This weekend, we're delighted to be joined by Professor Helena Hamerow for our feature interview on the Time Team Official YouTube channel.

Helena is an authority on Anglo-Saxon archaeology and you might remember her from our Sutton Courtenay episode, when we identified a colossal Saxon great hall.

Join us on Saturday at 7pm (GMT) for the full interview. But as an exclusive preview for our lovely Patrons, here's a clip of Helena suggesting the site that she would like Time Team to investigate next year.

But what do you reckon? Let us know below!

More in Dorchester on Thames, please! More of this interview?

Jeff, had a shufti: my equally untrained eye suspects the various archaic courses of the River Thame may have something to do with that. There's certainly a straight track across it... Helena obviously knows something!

Jeff Lanam

I had to look up the word shufti; it hasn't made it across the pond to California yet. I suspect there will be a lot of core samples to try and find the old river bed.

Carrie Hartley

This project sounds so tempting!. Many positive indicators already.. well worth a look with all the fabulous new technology.. and of course as Helen said... plenty of pubs.. what's not to like!!

Bill Karoly

I'm sure you could almost spin around blind folded and drop you finger on a map of Great Britain and you'd be close to a possible site.

Has anyone found Boudica’s body?

Elizabeth B Hess

Yes, please, do think about doing something around Dorchester.

Doug Mackey

I loved her then and I love her now!

Mike Tedham

Sounds like a fascinating site with plenty of potential (and possibly a few decent pubs for John and Stewart to explore)

William Wood

This would be very interesting, thumbs up to this as a new dig

Any saxon sites get my vote after coming across a previously unknown early saxon site with my dad. To this day only dad and myself have seen the 1500 year old artefacts in situ. All proper protocols were followed and everything remains waiting to be unearthed and learn exactly what was going on there and the extent of the site. Just maybe we will get to find out.
