Another long standing 'wrong' righted, as the Cane and Rinse podcast finally covers a SEGA made Fighting game. Leon, Michiel, returning guest Dan Clark and Karl - whose pick for the show this was - team up to recall the fever dream match that was Fighters Megamix. Along with community contributions, we get into just what makes a SEGA fighter, and just what is meant by the terms often associated with their Virtua Fighter titles, such as 'deep' and 'technical'. Plus of course there's time for the game's wacky array of bonus characters - including the inflatable bears, the tree, the ham and - of course - the punchy car.Music featured in this issue:1. So nice to hear Dan back. Coincidentally I am listening to the Streets of Rage show with him from ten years ago. How young you (and we all) have been back then!

A delightful show and was a joy to hear Dan return for some good old sega fun. Hearing about the old school fighters always fascinates me, but like Leon i've never had that big fighting game arcade experience which makes me kind of sad. I'm curious if anyone in the crew is going to be picking up Street Fighter 6, as that might be something fun to play with the community. Its supposed to have crossplay between all the platforms and you can create your own character too.

I'm quite looking forward to it! We did Street Fighter V lobbies, so I could see that happening, for sure!

I only just got round to this episode, really great. One thing caught my ear especially…Zangief is pronounced Zan-jee-eff and not Zan-geef??? My mind is officially blown.
