Hey, All ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

I've had time to doodle around with bookplate ideas. The three here aren't final, mind you. I might get rid of that orange line around the cloud and do who knows what else. I'm still fiddling around with them. But they're close enough to share.

I also found some washi paper with a sticky back, so they will look even more 和風 (Japanese style) and you can stick them in your books, too.

On top of that, I found some really cool handmade washi paper and I'm making little bookmarks. I need to carve something to stamp on them still. But they're being worked on. Oh, and then I drew a tengu based on Michelle's drawing from the book. I asked her to draw that pose, so I quite like it. She did such a great job on all the yōkai. I really don't have a favorite. Anyway, I just ordered stickers of that little fellow as well. They'll be here by the end of the month.

So for now, I wanted to let tengu, oni, and kappa patrons know that I'll be sending those out in the next batch of (March and April) postcards at the end of April (once the stickers get here). It'll be a bigger envelope, of course and I'll let you know when they go into the mail.

Note: If you have a preference of bookplates and/or name (This Book Belongs to__?__), just message or email me and let me know!

Once, I get everything made and sent out to tengu, oni, and kappa, I'll see how much stuff I have left over and open up to first come first serve, everyone else. I'll really try to send to all patrons who are interested.

In other news: There's so much going on. I'm working on a new intro/outro for the show, even have Julyan making some new music for it. That and I actually have a publicist now and she's lining up all sorts of interviews which is hugely anxiety-inducing for a person who just enjoys sitting and typing words and reading books and going for walks and watching crows act silly.

But I've decided to embrace the whole thing. I'm in control of how I feel about things that happen to me, so this will be a wonderful chance to get out of my comfort zone, meet new people, consolidate my thoughts about various things, and, well, just shake things up. #stillnervousthoughI have a post I want to do about the second temple/shrine we visited that I fell absolutely in love with, even more than the yatagarasu shrine! Lotsa cool photos, too. I'll work on that this weekend. Oh, and Richard took the new microphone up with us and got trickling river and bird song and I am going to ask him to get some of it ready to share here with you all.

Thank you and XOXO and I present you with two other variations of the bookplate:Well, hello there!

Don't forget me!

XO,

What a great idea! I just love the third one. Regarding interviews, they aren't really scary. Just think of them as having a chat. There is no way that the interviewer will figure out that you are a spy from Alpha Centuri so you have nothing to worry about. Just keep your third eye closed. When you think of it, isn't it more scary to have a conversation with someone in a language that isn't your native one? You do this every day and don't think about it. Trying to speak a second language is something that has always terrified me!

I love these! I kind of want to gift them to the youngsters in my life, will think on that 😌 Congratulations on the things you are manifesting in life right now. Love your bravery. I like the idea that life is all about the journey. Spiritually. In relation to that, you can't go wrong, certainly not about being on your path (I know, still, maybe especially, this takes one out of their comfort zone). "Fighting!"

Don't be afraid of journalists (take it from one 😉). You have so much to tell, you master your subject so much that you won't have any problem leading them along so that they have more than enough to fill their columns with interesting /fascinating bits and pieces that will keep their readers happy. Keep it up Thresa. can't wait to read those interviews too... ☺️

You could push it even more 和風 and put the “this book belongs to” in Japanese.

These are beautiful and made my day! 🥰💚

Paul, third one it is! I'm making the creatures bigger and following Dave's advice and adding Japanese, too. You're right! I finished the first interview and I think it went well. Better than I thought it would! Thank you~~

Uncanny Japan -- Thersa Matsuura

Thank you~~, the written ones I'm okay with because I have some time to think...the one's where I have to talk real time make me nervous! 😜
