I'm so glad you guys watched and enjoyed this show. I think all of us are a little broken, because I too was expecting a bus full of school children to plow into out boys at the end credits. If you find the time I highly recommend rewatching at least once. There are some great easter eggs and parallels that are in the show. You could really tell that Jacob Tierney wanted to do justice to the series. I'm glad you were as happy at The Cottage as all the rest of us.

Also if you guys like this, Jacob Tierney also made Letterkenny and I think the first couple seasons of Shorsey. There’s a lot more hockey in those. But they’re just as well-made, although of course, shot differently. 🫡

About the books thing, all the books cover different couples. Shane and Ilya just happen to have 2 books because Ilya's Rachel Reid's favorite character haha. This season covers book 2 of the series which is also named Heated Rivalry. Scott and Kip's storyline is in book 1 -Game Changers - so if you're interested in reading the books at all, you're safe to read books 1 and 2. Season 2 will be covering book 6 - The Long Game - and I believe some of the other books (briefly?) as well. Season 3 I believe has not been greenlit yet but the actors are under contract for 3 seasons since there's a 7th book coming out soon about Shane and Ilya.

I definitely think they'll cover the other few books quickly and simultaneously since Ilya shows up in them all,though I'd think they'd do more with Troy and Harris is role model since it and long game kind of happen simultaneously and Ilya and Troy are heavily featured as part of 5 and 6!

By the way, I just wanna mention the little slaps during the telephone scene were improvised by Hudson and Connor. The intimacy coordinator actually had to leave her station for a few minutes because she was laughing so hard.

i so hope they dont bloat the budget. I think this kind of show they need to keep the same budget going (other than cast saleries). The scale of the show was perfect.

This was my 4th? time watching the show (yes, i love this show. could you tell?) and it has broken me in so many good ways. I'm not usually one to watch romances but i saw so much chatter about this when it was releasing and i had to give it a go. So stoked i was able to enjoy it another time with you. After the 1st watch I did read the books and oh boy, theres a lot of juicy stuff coming your way whenever the next season comes, cant wait!

I agree, they’ll combine Role Model and Long Game as they happen at the same time. I doing know how much of the other 2 couples we’ll get though. Troy really only works if you have the context from Ryan about how much of an ass he was so we shall see, especially as Ryan is mentioned in episode 4.

I enjoyed watching this series with you---Thank you Amanda---....but every time you spoke you missed something important. lol The book has a cottage scene after leaving Shane's parents. Then it also has an epilogue that takes place 16 months later. Gear up for season 2!

Man, I’m so glad you have the edit experience to catch all the stuff you talked over. It’s so funny to have been pining for them to talk this whole time and be complaining about all of the sex scenes over the talking scenes and then to talk over all the talking scenes but you do you and I’ve enjoyed the Preview I’m just being a brat..
