Putting up twenty minutes of Brown/Brownian Noise (also called Red Noise, I just learned). It the deep rumble of the earth sound, I suppose you could call it. This is the bassy, lower frequencies Richard usually cuts off when we do outdoor recordings.
I don't know. I kind of find it very creepy, haunting, and makes me dream of rats doing yoga and old turtles with bladder issues. Which is better than dreams of being covered in cockroaches (last week).
Feel free to listen and use as you like. If you have any cool or whacky dreams you want to share...
Also, I posted the below on a few social media platforms on a whim. I'll cross post here because after saying it out loud I'm even more excited about and wanting to do this thing and it'll mean a lot of fresh content for Patreon. It'll especially be fun to visit some lesser known or harder to get to by bus or train places. I very much want to do off the beaten track kind of things.
But unless you read Facebook or Mastodon or Instagram, you don't know what I'm talking about. My New Bright Idea/Dream! (about six months away?)
***
Is this what a mid life crisis feels like? I cannot (for months) stop thinking about getting a van, turning it into a camper, and just taking off. Traveling up one side of Japan, stopping often to explore, study, record, write until I get to Julyan's place in Hokkaido.
After a visit there with him and his girlfriend, I'll explore that island a little, then head back down the other coast.
Every day life is getting shorter and I can't help thinking how fun, exciting, difficult, and truly life changing the whole trip will be.
A slow life. I'll write my book and more short stories, continue to podcast, as well as share the adventures, studies, photographs, videos, and soundscapes as I go.
I am SO EXCITED!! ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡
I have no idea how I'm going to pull it off though. But I'm kind of already decided in my heart.
Next spring. ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ
