kaligancosplay

Maybe Unshaken by D'Angelo from Red Dead redemption 2 or Hanging tree, im not fan of hunger game but im really curious to what you can do on this music

Helen I Kirk

You've Lost That Lovin Feeling by the Righteous Brothers

Ellen Reiser

Vincent by Don McLean, The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald by Gordon Lightfoot, The Unforgiven by Metallica, Never been to Spain by 3 Dog Night, and just for kicks a “how to bake bread” video

Ann Durham

Or the Impossible Dream - with those harmonies!

Helen I Kirk

You Don't Mess Around with Jim by Jim Croce

D. Maenad Schluter

That one I think would be better for VP than a a solo, but yes.

Lisa Lyons

How about Desperado (either the version by the Eagles or by Kenny Rogers), I wouldn't mind hearing you sing "A tale that wasn't right" by Helloween...

Debbie Buck

Shirley, I too love that song! Geoff would be great with that! (Of course, he's pretty great with everything he does!!)

Sarah Reach

🎵Why do birds, Suddenly appear - Every time you are near? Just like me, They long to be - Close to you🎵 (I feel like this explains a lot of your bird related BTS shenanigans 🤣)

Cherice Evans

The Highwayman by Lorena mcKennit

Michelle G

Some I’d love to hear from you are; Paint It Black, You Belong To Me – Bryan Adams, The Power of Love, Boulevard of Broken Dreams – Green Day, Edge of Night (Pippin’s song from LOTR: ROTK). If you do narrations again The Lady of Shalott is one of my favourites. I’ll also add my vote for: Sound of Silence, Ring of Fire, Wicked Game and Music of the Night (Phantom of the Opera).

Find

Ring of fire.

Sarah Reach

Agreed. Aside from the music itself, one of my favorite things is seeing and hearing you excited about your project. With all of these requests, don't forget to do one for yourself every now and again. If you love it, we will love it!

Leslie Langfitt

"Little Wonders" by Rob Thomas from Meet the Robinsons

Veronica Thunander

Bad Things by Jace Everett. Mrs McGrath or Erie Canal by Pete Seeger (There are many versions, for example by Bruce Springsteen)

Biene

A real challenge: Phantom of the opera. A real recommendation: Sound of Silence. A real pleasure: An operatic colab with Peter Barber.

Paulene Thorne

Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show, or ANY Neil Diamond song. The Devil Went Down to Georgia The Skye Boat Song (original lyrics) About a million others I'd love to hear your interpretation of.

Scot Ethington

El Paso by Marty robbins Confrontation javert and valjean les mis

Lutra2732

Sound of Silence Total Eclipse of the Heart Creep (Radiohead) Original Sin (Meat Loaf) Sleeping Sun (Nightwish)

Sarah Reach

Robin P, that would be the dream, to get A Christmas Carol in his voice. However, I doubt it would be something he would ever take on. Even broken up into chunks, it is something like a 4 hour runtime. Considering what he has already said about narrations not being the best time investment, this feels like a non-starter. (I would be thrilled if he proved me wrong of course!)

bill watts

“Take on me “ by ah ha. There is some crazy low to high in that would love to hear your take on that

Rachael Heidi

So many people have listed great songs! I want to also say I'd love versions of: Creep, Wicked Game or Your Song <3. On another note: is anyone here able to use the messages feature? I can't open messages due to a javascript error or something.

Laura Müller

I absolutely love the idea of an operatic colab!!

Tiffpocalypse

Given the spooky season, my brain went to some old "story" songs, like "Campbird Mine" by C.W. McCall or "Swamp Witch" by Jim Stafford. Or even "Don't Fear the Reaper" or "Don't Pay the Ferryman".

Novi Hallberg

Here is my list of suggestions, hope you will find something appealing 🧡 🍂 Summertime - Ella Fitzgerald 🍂 Fly me to the moon - Frank Sinatra 🍂 Puttin' on the Ritz - Irvin Berlin 🍂 Get happy - Judy Garland (House M.D) 🍂 Everybody wants to be a cat - Gypsy jazz, (Aristocats) 🍂 Cotton fields - Creedence Clearwater Revival 🍂 Proud Mary - Creedence Clearwater Revival

Christina Dowdican

Anything by Ronnie Milsap or Randy Travis, Johnny Cash, or go waaaayyyy back to the platters even more Elvis Pressly Neil Diamond as well

