This episode felt weird to me. I thought something was left out when the Shawn and Alliya segment started. Ads on the TLC app kept cutting in in the middle of scenes. I thought a couple’s segment was playing twice because Cow Patty and Stevi look alike and both live in middle-of-nowhere towns. They both showed their fiancés around downtown nowhere in this episode

The last time I was in Paris I got to chatting with a teacher on the metro and she said how other countries do a much better job at teaching English but France teaches English like we (the U.S.) teach other languages (by textbook, not as much speaking in real life). All to say that when I’ve been in Paris ppl seem pretty happy when I speak French, since they don’t speak English quite as well as, say, ze Germans…who often speak as well if not better than native English speakers in my experience 😂

During Clint& Tracie’s season, we had to drive through the town of Hobbs on our way to Santa Fe. I insisted we stop and go into Clint’s family’s butcher shop, Kendall’s Kountry Meat Market. One of the girls who worked there asked my husband why I was taking photos. He panicked and said ‘She’s from Scotland. She’s never seen beef jerky before’ 😂

I love y'all but come on. Trans people can absolutely date when they're just starting their transition; the doctors don't demand you move away and remove all traces of your old life anymore. Will it be hard? Maybe but it's just like any other big life change (hell sometimes it's not even that big of a life change, mine didn't change much and with Aaliya already having a community in Brazil, i suspect her outward life didn't change too much) It's fine to have that support. Anecdotes aren't data but I started dating my boyfriend at 21, a year and some change after I started socially transitioning and we've been together now 13 years.
