Sims 2 Legacy Master Recommended Mods List (Patreon)

For those playing Sims 2, a group on MTS has put together a recommended master mod list that, I'm assuming, has all been tested. It includes fixes for a few bugs like alien abductions not working, and is dramatically more thorough than my attempt at such a list, for which I got exactly zero volunteers.

Bitter? No, why? Because I went to a Sims 2 focused server with this and was met with elitist snobbery declaring anyone who wants to play Sims 2 should just pirate it, install 20 years worth of knowledge worth of fixes and mods which takes hours, and simply know how to get it all going and what to watch out for, completely dismissing the idea of trying to m-

Thank you Waffle, I literally adore TS2, but sometimes there can be a lot of "retro sims elitism" out there. Like can't we all just love the Sims!

sorry you got attitude from that server, waffle. i feel like the sims (and a lot of other games, but sims particularly) has a little bit of a problem with members of the community being a bit snobby and elitist 🙄 i appreciate what you were attempting to do! i'd have been down for being a tester but i don't know if i'm gonna even buy ts1/ts2 yet

This is the reason i'm only on r/lowsodiumsimmers because atleast you can talk to other simmers who actually like the games and want to have an actual conversation instead of being mad at you. Thanks for the list, very handy!

I know what you mean about members of the community being elitist and snobby. That attitude extends to CC creation. I asked a question about meshing and textures on a certain forum at the beginning of January and waited for help....and waited, and waited...Here it is the beginning of February and I still haven't gotten any kind of help or advice. So screw that place.

Aside from the mod that allows for Bodyshop sliders - is there a way to add Bodyshop back via Legacy Edition?

Hey Waffles it's TeaAddict, our list is not meant to replace what you were doing at all but rather compliment it. Loads of mods still desperately need to be tested!

Oh please don't misunderstand, I am happy this exists and I don't have to bother. The issue was entirely that when I went out seeking help nobody gave me any and I got shit on for even trying! (not on MTS). I shouldve gone to and checked MTS right away also, but I don't use MTS for some reasons and just didn't even think to.