Novi Hallberg

I would Looove a new narration. I would suggests "The little match girl" by H.C.Andersen for christmas its a short story with lots to contemplate. 🎄

Rhonda & Anna

Maybe for you or Voiceplay, but I'd love to hear some Green Day or even Matchbox Twenty - some good 90's throwbacks (or "oldies" as my daughter calls them ☹️)

Novi Hallberg

I Second the skye boat song - outlander

Novi Hallberg

🍂 It would be exciting to hear some bass collaborations 🍂 I would love more narrations, suggestion "the little match girl" by hc Andersen, its a shorter one. ❤️ For christmas i wish for mp3's on patreon of the following ones if its something you would want to do 😊 The Bare Necessities The Tell-Tale heart An occurence at owl creek bridge

Teresa Carr

YES! SWAMP WITCH! or even, NONE OF US IS HERE by Jim Stafford!!

Teresa Carr

Lost in the Fifties Tonight by Ronnie Milsap would be amazing!!

Teresa Carr

Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers? Swamp Witch or None of Us Is Here by Jim Stafford? Lost In The Fifties Tonight by Ronnie Milsap? Or how about Don't Close Your Eyes by Keith Whitley?

Will Bracknell

Well, I'd still like to hear your take on "Papa Was a Rolling Stone"

Keith Mack

OK...goin' old school...Elvis song from early 60s "Suspicion". (NOT "Suspicious Mind")

Anne

On a lighter note, Gilbert & Sullivan! Maybe something from The Mikado or Pirates of Penzance? Those would be fun.

Lutra2732

One more: mmmm mmmm mmmm (crash test dummies)

thomas maigler

i think, it would be interesting to hear from you (or Voiceplay) a cover of: "Mad World" (by Fears of Tears)

Tine

I joined this party very late.. I see you have over 270 responses already, I uhh.. I would love for you to do something that you enjoy doing, let me just keep it at that, as that gives a wonderful result :) So there you have my... kind yet extremely useless response ;) Thank you for all you do

Gretchen G

Devil went Down to Georgia would be awesome

Gretchen G

I second Bad Things by Jace Everett!

Tracie Schlaak

Anything by Kenny Rogers. Lady would be a great ballad for your dulcet tones. ❤️

Beatriz Baldit

A Kind of Magic (Queen) The Sound of Silence Suspicious Minds (Elvis Presley) You Can't Hurry Love (The Supremes/ Phil Collins)

Randiskye

At this rate, we're going to have to organize ourselves into an upvote/downvote poll!!

Mimi Nator

Steamroller Blues by James Taylor Mustang Sally by Wilson Pickett and because you seem to like story telling songs, here are a few that I think you would have fun with.... Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald  by Girdon Lightfoot The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance by Gene Pitney East Bound and Down by Gerry Reed Brandy (you're a fine girl) by Looking Glass The Gambler by Kenny Rogers House of Bamboo by Earl Grant My husband and I love your videos so much. Can't wait for your next one!!Thanks for asking.😁

Angie Woollard

VoicePlay has done Unchained Melody with John Pinto - check it out on VP’s YouTube channel!

Dani

Miracle Whip? That is just a Halloween horror story. That's not a real thing. Miracle Whip the 7 layered hellsandwich and the Carrot of doom. But some people loooove horror stories. Anyways, I second the "do a personal project for the end of the year" comment. Something that sparks joy for you or Kathy. And as much as I love Darryl and the Three G's because they are amazing I really really really miss Solo Geoff sometimes. As for the music. Yes to Wicked Game and Bad Things and Highway men and You'll be in my heart or The devil went down to Georgia. I just listened to The River by Bruce Springsteen and I love it, but that is not a happy tune . Depeche Mode - Enjoy the silence. Peter Gabriel - Solsbury Hill Men at work - Down under... with Voiceplay...just for the Video 😂 and also  Ironic by Alanis Morissette for the Geoffs.... Annie Lenox - Sweet dreams Tracy Chapman - Fast car And of course anything rock...Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Under the bridge, Soundgarden, Arctic Monkeys but I guess you have enough suggestions. Except...Paul Simon - You can call me Geoff/Goff/Jeff/Jeoph.... I am so sorry, don't get up..I'll show myself out.

Dylan

I second the Crash Test Dummies song. Yeah. I know.

Liz Munro

Yes to Nightwish

SunnyOutlook

I think another great Peter Gabriel song would be In Your Eyes. Imagine what Geoff’s warm and smooth baritone bass could do with that.

