The Delta Flyers is a weekly Star Trek: Voyager rewatch & recap podcast hosted by Garrett Wang & Robert Duncan McNeill. Each week Garrett and Robert will rewatch an episode of Voyager starting at the very beginning. This week’s episode is Bliss. Garrett and Robbie recap and discuss the episode, and share their insight as series regulars.

Bliss:
After five years, the Voyager crew finally finds a wormhole that will bring it back to the Alpha Quadrant; Seven suspects there is something wrong with how quickly and easily the crew accepts the appearance of the phenomenon.

I think the reason Seven didn't have quarters is because she would have found them "irrelevant." I think she wanted to be in the cargo bay because it probably felt similar to what she was used to on a Borg ship.

You mention who the alien dragon slayer guy reminds you of and I wanted to say he always reminded me of Dog The Bounty Hunter lol

Sam O'Neill

Perfect timing for my morning run ☺️

They should make a show that is like Grey's Anatomy meets Star Trek with Dr. Hugh Culber in the 32nd century. I'd watch that 😆

Listening to the interview with Bill Prady really takes me back. I'm British. Back in spring 1998, my parents booked one last family holiday to the USA - LA and Vegas. I was almost 19, and the only Trek fan in my family. I was shocked to discover that there was a Star Trek Experience in Vegas at the same time we'd be there! I begged my parents, and thankfully they took me - the shuttlecraft ride, Quark's Bar and DS9's promenade, meeting a Klingon and a Ferengi - absolutely mind blowing for me! I still remember it so fondly, and loved hearing both Garrett and Bill praising it too. Thanks, guys!

I'm the same age as Bill Prady and became a Star Trek fan the same time/way he did! And we were born in the same city! Such a joy to hear him tell his story!

The music in this episode was great! They seemed to capture Naomi Wildman's emotions. I especially liked the rather playful part where she was sneaking around in the corridors.

Fan interaction: Captain Proton escape room! We'd love to cosplay

Elisabeth Westner

I would LOVE a Space Hospital show. That would be amazing.

Novi, Michigan??? I'm from Northville. Garrett you made my day!

That Star Trek Experience really was spectacular. How wild it would have been to bump into Garrett there, lol.

This episode has my favourite Tom Paris joke in the series, when Naomi in the shuttle complains that the away mission is boring, and says - Can't we make first contact, or fight a space battle? And Tom Paris turns around in the Pilot's chair towards Seven and says - Yeah, can't we? It is just so pitch perfect Tom Paris.

Another FANTASTIC set is the studio in which Star Trek Continues was shot in, Neutral Zone Studios in Kingsland GA - If anyone has contact for Bill Prady, he really should go there. And if you have not watched 'Continues' ... you're welcome!! https://neutralzonestudios.com/
