Hello again my dears~ Just dropping in again with a handful of sketches and a little something extra.

I really do think we have something on our hands here that could be very special. I'm hoping to explore it a bit more.

My mother is doing a little better now with some ups and downs. I finally got my new license plates, and my car is almost fully repaired. It might be another week.

I'm also hoping to bring up a poll later today. I am so, so, so grateful for everyone here supporting me whether you've been with me for a long while or you're a new face! This month I took a major hit on Patreon, and I've fallen to the point of almost being back to where I was before I left my job to take on Patreon full time. I might have to start looking for a job again.

I know we all have our reasons why we have to say goodbye, so I'm hoping to hear from you dears with this poll and better learning how I can do right by you and make your experience a better one. Thank you again for being here, and I hope to hear how I can improve!

Have you considered doing something like commissions streams at some points in the month maybe? People might be more open to supporting like that rather than the monthly subscription that Patreon uses.

I just joined a little while ago after reading and enjoying the "Next night at Nates" and TTITHNO comics elsewhere. I love your style, stories, and characters. A lot of creators are having a hard time at the moment so I've made sure to throw my support behind as many as I can in my latest "Patreon inventory taking" adventure. With cute comics like "You have a kind face" and the Puppet idea coming up I'm planning to stick around a long time to come. :3 I hope things pick back up again. As a supporter my wish is for all your content to eventually reach all fans, whether they can afford to pay or not, so I hope timed exclusives will continue to work out. I noticed you don't have a Patreon link watermark on your publicly shared pages? Maybe something like that could help spread the word?

I second this, I’d love to see you stream your sketch’s

That's an absolutely beautiful idea that I had not considered. I believe I shall see to doing that because I need to be a little more on it when it comes to letting others know I have a patreon! I'm grateful for dears like yourself who help look after artists like us. It means a lot. <:)

I have actually yes! I even got a microphone for streaming with a friend, and I think it would be fun to be able to interact with you guys more! Heck, request streams would also be fun to try too!

My only concern with this is if it takes time away from their main work, which I suppose is the Patreon comics? The most valuable resource is time after all, even if once a month might not be a lot of time. :) Some stuff can serve as promotion for the Patreon etc so it becomes very worthwhile but I have no idea what the balance is there as I'm not an artist myself. :P

In truth I'm usually working from 10 to 5 or more every day. When I'm done, I try to make sketches for a couple hours before bed so I have more to give to you all. Maybe now and again I can use that time for a stream instead!

Another artist I know usually does commission streams every other friday and has 4 slots open. Assuming someone doesn’t spend a lot of money for a big group shot with a ton of characters he is usually able to get everything done in a few hours while talking with the community. Another thing I often see is giving different Patreon tiers a small discount for commissions during streams or exclusive streams but I don’t know exactly how that is all organized. Might be a bit rough starting out but if you do like the idea of streaming just keep trying and work out how you like to approach it.

Nice to see the puppet sona, knew you'd come out eventually. Also I hope things pick back up for ya, money wise. I know it sucks to be on the bad end of a bunch of factors you can't control.

This puppet stuff is kinda giving me flashbacks to Greg the Bunny, especially the idea of intimate relationships between humans and living puppets (not that GtB got a chance to explore the idea beyond a few minor mentions that it was a thing in the setting before getting cancelled, but still). Makes me wonder: aside from the obvious stuff like Sesame Street or the Muppets, were there any particular shows or other puppet-related media that inspired this?

Shane Wexelman

I had no idea this show exist and now I need to understand it more. Thanks for bringing it up! Well...I know it's going to sound silly but I actually have hardly seen anything but minor clips of Sesame street and the muppets. I think I've always been drawn to more traditional drawn cartoon animation so a lot of what I'm thinking on is just coming out of the noggin.