Gamesz

Something like bare necessities please- a Song that you can Sing with a smile

Anouk Brable

In one of your „how to be a low bass singer“ videos you say that you always wanted to be a high tenor. Maybe you should cover a song from Chris Cornell ☺️ Or some other higher notes/rock songs you are comfortable with

Dani

Yes! That is a very good suggestion. Talking about smoothness, Sade or Seal would also be pretty cool. Let's be honest, he could sing I want a hyposomething for christmas and I would love it.

Dani

I mean...a song with a lot of humming.... YES! But I can imagine him rolling his eyes to that 😂well, he asked for suggestions

Louise Bathurst

Some of us would love to hear you sing "Oh Death"

Lutra2732

That‘s what I also thought 😂. But Geoff is so talented. He would turn this into a more complex and definitely fantastic song!

Dani

His voice for this would be so good but a video to the lyrics, I don't know. Not so easy. But I liked your comment just in case 😉

Tigsa

Puttin' on the Ritz would be awesome

Liz Munro

I’d also love to hear some 50’s/60’s(unsure which it is)classics like Rocking Robin, Yakety Yak(The Coasters), maybe some Chuck Berry either solo or with VP please or was wondering if you could please do my FAVOURITE country song Kenny Rogers The Coward Of The County please?

TheNightShiftDragon

I'm still hoping for "I'm alright" by Kenny Loggins. That song always make me happy and I would love to see your spin on it! :-D (And a video where everything goes wrong and you insist "I'm alright! Nobody worry 'bout me" ;-) There is a lot of potential for weird accident and humor in this one)

Karyn Morrison

I would like some songs from the 80s. Though this suggestion might just reveal my age bracket 🙄

Xinth

OMG I would so love to hear Geoff sing Phantom of the Opera!

Debs Badger

Wow. We are a yappy bunch.

Dani

Oh! And a studio version of Grace Kelly thank u very much! With Daryl and the Subsirenhair...er fairies of course

Dani

Do you think he will ever go through all these comments or just look at the number and go: nah! not today! 😂

Jamie L

What about "I See Fire" from the Hobbit?

Glynda

Anything from Type O Negative

Amanda Hovendon

I feel like he should team up with Tim Foust for the Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth

Jahnie Khoury

I agree with Chris Cornell. "I Am the Highway" or maybe "Black Hole Sun?" Sound of Silence would be great too. I'm sure whatever you land on is going to be amazing.

Sandra JB

I've thought hard on this one since it's my first chance for input. Since Christmas is coming, Will you work your magic on The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)? I can hear in my mind what an arrangement by you of this song would be like, as well as the harmonies you could write for the other Geoffs...and maybe even Daryl if he behaves himself and doesn't look too sexy. Maybe at the very end...the last line, "Merry Christmas to You", Kathy and William could make an appearance. Just a thought....

Sandra JB

I like Peter Barber very much and would like to hear a collab with him too.....but Christmas is first and that should be all Geoff.

Dani

Freedom - Django Unchained Do I wanna know - Arctic Monkeys And that is it, I'm gonna throw may phone away now. Thanks everyone for the music that I had to check out. This is an entire Musicencyclopedia.

Biene

Sleeping Sun, yes!!!

Gary Wagner

There is a southern gospel song with a great bass part. "Trying to get a glimpse" by the Cathedral quartet.

Sarah Reach

We will ask him this month and he will reply, "What Patreon post?" 🤣

Elise Bond

I Love a Rainy Night - Eddie Rabbitt

doug muchow

How about. “Stand by me” by Ben E. King, “sweet Caroline, by Neil Diamond. However, I think it should be a song that YOU really like as you would out a lot more emotion into it!

Keith Hartley

I think a cover of Bottom of the River would be really different, but extremely awesome

Jason

The lady and I would love a Grim Grinning Ghosts as a Halloween special. Although yes, Voiceplay has done it, a Geoff and his trustee trio cover could boost the spook factor!

Dani

😂😂😂 right, wasn't it the same with the Voiceplay chat and this kind of a post? Hey totally forgot and I was like: Oi ....there is no boring but the old is showing. To be fair, he has a lot on his plate. 😆

Cynthia Ross

I love that song and second this request. 👍

Cynthia Ross

Yes yes yes! It’d have to be a real standard to pick up views. Something along the lines of Sweet Home Chicago. Oooh…….how bout “My Babe” by Little Walter? I can so hear Geoff doing that.

