I think it's a little silly Hal got arrested for all that tbh. It's also "Fuck Rushville" forever. Hal never should've stopped Zoe, they clearly had it coming.

Step B.

Who else were they gonna arrest

Dragon

...no one? The police don't have to arrest just anybody.

Sage

Idk I can’t get with the whole “Hal is the reason innocent people died” he was there literally trying to prevent that and was even helping people knowing his ring was low on power. I blame the actual manhunter that did the killing

NickTheFox

not really, Hal said "he took the fall", might get more explanation with arrested and jail part next episode, but it's probably his idea to go in due to his own guilt and cover for John, at least that's what he thinks

She was also Hal Jordan’s longest love interest; they were always on-and-off again because Hal could never commit or was too busy being Green Lantern. She even becomes the villain/hero Star Sapphire who you recently saw in the Justice League animated series because she became a member of the The Star Sapphire Corps. The Star Sapphires(Violet Lanterns) are powered by love, but sometimes the powers their rings give them causes their love to be more obsessive and corrupt them. This has changed overtime in comics though and they’re a good peacekeeping corps now.

Even the guilt part is weird. I get that he cares, that's in character. But he really doesn't owe these people much.

NickTheFox

it's just that town, because most owe the Manhunter plus if Hal is not there and leave in the beginning nothing will happen, everything will probably be the same and "peace" as long as no one poke the Manhunter

#SundayRundown I think it's important that Hal told John that he they didn't meet that night in the diner. I think Hal realized they were being played by someone, be it another Manhunter or maybe one of the Guardians. Hell, Hal was egging on John, as if he was testing John to see if it really was him or maybe someone in disguise. It's why there was such whiplash after the punch, Hal legit looks scared and calls him John instead of Junior. He knows this is really John and gives him a clue. I also think it was of note that the one person saw John enter the diner, as they'll probably report to the true mastermind the two met before Hal was killed. That'll probably be the big reveal, when the mastermind accidentally reveals the two met before Hal's death.

#SundayRundown I think Lianna the Guardian broke Sinestro out. Also Noah is deffs a Manhunter trying to engineer humanities extinction. His name is Noah and John is building Arks lmao. Did you notice John’s story paralleling Hal’s? John gets in a fight with locals, gets arrested and spends a night in lock up same as Hal did . Hal messed around with the aliens bodies to investigate, John has to dig up Hal’s corpse to do the same. John gets invited to dinner by Kerry just like they were invited to Macon’s place in 2016 (and even brings beer like Hal did). He gets in debt to a local (the waitress blackmail) for a favour, just as Hal got in debt to the Macon’s for bail money. Even within the episode he echoes Hal: Hal gets John to act by manipulating his fear, saying John didn’t take the ring because he was scared. All this after referencing Guy for no reason at all - he pretty much plants the seeds of John’s entire scheme in the episode in his head, and he clearly knew he was going to die cause he tried to get John to avoid implicating himself. And John goes right on to manipulate Guy in the same way, playing on his fear or lack thereof (a lesson he learnt from Jordan, who learnt it from Sinestro). The main difference with John in the present is that he is now combining Hal’s instincts with his own natural strengths. In episode 1, John chose to report Kerry about the alien on the field to respect the chain of command, which Hal scoffed at and was a mistake. This time he lies to Kerry about him having been there the night of Hal’s death, an almost exact parallel of the situation but he acts differently. That makes me think that John doesn’t actually trust Kerry 100%, he suspects everyone. I don’t trust Kerry either - I think she probably knows exactly what her son is and I think if Hal found out Kerry would do anything to protect him. She shot at Hal point blank in episode 5 for that exact reason.

Zeee

The play he set up lead to people being killed. Kerry said if he doesn't leave, she'll blow up the town. A + B equals C. He's not 100% but it's def on him

Sage

Zoe is genocidal maniac who needs to be either killed or taken to OA jail and that’s literally Hal’s job. That would be like if hitler disappeared and as long as no one messes with him he shouldn’t be taken in

Sage

There are exactly 0 superhero plays that get nobody killed. Nobody wants that to happen but that’s not a knock on the superhero when it does. The other alien species would’ve eventually went after her and people still would’ve died

Brandon Corchado

They're actually practically engaged at this point for anyone keeping up with Jeremy Adams' current Green Lantern run.

