The Delta Flyers is a weekly Star Trek: Voyager rewatch and recap podcast hosted by Garrett Wang and Robert Duncan McNeill. Each week Garrett and Robert will rewatch an episode of Voyager starting at the very beginning. This week’s episode is Revulsion. Garrett and Robbie recap and discuss the episode, and share their insight as series regulars.

Revulsion:
Torres and the Doctor investigate a distress signal from a hologram on an alien craft; Ensign Kim and Seven of Nine become friends.

I wish they had talked about Tuvok getting promoted!

The thing about what Robbie does with his lips before taking a drink...he does that all the time! I've noticed it every time Tom takes a drink. It's like he opens his mouth way earlier than needed as the cup approaches. So funny that you mentioned it because I've wondered about that for a long time.

The funny thing about Leland Orser is that every role I'd ever seen him in - Alien 4, X-Files, Se7en, Very Bad Things - he was always the increasingly (or completely) unhinged tragic guy, so that's literally the only name I had for him whenever I saw him show up. I finally looked him up on IMDB, but to this day, 'oh it's Tragic Guy' is the first thought I have when I see him in something. EDIT: no shade, he whips ass as The Tragic Guy, dude's got it down to such an art form he practically deserves his own film just to showcase the range of devastation he has at his command.

OK, this was all great, but... do you trim your nose hairs?

I love the scene where Tuvok gets promoted, the scenes with Tom and Belanna and the ones with Harry and Seven. Great episode, great review!

I know you kind of answered this, but seriously, why did it take T&B THREE DAYS to talk about her deathbed confession?? That is completely ridiculous. They were beamed back together, could they not have discussed it right after they beamed back, or after the doc examined them or whatever? Anyway, this is one of my very favorite episodes of VOY and this ep of Delta Flyers was made even more special because I was able to listen to it with my college Trek buddy at her house halfway across the country from me. It's been 10 years since we've seen each other, and we made it a point to listen to this ep together today (and watch Revulsion last night).

I love that you connected with a Trek friend! This podcast has helped me connect with old and new Trek friends and it's wonderful. I think B'Elanna was nervous about what Tom would say. He didn't say it back and I think his shock took her by surprise and she wasn't sure he would reciprocate. Avoidance is her go-to tactic and she's avoided him after Blood Fever as well. I also think she's still somewhat afraid to be that open and vulnerable and now that they've survived, she isn't exactly sure where he stands and what he wants. So I didn't mind the three days comment, but it is always a bit weird.