Cynthia Ross

I’ll second this one. 👍

Tim Fuchs

A full version of "Be Prepared" would be great. That teaser from the VoicePlay video was way too short :)

Arthur Adams

North to Alaska by Johnny Horton or Bowie Knife by Frankie Laine.

Arielle Siple

Hellfire from the Hunchback of Notre Dame would be awesome!!!

Liz Munro

It’s an old one but Perry Como Tie A Yellow Ribbon(Round The Old Oak Tree)please

book

I'm so the wrong person to ask because all I listen to these days is you and Voiceplay. I'll just look forward to whatever you come up with next, because it's gonna be awesome!

book

Oh, I love that song! It would be utterly *fascinating* to hear Geoff's take on it, now that you mention it. Wow.

Shirley B Karr

LOL! He didn't know or had forgotten that someone from VP had posed the same question this spring. Over 400 replies last time I saw it.

Georgia Oliver

I would love to hear you do a full acapella cover of hoist the colours and over load it with bass notes (I love the one with voiceplay but i need a full bass cover)

Dani

I don't even know if he made the post in the first place and...I myself don't know what I had for lunch on Monday so...who am I to judge🙈

Aaron Sanchez

I know it's nothing like your other work, but Xanadu by Ummet Ozcan would be amazing. I know you could find a way to make it your own!

Xinth

My choice would probably be Unchained Melody (Elvis). My husband said Your Man (Josh Turner). Then we both thought: Daughter od the Sea (the World od Warcraft song, but the metal cover by Skar is our favourite).

Brittny

Any Johnny Cash song, but Ring of Fire in particular. Also Take on Me, but bassified would sound great

Melissa Rumack

I saw that someone else mentioned Tracy Chapman's Fast Car... and I'm thinking that could actually be nicely re-arranged for a male voice. One of my favorite tv actors who also is a musician (Christian Kane) did this song on his one publically released album, now I will grant you he focuses more on Country music, but your take on this song might be interesting. Honestly though? You should do something that makes you happy.

Amanda Hovendon

Evermore from Beauty and the Beast live action

Amanda Hovendon

Can You Feel The Love Tonight by Elton John

Amanda Hovendon

Pippin’s Song from the Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

Amanda Hovendon

I don’t know why, but how about Man of Constant Sorrow from O Brother Where Art Thou? Or something from that Soundtrack. I know Home Free already did their version of that song. I’m interested in what you could do with it, Geoff.

Paulene Thorne

Same here. My playlist is 100% Geoff and Voiceplay. Everything else just seems to pale in comparison.

Ceilidh Elizabeth

Back to Tennessee Ernie Ford with, "Black Is the Color of My True Love's Hair".

Caroline Larochelle

This song only needs a 3-octave vocal range... Easy peasy for you! Impossible to sing for us, folks. You're the Only Very Best! :)

María Gabriela

Okay, I came here with another alternative: St. James Infirmary Blues? You'd absolutely nail that one.

Nana Koranteng

I've been thinking about this and maybe I'd like to see more collaborations in future (or cool fun cameo's) I know you did one with the american sirens a while back (would love to see them again btw) and like Layne and Kathy (they made fun cameo's in your video's) so yeah maybe stuff like that would be fun

Mona Iren Hugaas

Hi! Growing up, I have always loved 50's, 60's type of music and that have not gone away. So, my suggestion for either yourself or for Voiceplay as a group; Jimmie Rodgers's 'Kisses sweeter than wine.' I love the tune and the modulation at each verse and it's just fun to sing. Hope you and your family are well. Mona.

Geoff Castellucci Stan

I would love to hear voiceplay do the Chucky theme song (child’s play theme).

Dee Herrera

How about some old-timey songs? Examples: At Last, Cry Me A River, Mood Indigo, and ANYTHING James Taylor. Best to your family, I hope you’re having a wonderful fall. ~ Dee

Kamree Telford

Evermore from the live action Beauty and the Beast!

Patrick Wickert

It's great to see you rearranging and revisiting songs that haven't been covered in a while. A cover of Zager and Evans' "In the Year 2525" would be absolutely stunning. The song is exceptional in content and sound and below the current radar of perception, so it's high time for a comeback. For every year you could make a new character version of the Geofftett. Another highlight would be "Summer Wine" by Sinatra/Hazlewood or Ville Vallo/Natalia Avelon. It has that late summer, dreamy aura, that vibe that you just feel on hot and sunny days. If that should become reality, I can die happy.

