π Stylish Relationship Tracker v1.4.0: Organizations and the Organization Map (Patreon)
Content
v1.4.0 adds shared organizations with members, roles, history, and relationships between organizations, managed in a new Organizations & Reputation window. The Relationship Map gains an Organizations view that groups people by organization in all six themes.
ποΈ Organizations & Reputation Window
The new Organizations & Reputation window keeps one shared list of organizations with their names, descriptions, emblems, members, and Actor reputation records. Each organization's page has five tabs: Overview, Relations, History, Members, and Reputation.
Every tab except Overview shows how many entries it holds. The sidebar search matches member names and roles as well as organization names.
GMs can create or open an Actor's reputation from the Reputation tab, and opening one minimizes the window. Membership and reputation stay independent of each other.
If the directory changes while you are editing, a banner offers to load the latest version.
π₯ Organization Members
An existing Actor can belong to several organizations, with an optional role in each.
Hold Ctrl in the member picker to add several Actors at once, or drop Actors on the Members tab. Dropping an Actor folder adds every Actor in it, including its subfolders.
While you type a role, roles already used in the same organization are suggested first, followed by roles from other organizations.
When Actors on a roster have been deleted, the Members tab shows an "N missing" badge next to the headcount. Clicking it removes them from that roster after you confirm.
π¨ Organization Colours
A GM can pick the colour each organization is drawn in. The directory and the map use it, including the map's organization chooser. An organization left on Automatic gets a generated colour.
π° Suborganizations
An organization can sit inside another. Choose a parent in the edit form, or use New suborganization on the parent's Overview tab.
Rosters stay separate. The sidebar indents a suborganization under its parent, and the organization map draws it inside the parent's area.
Deleting an organization moves its suborganizations up to its own parent. A player who cannot see the parent sees the suborganization at the top level.
π Organization History
Each organization has a History tab. An entry has a free-text When field, such as a session number or a season, and a description of what happened.
Entries stay in the order you record them. New entries start with Show to the GM only turned on.
History has no rank and does not change Actor reputation.
π€ Relationships Between Organizations
GMs can record how one organization views another, with a relationship name, an attitude (friendly, neutral, or hostile), a description, and visibility. Each side can hold a different view, and each view gets its own arrow.
A relationship has its own log and a standing: a rank out of a maximum, plus progress toward the next rank that carries over when the steps fill, as with Actor relationships.
New relationships and new log entries start as GM-only. These relationships do not change Actor reputation or membership.
ποΈ Organization Visibility
GMs can hide an organization, its whole member list, or individual members from players. New organizations start as GM-only.
Member names and portraits follow each player's Actor permissions. A hidden member list shows as private in place of a headcount, in the directory and on the map.
Players cannot see a reputation linked to an organization hidden from them. The same applies after the linked organization is deleted, until a GM unlinks the reputation.
π Linked Organization Reputation
Existing organization reputation entries can be registered as shared organizations or linked to one already in the directory. A linked entry shows the organization's current name, description, and emblem, and keeps its own ranks, notes, Event Log, and permissions.
A linked entry has an Organization & Members button in its detail view and in the Manager, which opens the organization in the directory.
Entries stay independent until a GM links them. Unlinking restores the entry's original details, and deleting a shared organization keeps its Actors and reputation records. The party-sharing controls for shared reputation progress still work.
πΊοΈ Organizations View on the Relationship Map
The Relationship Map switches between Relationships and Organizations in all six themes. The Organizations view groups people into organization areas.
Zoom in to see members and personal connections across organizations. Zoom out to see the organizations and the relationships between them, with member faces still shown.
Entering the view or resetting the zoom fits every organization on screen, unless that would take the zoom below its minimum. Organization positions stay fixed while you zoom.
Select a person to highlight their connections, or click an organization's emblem to zoom into it. A person with several memberships appears in each organization you can see.
π·οΈ Organization Map Labels
Organization areas carry emblems and nameplates, and members appear in framed portraits. Titles and member counts keep a readable size when the map is zoomed out.
When two organizations each record a view of the other, both views share one label with a row for each direction.
A label is placed where it covers no title, face, or other label, or where it covers the least when no such spot is free. Reciprocal personal relationship labels sit on opposite sides of their line.
π Organization Map Side Panel
Selecting an organization shows its emblem, name, member count, and description in the side panel, with a button that opens it in the directory.
Each related organization is listed as a row that selects it on the map. Under that row, every relationship takes its attitude's colour, which matches its line on the map, and a ranked relationship shows its rank and progress.
The organization chooser lists each organization with its colour and member count.
πͺ Chain of Command
A member can name who they report to within the same organization, set from the roster row next to their role. Where a chain is recorded, the map draws that roster as a chart.
The top of the chain sits above the people who report to it, and members who share a superior share a row. A rung in the organization's colour joins each pair, and the top of the chain is drawn largest.
A member whose superior is hidden or has left heads their own branch.
Drawing the chart is a per-organization switch, so a chain can also be kept only as a record.
β¨ Automatic Organization Layout
The largest roster takes the centre of the map and the other organizations orbit it in rings, the way the Relationship Map arranges people. Each area is sized and shaped by its own roster.
Inside an area, members are arranged by their relationships. A roster that answers to one member gathers around them, and a roster where everyone knows everyone packs together. Separate circles of acquaintance keep to their own sides, and a line of acquaintances is laid out as a route that curls back on itself.
When a roster has no recorded relationships, it takes one of four open figures, chosen from the organization's id.
The member everyone answers to is drawn largest, and unattached members are drawn smaller and further out. Hidden members keep to the edge.
Automatic placement depends only on headcount and id, so areas keep their positions when names, selection, or zoom change.
π Theme Styles for the Organization Map
The Organizations view follows the active theme. Each theme draws the emblem, nameplate, member frames, and lines in its own style and tints each organization's colour toward its palette.
Archive uses a panel with two cut corners, Dossier Paper a case folder whose tab carries the title, and Journal a hand-drawn loop. Arcane Grimoire uses an arched window with the emblem on its crown, Stellar Link a sector with bracketed corners, and Adventurer's Ledger a wandering border with a band of the organization's colour.
A suborganization is drawn as a section of its parent in the same style, such as a spine with a printed heading in Archive or an arched niche in Arcane Grimoire. Unaffiliated contacts get a faint broken outline.
π Arrange the Organization Map
With Arrange map, a GM can drag each top-level organization to a new spot, and its suborganizations move with it. Each drop is saved for the whole world, so every participant sees the same layout.
Reset to automatic layout returns the map to its rings.
A placed organization moves only if it would overlap another. A player can see an area at a different size than the GM, because hidden members are left out.
Improvements
Relationship Preset Sorting: The Manager's preset selector can sort by name in either direction, or by newest or oldest. The chosen mode is saved per client and does not change the shared presets.
Movable Windowed Tracker: In Windowed mode, a grip tab above the Relationship Tracker's top edge drags the window. Part of the grip always stays on screen, and switching to Fullscreen and back returns the window to where it was.
Organizations Tab Colour: The Organizations list tab has a second accent colour in every theme, where before only Stellar Link and Adventurer's Ledger had one.
Bug Fixes
Archive Organization Borders: Organization node outlines were clipped into fragments or cut off at the corners. Borders now follow the full shape with even thickness in the Relationship Map and the Manager's image preview, including selected, locked, and smaller nodes.
Requires GlitchSmith Library v0.13.0 or newer. Foundry VTT v13 and v14 are supported.
