On site, we have our graphic artist supremo, Neil Emmanuel, and here he is in action!

Over the weekend, Neil is going to use scribing to help us to visualise one of three features related the Roman villa site: a sarcophagus, a mosaic or a hypocaust. You get to decide which one!

Take part in our poll to let us know which feature you would like Neil to scribe. We'll even grab one of the experts to explain how it works and guide us through the process.

That's easy, I'd like to see a hypocaust because they gonna dig up a mosaic and a sarcophagus ;)

Arglebargle IV

Hypocaust please (my autocorrect keeps wanting it to say "hypocrisy" though!)

Erica Griffith

Oscar the Time Team Dog please Neil 😸

Donna Shelton

The sarcophagus would be lovely, please.

Kieran Gane

Neil, you are an absolutely awesome artist. Mosaic!

Mark Lund

Sarcophagus I think. The mosaic design would be speculation wouldnt it? However any would do. Thanks

Lee Olver

Hypocaust, please and thank you!

Jude Edling

Sarcophagus, please but I'll be pleased with any or all of the choices. Thank you!

Rick Hubbard

Sarcophagus please king sir, i don't mind creeping :)

Mark Whiskin

Hypocaust, please. But all are good.

Amy Roos

A hypocaust, please! So hard to imagine what that looks like from just descriptions…

Fern Wilcox

hypocaust please! I won't confuse the issue by noting the other 2! Whatever "wins" will be great. Thanks Time Team for providing all the updates, info and, well, just everything! You are all doing a great job during what I can imagine is one heckuva chaotic time! Cheers from Minnesota

When you say, "visualised," and, "scribing," and, "represented," do you mean he's going to draw us a picture? If so, are we talking about the cartoon style we see in this video, or more like a diagram?

Dale Wilson

Sarcophagus sounds interesting !

Amy Fisher

I was going to say Sarcophgus but as Neils favorite is the Hypocaust lets have him draw what interests him the most.

Elessa Wylde

Hypocaust edges out sarcophagus narrowly for me. :)

Andrea Gallagher

Hypocaust, it would be interesting to see graphics of how a hypocaust system works.

Bruno

Sarcophagus

Dorothy Frank

I'm looking forward to seeing it. I like the 3d models, and other ways of depicting the site. Additionally, I do wish you could provide drawn pics like Victor did, so beautiful.

Keith Jones

Hypocaust gets my vote too. Thanks.

Kim Rouke

Sarcophagus! That would be wonderful.

Tamra Prior

It's okay Neil! That's the first time I saw hypocaust spelled, and for a year plus now since I started watching during pandemic, I thought it was hypercourst.

Donna Oglesby

Sarcophagus , by all means:-) thank you, Neil. appreciated!

Kay Theriault

Mosaic! :) And... I want that bag, Neil! It's awesome!

Dorcas Wilkins

That was fun thanks….by the way I want hypocaust

Caroline Borduin

Coming in late, and didn't get to vote but so enjoyed the TT comics!!

Mel Blunt

Hypocaust please

Jennifer Melides

Sarcophagus please. We have seen the others before

Tony Franklin

Sarkyhoffergus for me please Neil :) Thanks.

william

I never knew how to spell hypocaust; I'd thought hypercourse. Thanks! And, it's my choice.

Sharyle Doherty

Hypocaust. Would love to learn more about out the system works to provide heating

John Atkinson

Regarding the hypocaust, it is in the nature of things to go wrong; I have wondered if one might develop 'hot spots'. I imagine Caesar getting out of bed and putting his bare feet on a hot spot and hopping around screaming. Did the system really work effectively enough to provide even heating? Vote: hypocaust.

Donna Holt

I have seen these visualizations done at conferences before. But, would never have thought to use one on Time Team, very unique!