Dani

I thought about requesting something from Him because Ville Vallos voice - that would just totally match but they are kind of dark and not super well known. But I absolutely forgot about the Summer Wine Cover. It's such a beautiful song. A "duett" for Daryl and the Geoffettes.

MBehave

Hi, Geoff! Greetings from Central PA, I hope Hurr. Ian was kind to your neighborhood! I've wondered how you'd feel about doing your rendition of "The Hanging Tree"?' Blessings to you & yours, MBehave (Mary Beth)

MBehave

Hi, again! I was listening to the 1990 video by Spike Lee "Do It Acapella". How about "Zombie Jamborie" or "The Lion Sleeps Tonight"? Cool Favorites!!

Donna Kruse

I have two suggestions. One is Unchained Melody by the Everly Brothers. I would swoon if I heard that in your voice. The other is Take on Me by A-ha. I know it's a different genre, but it makes use of your vocal range. It would be interesting to see what you could do with it.

Cassandra Collins

I think I've suggested it before, but Hey Mr. Bassman seems appropriate.

Jacky Friedman

Something from Herman's Hermits. Duran Duran. Something 60s, 70s, 80s or 90s. Oldies

aethervox

Also The Devil Comes back to Georgia!

aethervox

Other suggestions would be anything by Jim Croce, or perhaps one of the story songs by Johnny Horton - i.e. Battle of New Orleans.

Donna Kruse

Hi, Geoff! Have you done Amazing Grace yet?

Amanda Hovendon

How about Blue Christmas by Elvis Presley? And p.s Did you watch the new Elvis movie yet?

Susan Zoe Bella

Sooo...I was thinking, how about KING OF THE ROAD by Roger Miller? Would slide right in with Sixteen Tons and Big Bad John. VIEWS VIEWS VIEWS LOL. When I was a little girl, my Uncle Dave who I only saw once in a while as he lived out of state, he'd sit me on his knee and sing that song to me. He fancied himself quite a good singer. Many decades later while my brother was still alive, Uncle Dave came for a visit. We had our very last family gathering that year. I dressed up like a man and surprised everyone with a little "skit". I sang King Of The Road to Uncle Dave and his wonderful sweet wife Corrine. (I adore her) My brother got such a kick out of it, he filmed the gathering with his camcorder, nobody prob knows what those were LOL. Anyway, it was a huge hit and such a warm memory over Mother's Day weekend 2005. I had practiced and practiced to get the lyrics just right and my moves. I used props and all. Later that year my brother died. When we cleaned out his apartment I couldn't find the tape. I was sad. It was the last family memory I have of everyone together, the last time me, my sister and brother would be with Mom and her brother. King Of The Road is such a fun song. I bet you and the other Geoffs would do an amazing job and it would be a very rich experience for me. Hopefully, you will consider it :)

Ashley Evers

If you ever decide to to more readings, I would love a George MacDonald fairy tale, like the Light Princess. Your voice is sooooo perfect for falling asleep to, but the readings you've done tend to be very short and creepy :) Have you ever looked into reading for Audible?

Susan Zoe Bella

Orrrr....Sound of Silence LOL Totally thrilled you're doing this! I've been requesting it since we found you a few months ago. My PL will sooo appreciate this as will my noisy ears. Thank you!

Anne Williamson

Hey, my daughter (who introduced me to Geoff's wonderful music) suggested Sting's "Moon Over Bourbon Street." I think it would be great hearing this from Geoff.

Marcus Ambrester

I was driving home from morning Dad Taxi a couple of days ago and thought the same thing!

Knut Erik Vassvik

I have a suggestion for you. You should cover "toss a coin to your witcher" from the witcher. I think it would be awesome.

Cayden

Sound of silence but slow like the disturbed cover!!!

Larry Haynes

I think a cover of Dream On by The Oak Ridge Boys and The Righteous Brothers. Both versions featured their bass singers.

Jamie L

A full length version of Trust in Me from the Jungle Book would be really fun.

Kyle Matias

I would love to hear you sing Good King Wenceslas. It's my favorite song to listen to at Christmas time

Susan Edwards

The Wonder of You, Elvis and The Villagers did great things but you would undoubtedly do something fabulous, especially as you could dedicate it to not just Kathy but your devoted patrons?
