I’ve been enjoying Andor, but hopefully the aftershow keeps me awake compared to this last episode! 😴💤

I agree with an earlier caller that Andor captures the feel of old expanded universe novels and I tend to agree, the show isn't blowing my socks off but the artistic integrity and confidence in the direction of the show is very refreshing in contrast to Kenobi and Book of Boba, which I just like less and less with every attempted rewatch. I'm not too concerned with this show greying the lines of the morality of the conflict as I don't think it is essential to the story but like a fun EU novel, is just a nice small addition.

Finally got around to listening today, and after hearing Jimmy’s rant about where the aliens are, the Empire has been shown to be very anti-alien/pro-human. After 15 years of asserting its dominance and truly being “the dark times”, the only place we will see aliens is the outer rim and underworld because that is where they have been pushed by the Empire. You aren’t going to see aliens on Coruscant, or at Imperial bases that Andor and crew are trying to infiltrate. We had some aliens and droids in the first three episodes because we weren’t on an Imperial controlled world. This is one of the major flaws of the Empire, lessening the voice of everybody by focusing on just one. You lose the diversity and imagination, as you become more “singular” in voice and direction. This is the strength the rebellion builds upon as they pull all these marginalized groups together.

Hey Jimmy, I’ve got a lot of feedback on the show so far.. but I gotta say this in regard to your feelings about aliens in the show: the empire, from what I remember and I’m trying to not mix in EU canon so forgive me if I do, does not like aliens in their midsts. It’s always been a pure human regime with aliens only where necessary. So I’m not so shocked to see less aliens, right now. Keywords, right now. As long as their is imperial officers present, we should be prepared to see little to none aliens. Tell me what you think?
