The big barman at the Bing is called Georgie. He has been beaten on multiple occasions, 4 times by Tony and once by Ralphie. Season 1, Tony beats him when he is having trouble working the New phone system at the Bing. Season 3 he beats him for bringing the Big Mouth Billy Bass in to the Bing. Season 3 Ralph nearly blinds him with the chain and padlock. Season 4 Tony beats him for "wasting ice", and then this beating in season 5 about the terrorism.

The ending of this one was art. Tony and Janice and then him walking away, grinning while that perfectly picked tune plays. "I'm not like everybody else." Perfect.

As someone who went through what Chris did and having nobody in my life believe me, it was great to see you guys follow that same pattern. Even when a show tries to spell out a sad toxic dynamic you guys STILL defend it. Genuinely made me so fucking sad .

I feel bad for Christopher and Janice. Tony is such a piece of shit that he refuses to accept that people can change because he himself cannot. He spends years telling Christopher to get his life together, stop using drugs, and become more responsible. Then, when Christopher actually gets sober, Tony starts mocking recovery culture, making jokes about meetings, and treating sobriety as a weakness. The situation with Janice is even more revealing. For once, Janice is genuinely trying to improve herself through anger management and seems calmer and more stable. Tony sees this and immediately starts provoking her with increasingly cruel comments about her past and her strained relationship with her son, until she finally explodes. Then he just walks away smiling because he got exactly the reaction he wanted. The disturbing part is that he gains nothing tangible from ragging on Christopher or Janice. He is not protecting himself or advancing some criminal scheme. He simply cannot tolerate the possibility that people close to him might become happier or healthier than he is. In many ways, these moments reveal one of Tony’s ugliest traits, his need to drag other people back down whenever they start becoming the kind of person he knows he will never be.

Tony is the one who was getting on Chris about being sober and then is like have a drink always mad me mad lol

Wes

Virtually, everyone in this show is a hypocrite. Tony being a mass one, but that’s also what makes him such a compelling character. He knows right from wrong, and at times he can show guilt and empathy, but his lifestyle and the way he grew up often conflicts with his morality.

Nobody has mentioned it yet but the body chris moved was the guy he shot in episode 1, he later moved the body in episode 8 cause he was paranoid about indictments. Chris made Georgie (the bartender tony likes to beat up) help him dig up the body, georgie threw up poor guy

Javi

Ah yes the infamous terrible transition from that Carmela scene LMFAO too funny

Tony

We never got the story from Chris about his phone call

Such an out of place moment for this show lmao. David Chase must've been off the week that decision was made.

#SundayRundown I went down the rabbit hole trying to find that Bufferin commercial referenced during Janice's anger management session: "Doris, can't you keep Billy's bike out of the driveway?" It does seem to a be a real commercial, it's just lost to time. I found a similar commercial from around that same era with a different guy snapping at his wife: https://youtu.be/Pen78xuA8cQ?si=G6PCfONNNgo-pstT

And this trait of Tony's is probably straight from Livia's playbook. Tony is starting to resemble his mother more and more. He doesn't like people who are happier than he is ("the happy wanderers"), but he doesn't seem to like people who are worse off either. "Oh, poor you" has become a part of Tony's vocabulary as well

Just letting you know season 5 episode 12 Long Term Parking is very SAD just a heads up #sundayrundown

Stan the Man

What the fuck? Why do that? Let them experience the show without giving hints or warnings.

Stan the Man

You guys really need to let the music play out and stop killing it right after it’s over. You are losing a big part of the storytelling.

Stan the Man

Seriously. When they talk over the music and stop it early right after the credits roll I’m always like “you’re missing the Greek chorus”. The music is as much a part of the show as the dialogue and this episode has a fucking banger. Especially when you get the live audience chanting “I’m not like everybody else” which is hilariously ironic. If they stop early during episode 2 of season 6 they are missing a major bit of storytelling

KMun79

You do realize there are music rights issues. It's a risk for them to play anything more than a snippet of a song

Veya

buddy, they are playing the entire episodes full length uncensored from the links provided and have done so for multiple shows. they can just edit out the music portion on their youtube edits, especially when the person is just asking for them to sit with the end credit songs a bit longer, which doesn't need to involve a lot of talking over.
