A Twitter/X-style SNS app for the Smartphone Widget. Chirp adds a full SNS feed to your in-game phones. Characters can post, reply, follow each other, and scroll a timeline just like a real social network.

🐦 Timeline & Posting

Characters post short messages (280 characters), attach images, and tag with hashtags. The timeline has two tabs: "For You" shows all public chirps, "Following" filters to accounts the character follows. Replies thread under the original post.

🔁 Rechirps, Quotes & Polls

Rechirp (share) other characters' posts to your followers. Quote chirps add your own text above the original. Create polls with multiple options. Other characters vote and see live results.

💬 Direct Messages

Private 1:1 conversations between any two accounts. Messages appear in a dedicated DM inbox with unread indicators.

📈 Trending Hashtags

A trending section displays popular hashtags. GMs set these manually to steer in-world narrative: fake a viral event, a political scandal, or a meme trend.

👤 Profiles & Social Graph

Each account has a profile page with avatar, bio, follower/following counts, and tabbed post history (chirps, replies, media, likes). Characters follow and unfollow each other. Mute and block are available.

🔔 Notifications

Likes, rechirps, replies, and new followers generate notifications. A bell icon in the bottom nav shows the unread count.

🎮 GM Tools

Account Management: Create NPC accounts without linking to a player. Edit any account's handle, name, bio, and verified badge.

Fake Counts: Set artificial like, rechirp, and bookmark numbers on any post to make the feed look active.

Trend Control: Add, remove, and reorder trending hashtags with custom categories and post counts.

Login As: Log into any account from the GM panel for testing or NPC posting.

🎨 Customizable Branding

GMs can rename the "Rechirp" action to anything (Retweet, Repost, Boost) and swap the app's logo icon via FontAwesome classes. Combined with the Smartphone Widget's existing app name/icon settings, the whole app can be reskinned to match your setting. Modern-day Twitter, a fantasy message board, a sci-fi comm network.
