Tom was in command and in the chair back in "Initiations" during the mission to rescue Chakotay.

Andrew Murray

You'd think the borg would assimilate the method of walking not like a ...cyberman.

Andrew Murray

They didn't retrieve the crashed shuttle in "Muse" in fact I don't recall in any episode featuring a crashed shuttle any efforts to retrieve them (in any episode across the entire Trek franchise). There's also numerous eps where weapons are left behind or comm bades etc. See what happens when 20th century people get their hands on future tech (e.g. Future's End.) Remember in Star Trek IV, Chekov arrested by the navy, tries to use his phaser but it fails to fire, so he chucks it at one of the officers then runs out and gets injured jumping oonto the wharf. Kirk and co. plan a rescue. but technically, the 20th century Navy are still IN POSSESSION of a 23rd century Phaser and communicator......

Andrew Murray

If Harry was assimilated, and the borg gene allowing him to enter Unimatrix Zero, I think he' turn it into a Nightclub named "Quarks" and have a movie night on Fridays "the history of Starfleet" starting with reruns of "Enterprise".

Garrett, you should try decaffeinated coffee as normal coffee affects me badly too. In fact I have to drink decaffeinated tea as well.

Stephanie

Why would Tuvok be 3 of 12. Did he replace some other 3. Shouldn't he be 1 of 3?

Tashicat

Well its implied that they got everything back cause it was all on a table next to Chekov in the OR, i think Kirk himself grabs it all as McCoy is operating on Chekov.. However its the same mentality that had me saying "wtf" in Resolutions when Janeway tells the monkey "feel free to use the house"... like rly, youre not gonna take your sht with you? Then why pack it all back up in containers?! Lmao

Tashicat

Team tea represent!! I can't do coffee either, i have anxiety issues and it affects me in a negative way. Same with mtn dew. Even Pepsi be gettin to me some days. Sometimes i feel left out too but most of the time i see how coffee ppl act when inconvenienced about it, and im ok with being one of them. The best part is the smell anyway, which everyone can share equally. Ive been in jail n homeless shelters before n the way ppls whole mornings revolve around getting up to get more blows me away. I mean i like a morning soda, but i dont take it out on everyone around me if i can't get one. And then to add insult to injury, If they start acting like jackasses ur just sposta accept them not getting thier fix as a valid reason for them to be a jerk to you?! Thats selfish n entitled af, self control is a personal responsibility. I literally once brought a dude home who got offended that i didnt own a coffee pot n got all pissy about "whats he sposta do in the morning?!" (LEAVE, thats what lol) Like damn, Im sorry i didnt realize that bringing you in out of the snow for free didnt deserve to be appreciated because i didnt have your drug of choice waiting as well. i like to call em coffee crackheads, n theres plenty of videos online to validate why i can see the overlap in behaviors It was actually nice for me to hear someone else out there say they dont/cant handle coffee, made me feel less alone. Thx Garrett <3

Tashicat

Im guessing its kinda like how only B'Elanna had the subvocal processor, just because yall get assimilated together doesnt mean yall get assigned to the same work detail, new drones go where theyre needed most. So i would guess that yes he replaced a drone that was disassembled, perhaps one of the heads on a stick

Tashicat

I dont understand the mystery about Tuvok succumbing first, i thought it was always implied that Vulcans being telepathic made him more succeptible to Queenies manipulations

Nancy Lapierre

Nah, not a photo montages, a mix tape.

Mr Paris

Hey Robbie, think you bring up a good point about Chakotay needing a "thing" to make him more interesting and make him more of a featured character. I think he should have doubled as the ships counselor from time to time, because he had a kind of natural wisdom.

Dylan Maguire

The issue I always have when they piss off the Borg Queen is whats to stop her from sending 10 tactical cubes to destroy Voyager? They couldn't defend against that many

ST Fan CB

Again, every time there is a two part episode, there is a recap. Come on man. Regarding the movement of the Borg: Remember in TNG episodes Descent I and II that the Borg moved like normal humanoids when Hugh's individuality affected his cube and they became disconnect from the Borg. Clearly the the show creators made the Borg too powerful. At any time, they could have sent 50 cubes to earth or after Voyager and no amount of heroics could have saved them. So what kept the Queen from doing that? Why is Neelix on the bridge doing anything? Doesn't Voyager have trained Starfleet personnel to fill in for bridge crew on any missions? Let's bring the Borgybunch kids up to the bridge and give them jobs as well. This continuing idea of people on the bridge jumping stations and jobs is ridiculous. Kim would have stayed at his post and whoever Tuvok' s deputy is would have stood in for him at tactical. The Doctor could have used any of the 3 or 4 other unmanned bridge stations to do his job monitoring the away team. What kind of idiotic negotiating is the Borg Queen doing by saying "do what I want or I will destroy all my ships and drones"? I would say go ahead and kill them all, who cares? Be rid of a billion or more murderous evil enemies? Yes please. The Queen only stopped when the Borg came up with a new idea to kill all the free drones via the new virus but they stated that some 11 ships had been destroyed plus the tactical one at the end. That's good stuff right there, don't care who you are! How does a Borg ship patrol the border of Fluidic Space? Fluidic Space is essentially another dimension and not physically present in our dimension except through a temporary portal in which you can access Fluidic Space anywhere. There is no border. Tom Paris would have made the whiniest drone ever. The Queen would have deactivated him just to stop the complaining. Tom Paris is to Han Solo as Pee Wee Herman is to the Marlboro Man.

S Myran

The question that comes to mind, ST Fan CB, is why are you here?

Luise

Always thought that, too! Less "Acoochemoya", more actual empathy. Plus, it fits with the role as First Officer.

Jen V

Garrett never answered the question about his promotion chances if he had been assimilated as a Borg! I think he would have been because the Queen liked him 😆👍🏻

SnazzyO

Part 2 was well done technically but a couple of plot holes bugged me. Starting off with the ‘yay!’: - Putting yourself in the other person’s shoes was a theme mentioned at the end by Janeway. I thought the little conflict between Chakotay and Paris was a nice parallel to that with Chakotay getting to feel what it’s like when his ‘First Officer’ provides a real challenge. I wish Tom hadn’t smarted off as much because that hurt his case. But hopefully he took that part of Chakotay’s reprimand to heart. Yay for all the visual effects I LOVED the Klingon Borg takeover. I’d love to see that ship again. The Queen visiting Unimatric Zero was effectively creepy. Bothered me: - Science McScience rationale for Janeway/Torres/Tuvok retaining self identity. That broke cannon too much. They needed more technobabble there to explain why it was viable. - Seven and Arum, meh-kay. They didn’t service that relationship well with the artificial conflict in Part 1. Hard to recover in Part 2 Good epic episode. Some plot hole issues.

Dee McGee

I wonder what kind of tea he drinks. We know Picard drinks Earl Gray 🍵