#SundayRundown I think Noah shot Hal and that Lianna broke Sinestro out of Spazbakan. I've thought all along that Lianna is not representing the Guardians as a whole- she's running her own game, and manipulating the Stewarts was part of it. She wants a Green Lantern loyal to her first and the Guardians second. John refused- she now has Guy, who won't break the rules as she tells them to him. She probably told him she is the Guardian he reports to and he accepts it at face value.

Richard Kors

Lmao johns parents are funny asf

THANK GOD. I swear if it ends up being a damn MJ and Peter situation someone at DC comics is gonna have to square up

Blind Koala Reviews

Suraj still doubting the Harry Potter brand? lol. It's not like we didn't just see Hogwarts legacy come out a couple years ago and sell over 40 million copies, be the best selling game of that year, and make over a billion dollars in the process. The new HP show is going to be just fine whether channels like you guys react to it or not....

NICK Luna

He caused the death of WIlliam Macon by telling the alien terroists where he was located to use as a diversion and Macon died even though he wasn't the Manhunter. He failed to report to the Guardians or any state or federal agency for that matter that there might be a dangerous alien on the loose that could cause harm to the humans living in he town. Because he didn't follow any chain of command, he's directly reponsible for the town coming under fire and the deaths resulting from it. He took the fall for killing Zoe even though it was John Stewart. Without the ring he ddn't have the protection of the guardians who let him take the fall for Rushville. Also the people of the town were pissed at him for not leaving and taking away the one "savior" they had who took away sickness, disease from the whole town.

Sage

Dawg Hal Jordan is an INTERGALACTIC POLICE, William Macon was harboring a GENOCIDAL TERRORIST. Why are we acting like he’s a saint? Also the guardians have proven multiple times throughout the show that they are not trustworthy and even John Stewart thinks so, that’s why Hal isn’t reporting to them all they care about is getting the manhunter. Everything that happened to the town would happen whether Hal Jordan was there or not because the lanterns weren’t the only ones coming after the manhunter. Hal Jordan is the same guy that beat Sinestro and locked him up and has 30 years of experience in this job, it’s beyond ok for him to make a judgement call. A few people were killed while making that judgement call including the being everyone was after. This isn’t the first time this has happened in the superhero genre yet everyone wants to harp on Hal Jordan for it

#SundayRundown It’s amazing how we went from the shit show of Ryan R. & that bad Green Lantern movie essentially killing the GL brand for over a decade.. to having a prime time HBO show that features the THREE, yes THREE most popular Green Lanterns appearing all in one singular episode 🔥💚 . What a turn around Also, I’m just realizing.. Guy Gardener 🤝 Might Guy = Bow cut 😭😭😭

Zeee

It’s funny because Ferris Aircraft is shown in the Clayface trailers

Three top theories - Either Noah shot Hal because he's secretly a manhunter/manhunter human hybrid or a manhunter created artificial baby on some type of semi-nefarious manhunter/artificial baby/hybrid agenda - Or Hal orchestrated his death using either Noah, the Sheriff, or Maggie to lure John back to Rushville and reinspire/push him to accept the ring and be a green lantern (there is a small percent chance that Bernadette may also possibly be in on the plan since she was the one who lied to John about Hal wanting to apologize, but most likely not) - The Sheriff shot Hal to protect Noah (her miracle baby) because Hal discovered the truth about his lineage, even though she did care for Hal - Or I'm completely wrong and have no clue

#SUNDAY RUNDOWN INTERESTING DETAIL in the episode. This was written by someone named @fredchong.me on Threads "Maggie requested a very specific dollar amount from John Stewart, $314,536.27. Some people online think she’s referencing PI to 8 digits, but that would be 3.1415926. If both were a 3 with a decimal, the difference would be 0.0037701 which means ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ However, 31453627 is the part number for a 2006 Volvo BATTERY Cable, which given the weirdness of the show does feel unintentionally relevant." Also interesting… 314536 is the hex color code for a shade of deep forest green. …and a “27 piece” is slang for a short pixie weave/wig hairstyle.

So cool to see Guy Gardner! In the comics he is suspended and wears the yellow ring (Sinestro’s ring) for a time. I wonder if they will visit that at all
