A little goofball and a prayer for rain on the bush fires in Australia. These are December’s postcards. I just started January’s, recording the podcast soon, and have envelopes to get into the mail. Bedtime Story, too! 🎧😴🕯🎤

These are so cute!!!!!!!!! I’m now hearing the song about rain drops being gum drops, I stand outside with my mouth open wide singing “ah ah ah ah ah ah ah” lol

I will perform 10 Mae as intentions for Australia . Then I’ll go there because we are sending two of our planes to help fight fires there😌

Dollar Rain

I've been catching up with past episodes, and recently got to listening to the Tsukumogami one. Listening to that reminded me of the Touhou series, in which several tsukumogami feature. There's a karakasa obake ("Kogasa Tatara"), several musical instrument youkai, and an interesting one called a 'menreiki' ("Hata no Kokoro") that's based on masks. I've tried to find out more about menreiki, but information in English is sparse and usually video-game related. Do you know more about this one from your Japanese reading?

Uncanny Japan -- Thersa Matsuura

One of my big dreams is to travel all around the touhoku area and dig deep into local folklore and myth. Thank you for mentioning menreiki. I'm going to read up on them (I love Japanese masks!) and I think this will make a good show!
