Whataburger mug spotted. Deb likely ended up at the church to tell Dexter about how she was feeling at the time, knowing that Dexter was supposed to be there for the forensics sweep she asked him to conduct.

I dont agree with everyone saying Harry was a bad father back then.. given the era and limited understanding of severe psychopathy with blood lust like dexter had, he believed he was choosing the least-worst option, controlling and directing an already dangerous child rather than trying (likely futilely in his view) to get help that wouldn’t have existed or worked at the time and dexter probably would have ended up in a mental hospital. People need to remember this was the 70's this sort of thing wasn't well understood. That smy opinion though, i never saw Harry as someone who groomed him just someone loving him that much to not put him in a psych hospital for the rest of his life or just leave him to kill innocent people.

I thought Harry found him killing animals and that's what started his interactions with Dexter? So wouldn't it make sense for him to expect that again? Maybe I am misremembering though

I think that was done in S4 to connect Dexter, BHB, Lundy, to the Trinity Killer case. Some people theorize that Lundy brought Dexter in as a sort of insurance, in case Lundy can't catch him, the BHB who kills killers, will be aware of him. Some speculate that Lundy knew.

He’s about my age and yes there was counseling back then, although not as good as today. I still don’t think a layperson cop should’ve been the one to diagnose and treat Dexter based on what he assumed Dexter was. It’s like telling someone they’re a bully and they are going to feel the urge to beat people up so let me help you do that in a way you don’t get caught, I just don’t like the motive of Harry😩

Like imagine your partner actually ruining you financially because he didn’t like your game? I guess. I disagree with that. It was simply Dexter. If it was his “dark passenger” that would be someone capable of hurting Deb to get away, which I don’t think he’s capable of.

Worst part about the start of this season was killing Mike Anderson. Could've been a really fun character, they brought him in for nothing basically and that's my problem with his character.
