You should watch the dramatic comedy movie Funny People. It has Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, and Leslie Mann. It's a Judd Apatow movie that is pretty underrated.

its part of the aesthetic to increase the amount of tension and anxiety induction. You're not always supposed to be hearing what people are saying because its either not important or its displaying the main characters lack of interest in what someone is saying.

This movie is not only great at showing what gambling can do to lives and families, but it is even better at showing that we, as Human Beings, are never satisfied with what we have...We could have millions and millions of dollars worth of stuff and just want something else every single day. Money can only go so far. It doesn't go with us when we die. I had a huge problem with spending (It started when Covid broke out, and I had to shop online, but I got to the point of getting 30-40 packages a day...I finally just stopped opening the boxes, because I was so tired. It was really bad.), and I have pretty much got it under control now, but for awhile, I just kept spending, even though it felt evil in the back of my mind. Money itself isn't evil, if you put it to good use and help others some along the way, but the love of money is evil. I have been Clean/Sober for almost 5 & 1/2 Years, but back in my addiction, sometimes I would go to Casinos, and now that I think back on it, the things that happened there were horrific. Tons of people high on dope would be on those machines, and sometimes their dealers would be right behind them, so that they could collect their winnings. People threw away their homes and vehicles. People lost their Spouses and Children. The Casinos make all of those slot machines ding all of the time to make people think others are winning, and they don't have one clock in there, because they don't want people being aware of what time it is or how long they are spending in there. It is just terrible. Gambling is definately a problem for someone that already has an addiction problem. We tend to substitute our addictions when we quit others.

There is no way those dudes would have gotten away with that. They shot him with a gun that had no silencer on it, so someone in another office would have called the police. They left fingerprints and probably hair samples, not to mention a ton of camera footage. The money and jewelry they just took isn't going to do them any good now. They are going to prison...Plus, one of them would have been stuck in the store, because that system was rigged to buzz people inside. The goons were not the bookies, so they wouldn't have received any money after Howie gave it to them, so that is why they probably looted the store, but man, they didn't use their brains whatsoever.

It’s not shown because it’s not necessary but they didn’t get away with it. They essentially locked themselves in the store by accident because one of the doors has to be closed before the other can open, and one person has to buzz the other out (The only other way to open them is with the key that is not shown at all in every scene that takes place during that time in the store). It’s highly unlikely that one of them would have stayed behind to be discovered by the police with an empty jewelry store and two corpses so it’s implied they both were caught by the police (whose sirens you can actually hear faintly in the background due to Howard’s wife calling the police)
