Ep. 185 -- The Dreaded "Year of the Fire Horse & a Cursed Kimono (Patreon)

Hey there 🖐️

I'm an enormous jumble of emotions over here. Today's the last day in this house. Tomorrow the movers come. I'm not nearly packed completely, but I can come back and get stuff I've left (camping gear, more books, and what not). The new place isn't nearly ready, but I did clear out two rooms so hopefully that will be enough to pile things.

I'm going through the day trying to name the emotions but it's hard to catch anything long enough. Sadness underlies it all. The good times were so very, very good. We're both sad but trying to put on a brave face.

The crows are acting super strange. Even Richard was commenting on how they were making all new (weird) noises and staying on the veranda or the next door neighbor's house all day. Right now someone is out there raising a fuss. Earlier it was very low lightly clicking noises. Maybe they can sense something? Niblet sounds like he's lost his mind out there. He's still fussing.

I did get an episode recorded though! The Lunar Year starts February 17th and it's about the Year of the Fire Horse and some interesting legends. The Fire Horse year is just hitting spot on.

I'll set up my recording booth right away and start working on the next Bedtime Story and new episodes of UJ. Looking forward to researching and recording them again. I really miss it.
