A full version of my Perfect Water Shaders Asset (Description and other instructions are here)

PS: Please, don't share this asset with anyone who is not my Tier II (or higher) patron!

Using underwater fog instructions:

There is an example scene in this Unity package, which contains already working underwater fog setup.

Manual underwater fog setup could be not so intuitive that it could be. Here are some notes:

Underwater surface uses the same geometry as you use for your water surface. Just copy it and apply underwater material to it.

To make your underwater fog work, you should make a mesh, which will represent your max fog bounds and apply an underwater fog material to it.

You also need to make another mesh with a stencil on it. It should be a cuboid, which also will represent your max fog bounds, but a little bit bigger.

A VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Your max fog bounds must be a little less size then your stencil mesh, your water and underwater surface meshes. In my example scene I just scaled the same mesh I used for other materials a little.

Your "stencil mask" parameter must be the same value in your fog and fog stencil materials.

Better not use different fog meshes in one world, it can cause some overlap-glitches.

ANOTHER VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: If you want to make a large ocean, please check your Main Camera render distance (FarClip Plane). It must be large enough to make your ocean mesh be fully rendered. Note that setting super crazy values is not the solution too, because it can bring some render-glitches.

Is there a way to make this URP compatible? This would save me a loooot of headache

RED_SIM

I think, it's possible to make it work with URP. I never tried it with this shader, but it should be relatively easy. If you use Amplify Shader Editor, you can open my shaders with it and change the template to URP.

Heyo, So the water shows up in my world when I have my in-game Camera out, but its invisible when I put it up. Any ideas?

hey uh i downjloaded the full version of water shader but for whatever reason when i put the material on anything its just completetly invisible there is nothing there it makes the makes the mesh fully transparent its like adding fx flare on a mesh
