This made me cry again. Erwin and Levi's expressions say it all. Loved your reaction, though, as always. Also, it wasn't Ivan's Patch that Levi gave; he couldn't have found it before it happened. It's one of his squads. I remember seeing this scene made me realize that Levi is one of the most emotional characters in the series. The fact that he came to console him instead of leaving him to deal with his conscience of not following orders is amazing.

He's actually so sensitive(in his own way) and empathetic. He represents the "human" side of things for me. And even if he's not crying and screaming, his eyes say so much.

When Levi says "you're the one from back then" he's referring to the military trial they put Eren through. Up until this episode he and Mikasa hadn't actually interacted.

I think you're right he's referring to the tribunal but they did kinda interact after eren placed the boulder at Trosts outer gate.

Is Levi human indeed haha...I love how everyone is like "hm, guess we'll finally see if Levi really is all that" and then awed and stunned silence when we finally see him in action! If Mikasa is worth 100 soldiers, I think Levi is literally priceless - though they do say he's worth an entire garrison in one episode. He's very strategic too - he did everything the Levi Squad did to immobilize her, just on his own and in seconds - start by the eyes, leave his swords in them so she can't regenerate, then goes for the limbs. More importantly though, this episode is really essential to show who Levi really is as a person : he doesn't hesitate to save Mikasa, even if it cost him his ankle (and could have cost him more), even tho she disobeyed him ; far from berating that one soldier who also disobeyed him and Erwin, put everyone in danger, and is the cause for Levi losing all the bodies of his own squad, he tries to comfort him and gives him that badge he totally took for himself in the first place. He just saw that one soldier, whom he's not even close to, needed it in that moment. He's a really, really kind person behind his coarse attitude.
