Have you heard music from earlier Sims 4 packs in the past few years, or only music from newer packs, assuming you have the newer packs installed?

Title screen loading music, CAS music, and BB music. Do you hear music from older packs?

Think back: When was the last time you heard the Seasons song where the dog barks as part of the music? When was the last time you heard one of the eery, beautiful Vampires music? Was it within the last few years?

i wouldn't say i hear all the older songs *all the time* (because i swear the horse ranch ones are playing every other song) but the vampire one plays for me pretty often. i haven't heard the pupper barks in a minute, but it hasn't been more than a few months since i last noticed it

Rodeo Time Again from Horse Ranch plays for me almost every time im in BB, which is fine, because it's a phenomenal song, but I also get this dumbass lullaby bullshit from Growing Together that sounds like "Isn't She Lovely" and I *hate it* and it plays **EVERY TIME**.

I don't pay that much attention to the background music, unless it's being used for gameplay. (Maybe this is could be added to your poll.) However, I do use custom music as well.

I rarely play with sound on lately as I need a new usb extender to have enough plugs to have my headset in 😂 but I do tend to have the same song whenever I’m in cas! (I can’t remember which pack it’s from)

I play with ingame music off. BB&CAS put me to sleep just by existing, the music will make it so I don't wake up for hours! I use Gnasher's mod for stereos, so I actually do hear what's being played on my sims' stereos...but I've got about 10-20 extra tracks dumped into every single station, and about 40-50 new ones for the Metal station. What I've noticed is that even with playlists with huge diversity, like my metal playlist, only a few tracks get played, and they get played A LOT. Like, at least once or twice a play session, I'll hear Allegaeon's cover of Roundabout out of one of my speakers, not that I'm complaining. I mean, I put that track in there because I like it. Whenever I go to Celebration...something (whatever that kids playground place in San Sequoia is called), those stereos are on Soul and despite having a ton of my own personal picks like Warren G and Marvin Gaye and BB King ... it seems to always open with the Simlish version of I Will Survive. Not that I'm complaining, I left that track in there because I like it. :D While there is randomness involved, it feels like the game has some kind of list weighting, which is to say, if you have 30 tracks, the weighted list could be 50 entries long with the "weighted" tracks appearing 2-3 times in the list so it's more likely to pick them when all entries are even odds. And to match your suspicions, yes, I think it weights for the more newly-added tracks, and I think it either goes by play session or completely randomly so that you won't hear the less-weighted tracks unless you've been playing for several real-life hours unpaused.

95% of the time i am in build mode or cas mode i just hear the latest music although something funny happened yesterday , all of sudden the star wars theme started playing, i haven't heard that since they announced batuu was on it's way

I hear multiple ones but I really couldn't tell you from which packs. I think it's mostly/only the newer ones but I have no way to be sure

IDK what I'm hearing TBH...I just know that the loading screen music makes me want to go to bloody sleep, it reminds me of a nursery

I'll be honest and admit I can't listen to title screen music and say "oh, that's from Seasons/Get To Work, etc." Plus I play with a huge music mod that replaces music for B&B, CAS, Galley, Neighborhood and title screen with music from past Sims games. I will say the Growing Together music pops up in Build mode from time to time and I hate it, lol.
