Yes, in the game Tommy leaves Jackson to kill Abby before Ellie & Dina leaves, even though Ellie asked Tommy to go with her originally. So when they get to Jackson and she finds out Dina is pregnant, and the logical thing to do is to go back, the excuse she clings to is, "Well Tommy is still out there, we can't just leave him."

They did such a great job with casting Joel's dad because Tony Dalton sounds so much like Pedro Pascal (when Pedro isn't using a southern accent).

The porch scene is arguably the most important scene for Ellie’s arc from the game. The game version is my favorite scene from all of TLOU media. They executed it so well for the show.

Also, watching this and then watching Joel's therapy session with Gail in the first episode... man Gail is a strong woman for trying to help him out on her first birthday since Eugene was killed.

Yep it's so heartbreaking, seeing that, hearing that, knowing that he gets murdered right in front of her the next day... And even though I played the game 5 years ago this is the first time I realized that Ellie's faith in Joel surviving was so strong in that lodge, that she used her last words to him to tell him to "get up" instead of telling him "I forgive you." She (and us) truly didn't believe he'd die there.

It’s such a bittersweet moment. You see them bare their truths about their relationship and then get a glimmer of hope that it can all be rekindled. But you remember Joel is gone and it will never be actualized.

Tommy leaves Jackson first in the game, but the game is still not about Tommy's revenge arc, pretty much at all. It's very much Ellie and Dina focused. And Ellie doesn't just leave to go after Tommy - she would have left anyway. Tommy instead went first to maybe stop her from having to go (didn't work)

Part 2 is my favorite game. The TV show makes some really clever changes that keep some things new and unique for me. If I want the game story, I'll play the game.
