After this episode I realized I feel like we never saw Kenny and Brittany talk about past relationships or how they want to be loved. They only talked about their shared values and what they expected from life, not really a partner. And I think when she’s trying to explore if there’s any chemistry with appropriate affection, he’s not willing to meet her halfway :( I feel for her

One more note on the birth control subject, IUDs have hormones as well and if your endocrine system is sensitive, it will cause just as much havoc as pills. But I LOVE this conversation because as Johnny admitted, men assume that women will bear the emotional and physical burden of birth control. He just assumed all women are on birth control and he can just lay his surfer vibe pipe wherever and whenever. And I love that Amy isn’t just rolling over and taking on the responsibility. It’s a shared burden. And back to the previous episode about the plate stacking. I’ve had 30 plus years experience in the restaurant business and I will do this IF a server/busser just leaves dirty dishes at my table for an extended length of time. I want them gone. I find it odd that Johnny WANTS children, but is so INCREDIBLY petrified of having one within the next 5 years that he won’t even use a condom by itself. The truth is, he’s never going to FEEL financially stable enough to have a kid. If in the unlikely event she got pregnant now instead of in a few years, would their situation even be that different? I don’t think anyone is ever truly “ready” for children, and if you actually want them you can’t have such strict standards because they may never come to fruition and then you’ll miss your chance. I’m an old lady now…55. Our IUD options, when finally offered were limited. And 30/40 years ago, we had no idea how damaging daily hormones can be on the body. It’s the reason that they believed I got breast cancer when I was 43. So yes, Amy has every right to avoid that if she chooses.

I could write a novel about how I feel about what Kenneth said to Brittany in this episode, but all I'll say is he's disgusting and I now despise him. He gaslit her by using talk he clearly picked up from Christian self-help/how to be a successful businessperson books, blamed HER for not being interested enough in HIM (lol wut), talked down to and berated her. I also definitely picked up on him thinking it's a woman's role to 'give her man grace'. Translation: don't ever disagree with me, always be deferential, and when I come home at 1:30am, be grateful I'm here. If he can't handle someone as unassuming and kind as Brittany, sweet Jesus how is he ever going to be able to be in a relationship with any other woman. re: birth control - as a woman with hormone issues and experience with so many kinds of birth control, it is so reasonable to refuse to put these hormones in your body. my doctor put me on them because my period wasn't as regular as they thought it should be, and it really screwed up the end of my teen years. regarding the IUD, the only non-hormonal one has one primary side effect, and it is increasing the pain and flow during your period, so it would actually make her anemia worse also i was talking about how much i love yalls funny and insightful takes to my partner yesterday and it started a fight because he thinks reality tv makes me stupider, so thanks for that! love y'all too much apparently

I’m not sure any urologists will tell a couple that a vasectomy is a valid option as reversible birth control. I have taken care of vasectomy and vasectomy reversal patients in the recovery room.

IUD is extremely painful to place & remove and they offer zero pain medication for and after the procedure. There is also a documentary about them and how dangerous they are for women. Birth control is also condoms, right or am I crazy? She can also track her periods and know when she is ovulating so then they don’t have sex then.

I love Johnny and his journey with BC. Condoms break, they roll down. They slip off, etc. I have endometriosis and have an IUD and take Heather to help with pain and avoid cysts and tissue. I tried all kinds of BC and had severe depression and suicidal thoughts on any and all form, and then all providers gaslit me into thinking I was over-reacting. Next year I am due to replace my IUD and I said I wanted it to be treated as surgery and I wanted LOA and pain meds after. She was like oh it’s not a big deal.
