I think it was implied that Law's haki did surpass Vergo. I think haki control and strength are different like naturally you need stronger haki to do full body haki but I think it distributes that strength evenly across your whole body, whereas if you concentrated it all in one spot it would be stronger. So Vergo was pretty much flexing and trying to be intimidating, but I still think Law's haki was stronger anyway. That's why you see Luffy only coating just his attacking limb like in Elephant Gun because he doesn't need to use haki for defense so he concentrates it all in his fist for max offensive power. I think of it like ken and gyo from HxH (spreading aura evenly across body and concentrating aura in one spot) This is just my interpretation, I don't think it's been explicitly confirmed either way but if anyone else knows please correct me!

Nghi Nguyen

Law not only cut Vergo, SAD lab, but all the surrounding mountains lol.

DenifClock

Yeah, it's implied that Law's haki is in the same league or stronger than Vergo's. Doflamingo was arguing that Law's attack wouldn't work on Vergo because his armament haki will block it, but it didn't.

If you think this arc is long, you ain't ready for the next one lol

21:30 Lucky did not notice Law did a Madara susanoo and sliced that whole mountain ie the entire laboratory. Now all the purple smoke will enter lmao. What triggered me the most is that Law wouldn’t start doing anything until he got Vergo’s attention lol. He tries his best to trigger Vergo then screams in pain when he squashes his heart, like he doesn’t know that’ll happen every single time lol. He was lucky Smoker gave him his heart because Law was a moron lol.

g27

Smoker after giving law his heart back says now we’re even, he forgot Law is a doctor he’ll treat him lol.

Nicholas Kent

Yes, Law's Haki is superior to Vergo's! And what's more, he's enhanced his Devil Fruit's abilities! My guy sliced Punk Hazard in half! Smoker's Devil Fruit sucks... It's not an offensive fruit AND it makes it easier for any armament haki user to destroy him! Comparing Law's fruit to Smoker's is like comparing a large spoon to a tank!

"This arc is long" Bruh its gonna take you a whole year to finish the next arc

Eden

i think vergo woulda just crushed laws heart the second he heard him say "room"

Eden

i think smoker’s fruit is underrated, he almost never uses the smoke outside his own body, even something as simple as flooding an area with smoke would blind anyone without haki and would leave them coughing and disoriented. volcanic eruptions are deadly largely because of smoke that destroys your lungs. sounds like a pretty good fruit to me, just underutilized

Eden

i think he just doesn't care if he triggers vergo, infact, raddling your captor is a common tactic, and it's not like he can do much else. if he did anything vergo found threatening his heart woulda been crushed

You know: it was this part of the manga that officially made me give up on One Piece. Like, I’ve been less and less interested in the story since Alabasta, the story focusing 100% on Luffy from Impel Down to the timeskip plummeted things even faster, and while i wasnt 100% keen on post timeskip stuff at the beginning, it was interesting enough to hold my attention though Fishman Island I guess. But then we get here. The arc already starts off on a horrible foot when Luffy says “Nah, were ignoring Namis navigation and heading to this random island instead”; that automatically sets off alarm bells for me. But i very, very distinctly remember pushing though and getting to this chapter where Luffy bursts in and begins the fight and its clearly portrayed as this big epic moment…. And I just do not care. I have no reaction whatsoever. The same thing happened also happened earlier with the whole thing about that one kid eating all the drugs so that her friends cant have them: no reaction at all from me. I am just numb to this whole story at this point. Im not reading it because i actually like it anymore, I’m here because I’m 600+ chapters in and I’m just waiting for something to grab my attention again like the start of the series did. So i just… quit. I made up my mind that id go back and read everything after the series finished and I knew what the ending what the ending was going to be. And then I didnt even think about this series for almost a decade until the internet decided that i wasn’t able to just ignore it anymore and I would be forced to know literally everything that was going on with this series. And here I am now. Fun times lol

Uh… define “good”. It famously (infamously?) is the only arc of the anime that has more episodes then chapters, and even the manga readers were complaining that there were too many chapters in the arc.

Law has stronger haki, but not necessarily better haki control. There is the actual amount (think of it as a gas tank) and strength of the haki, and there is also the level of control, to that I would also add the rate of recovery. So haki strength lets you pull off stronger attacks, and you win contests of haki. Haki control lets you be precise with your haki, such as targetting your conquerors, coating specific parts of your body (or all at the same time), and using observation haki in the middle of a chaotic fight. Haki amount lets you use it for longer, or possibly it means you have more of it if you tried to use it all at once in one big attack. But when you run out you run out, and haki is tied to your spirit so running out is like being suddenly very exhausted and vulnerable, so the speed at which your haki can recover to a baseline level is also important. To be able to break Vergo's Haki like he did, Law probably has stronger haki, but Vergo probably has better control to be able to coat his entire body at the same time. Though he likely isn't as good with observation haki or he may have been able to predict the attack better and dodge it. The Admiral's fight I believe they said it was 10 days, and I imagine they were using Haki as much as possible, so we can speculate that they probably have a lot of haki and can recover it fairly quick.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's not a big secret that Doflamingo is involved in every shady business you can imagine.
