It was fine, endings are hard. I know a lot of people's favorite part was the epilogue, but honestly I think it would've been way more interesting to have ended it right after Eleven's sacrifice(alleged!)

I can't believe they put Purple Rain in the background in what was arguably the WORST scene in all of stranger things ( I'm being dramatic but still, lol). Like the writing was predictable, the acting was chopped and the chemistry was in the negatives. Like no disrespect but Millie and Finn have always shined the brightest when they are in scenes with other actors in the show and not with each other, it's why once you finally put them together it becomes glaringly obvious why you kept them apart most of the time. Purple Rain deserved better.

Since the military didn’t play a role except for light opposition and to bring the sis into the story. It would be cooler if after the cliffhanger last season. Majority of Hawkins was quarantined with d dogs and other monsters with a military presence on the border. Instead of doing boring gunfights with military it would’ve of been monster encounters and fighting to get to the gate/portal. Where were the monsters when they journeyed to climb up to the other world? None in the upside down or on the other planet. Remember when the upside down felt dangerous? Me too It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great television like the first few seasons

To answer Spidey's question about DnD campaigns that have gone on to become fantasy series, there are actually quite a few. Malazan: Book of the Fallen, often rated among the top 3 fantasy series ever, started out as a DnD campaign in the 90s.

One thing I’m wondering about—this isn’t really a critique, more of a question—is that the military had a separate base inside the Upside Down. That’s where they were holding Eight, and it’s also where they had five or six pregnant women. So when the Upside Down collapsed, did all of those women—and their unborn babies—get taken out too? I know they were already dying from the blood transfusion experiments, but it’s strange no one even mentioned the poor pregnant women.

For all we know all those women had already died from Kali's blood before the explosion. We don't know how much time passed between her attempted escape and once El finds her.

So they basically just reheated the season finale of Buffy season 5 even down to the hero understanding her gift to save the others

This finale was serviceable I guess. Too much time passed between seasons for me personally. At least it ended better than Bran the broken taking over westeros and Jon going off into the distance. 🤦

I can finally react to this after seeing the movie in theaters but man what a finale. I genuinely thought Will was gonna Talk No Justu Henry into helping them. Btw, it was funny how Spidey said, “We are…” and shortly after Henry said, “We Are ONE.”

There are like 10 different plotholes from this finale but the bigger thing to me is wtf happened to Dipshit Derricks whole family? Does Big D not csre cus he bagged holly wheeler? Did his sister die because she never ate her god damn pie? Just forgotten about in that barn like dustins crazy computer girlfriend and all the demo creatures.

"6 kids is A LOT. That's borderline irresponsible." Lmao. I'm the third of 6, born in 91. Yes- you could do that back then. But it was still considered a lot. My family was middle class and had a ton of support. I think Steve saying that is the equivalent to, like, saying they want 4 in today's economy. lol
