Here's a little video I made of things like New Year's Eve at the temple (joya no kane / ้™คๅคœใฎ้˜) and the first sunrise (hatsu hi no de / ๅˆๆ—ฅใฎๅ‡บ).

It's not much and there's a typo I *just* caught (at least one๏ผˆโˆ’๏ผฟโˆ’๏ผ›๏ผ‰), but I wanted to get it up before it was too much into 2023 and the New Year's Vibe was gone.

My second (third?) video and I realize I need to up my video making game. Should probably first stop shooting on my cheapo Android phone and use my old DSLR. There's a start. All in good time. Little bit by little bit. I'll be shooting on a real camera next time and aiming for zero typos!Everyone stay well, XOXO,

Oh, how I miss that beach view of Fujisan! ๐Ÿ˜ญ Thank you for sharing.

Lovely view of Fujisan ๐Ÿ˜ When I lived in Japan I was based on the east side of Tokyo, in Chiba-ken so I didn't get to see Fuji very often. The times I caught a glimpse when I was on the train to Izu or Hakone (and there wasn't cloud cover) I felt like it was a kind of blessing.

By the way, I didn't notice any typos ๐Ÿ™‚ but I did notice that the fishing boat banners all seemed to have the characters ๅ…„ๅผŸไธ€ๅŒ at the bottom. I've seen the phrase ๅฎถๆ—ไธ€ๅŒๅ…ƒๆฐ—ใซใ—ใฆใŠใ‚Šใพใ™ in polite letters so I can guess the meaning of ๅ…„ๅผŸไธ€ๅŒ, but why do the fishing boats have this? Is it because they are crewed by groups of brothers, or were traditionally?
