Hey everyone, it's Early Access Day! It's also Labor Day weekend AND my Birthday (go check out the short I released on YouTube after this as well) so I WAS going to just take this weekend off, but... I just like workin' too much! So, enjoy this all new Scumbags of the Internet!

Our first ever ANONYMOUS Scumbag? Buckley looks at "CyberLeek", the person (or people?) who released a bunch of footage of GTA 6, threatening to spoiler the plot if Rockstar didn't cave to their demands of a physical release. "That seems kinda noble actually Buckley, why's THAT scumbag behavior?" WELL... turns out it wasn't exactly altruistic. Get ready to be shocked: the guy who had his own crypto coin didn't actually have your best interests at heart.

That's the thing: the people who were defending Cyberleek did not seem to get that, yes, for the past year, Rockstar practically pulled scummy move after scummy move. But Cyberleek was not a hero in this situation; it should've taken him trying to peddle his meme coin for people to realize that.

Is it scummy to extort company for money - yes. Is it scummy to extort people for money - yes. Is it scummy to do a crypto pump-and-dump - yes. Is it scummy to charge extra for digital only pre-orders - yes. Is it scummy to purchase a digital only pre-order - no. That's just stupid. Is it scummy to avoid the nerd tax of digital only pre-order and wait for a sale - no. That's just common sense. On a side note, seeing some of the articles and posts about GTA VI and it's gameplay (companies expecting a billion dollar loss of productivity due to PTO to play the game, or women complaining that in-game relationship is cheating...) I'm losing more faith in humanity, and there isn't much of it left to begin with.

PEOPLE are just dumb... I am glad I didn't pre order .. I already have too many games and I can play Witcher 3 for the first time too. This whole thing was a mess

I've tried getting into the Witcher 3 twice now. I just can't do it, I find it too cumbersome. Which is probably realistic and makes for "good" combat, but I just find it frustrating.

Yeah... I think Rockstar's business practices over the last decade haven't been great, focusing on GTA Online and microtransactions instead of making new single player games, but obviously others very much disagree since they're the ones spending the money. If you don't want to support a company, just don't buy the thing they sell, and if a lot of people don't buy the thing they sell, they'll fail. And if they do? Then I guess other people wanted it.

As a rule I don't preorder (except possibly in some cases where I have high faith in the company and plenty of evidence that it will be good). These days the only benefit is to download the game before release and start playing a whole 30 mins earlier, which I could not possibly care less about.

Yeah, I played it for a few hours and just didn’t care to invest the time into it. I didn’t really think it was that interesting. I’d rather play games that are around 10-20 hours long. I’m near forty I don’t have the same patience for never ending games like I used to.

That is fair. That is mostly why I play Dead by Daylight for 30 min or the Hex strategy series for like an hour. Gotta work, be active, eat and sleep. I love gaming so much more when I stopped playing arena shooters and battle royales

I don’t even have patience for cut scenes anymore. I just finished Pirate Yakuza and I skipped everything that it allowed me to. I just can’t do it anymore. If I want to watch a movie, I’ll watch a movie. I don’t need a video game to be one as well. There are exceptions like Resident Evil 9 and Pragmata. I enjoyed all the cut scenes for those, but they just don’t linger for ages. Getting older is so weird. I take care of myself pretty well but still the energy just isn’t the same.
