Now many of you have seen the new video, we would like to offer some extras! We will do at least the top voted of these options, if not the top two! There is so much more to say about all this and the Eurovision season not over yet!

Madeleine

Yay! The video was so good, thank you! ❤️❤️❤️

Verity Ritchie

omg we forgot to add that we could also do a video about the film "Eurovision: The Story of Fire Saga" and how the politics we discussed in the video essay relate to the film! Like this comment to vote on that!

ginger

I vote for all the video ideas, including this one! They all sound great!

ginger

I enjoy, but know so little about eurovision, so I'm learning so much and would love to learn more. These videos from you would all be a treat!

Riikka Puttonen

A Livestream would perfectly delay my utterly inevitable post-Eurovision depression 🙏

Bestlaf

Hey! Sorry I missed the Premiere of the video, but thanks a lot for it, it was really interesting, especially for me as a non-Eurofan from one of the Big Five! I couldn't help but notice you included some footage of Bilal Hassani. I'm glad you did. He's been pushing the limits for queer representation and especially gender non-conformity in France, which can be pretty conservative especially with the latter. Just a few weeks ago one of his gigs was cancelled because of far-right threats...

Ju Lucent

Same. Would also love to chat with Ada and Verity about the ESC.

Fishfacee

i love all of these 😭if you wanted to live stream regardless i would love that!

I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH AND WOULD EXPLODE WITH JOY IF YOU COVERED IT!!!

V are you up on the drama with the Polish national song contest? The popular vote winner Jann lost to Blanka due to a jury vote amid accusations of corruption and homophobia from the jury and broadcasting company. I don't know if anyone knows his actual sexuality but his performance style definitely challenges gender norms in the way that is particularly terrifying to straight men - while being attractive to men AND women 😱 (and probably all other genders). Feels like there's lots of complex stuff there that I know you could do justice to like no one else so I thought I'd mention it!

amazing video 😍😍😍 i started writing a eurovision essay for my own enjoyment last year, and this has definitely inspired me to keep at it!

Verity Ritchie

Vee: Hi Niamh! Yeah, we've kept up with that drama, it's very interesting lol but Ada has a lot more to say about this than I do so I'm going to pass this over to her! Ada: What I've read from second-hand English language sources definitely makes the Polish national final look pretty dodgy! But since I don't speak Polish I don't want to make any definite judgements. However, the whole situation also made me think of something I read during the research for this video which is that the public's INTERPRETATIONS of results can be even more interesting that the results themselves. So even if the Polish selection was somehow completely fair and unplanned, there is still a perception WITHIN Poland that their national broadcaster is corrupt, undemocratic and homophobic, with Eurovision becoming a lightning rod for those frustrations - and I think that's very interesting on its own. Iz kanda krejza!
