The Delta Flyers is a weekly Star Trek: Voyager rewatch and recap podcast hosted by Garrett Wang and Robert Duncan McNeill. Each week Garrett and Robert will rewatch an episode of Voyager starting at the very beginning. This week’s episode is Future’s End, Part 2. Garrett and Robbie recap and discuss the episode, and share their insight as series regulars. They are joined for a special guest interview with Brannon Braga, Star Trek: Voyager writer and executive producer.

Future’s End, Part 2:
Tuvok and Paris, lost in present-day Los Angeles, enlist the aid of a young astronomer and use cellular technology to communicate with the earth-orbiting Voyager.

Thanks for having Brannon on, that was cool to hear his thoughts!

It's nice to hear you guys like these eps as much as I did! And yes, I love the extra insight from Brannon.

I have to say, the whole militia group felt very much like a huuuuge nod to X-Files, which had just had its first massive three-part S2 finale/S3 premiere (and, it's worth noting, its own mid-season two-parters with S2's Colony -> End Game, and S3's Piper Maru -> Apocrypha). Anti-gov't militia dudes clued into alien conspiracies were very much a part of the zeitgeist.

When I upped my tier to receive this podcast with video, I was super skeptical if it was really worth having to stare at two dudes talking for an hour plus, when, for less money I could pop in air buds and hear the same content while doing other things. Well -- I was wrong! It has been totally worth it to watch the boys rewatching the episodes. And to see Robbie getting things wrong that he's absolutely sure about LOL (I can completely relate -- I do this too!) Or getting to see Brannon Braga looking like how I feel every time I have to use technology ;-) It didn't seem like I was missing much with the audio version, but now that I see the video, the few extra bucks is worth it If you're considering moving up and wonder if it makes a difference, it does. I only moved to Lieutenant, so I can't attest to any of the higher tiers yet, but, baby steps LOL There are some things in this episode of the podcast that I would have missed if I didn't have the video - and it was another good one!

Ooh interesting, I’ve been considering putting myself up for promotion too but wondered if it was really worth it. Thanks for posting your “review “

I think it is funny that the episode is all about the danger of future technology getting in the hands of people that are not ready for it... and then Voyager keeps the holo-emitter.
