James, Karl, Leah and Tony go on an intrepid adventure through the Angolan jungle and Canadian Rockies hot on the trail of everyone’s favourite Canadian can opener. It’s not often that a movie tie-in outshines its movie, but back in 2009 Raven Software seemed to achieve that with X-Men Origins: Wolverine. We know Logan ages gracefully, but will his game fare so well?Music featured in this issue:1. New Orleans Combat 2 by Paul Haslinger2. Credits Screen by Paul HaslingerEdited by Jay Taylor

I habe not listened to the show yet but this is a strange choice for a discussion. A game I would never have thought would be considered. But I love odd choices and am looking forward to hear what you think.

I'm surprised how negative the panel was about this game. It's the most 7/10 game I've ever played, but when film tie-ins often clock in around 2/10 that's not bad.

I guess with many of us getting old(er) many are more precious with their limited time on this planet. If one enjoys a mediocre game depends on many factors I suppose. A solid 7/10 game can be a lot of fun for some but the audience who will put the time into it will be surely be more limited in the context of the countless games we can play today. I would encourage Cane and Rinse to keep on talking about mediocre games in the future as it can be very interesting. My recommendation for a mediocre yet highly entertaining game from the PS3 era would be Dead to Rights Retribution. A super fun third person shooter with over the top violence and “edgy” characters typical for the time and a cute dog as companion you can actual control and play. For me it is the best Die Hard game without the license.

“This is to God of War what QWOP is to International Track & Field” − Quote of the Episode goes to this gem (I believe it was Karl).

I had never even heard of this game, let alone seen it ; I don’t how my brain got confused but I spent half the episode picturing this PS3/360 game with PS2-era graphics… Anyhow, enjoyed the show, including the more general discussion about movie tie-ins/adaptations.
