I think it's sort of worse than that though: I'd never say she cares about Palestinians because, well, 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴, but it does seem to me to be a conscious tactic to assure her steadily contracting Democrat base that "those people are just as bad as Republicans". I'm not even sure it could be called bad strategy, because I'm thinking they're thinking Trump will win and they're ready to fund raise off of that, but maybe they're also ready to actively start selling off the rest of the base that aren't already millionaires - because there's probably enough millionaires to keep everyone in congress rich. And, at the end of the day millionaires will never really care about human rights or however quick the coming slide towards fascism ends up being - they aren't really affected by those things - and if they did honestly care about things like that, most of them probably wouldn't have ended up millionaires. Even the most liberal millionaires will just continue to blame republicans for however bad things get, regardless of how little Democrats actually do.

A few stray thoughts on this Pelosi thing. 1. Another case of actual corruption being wide open and conspiracy theorizing being the product of a blind spot towards sufficiently metabolized corruption. The ADL and the various groups that make up the "Israel Lobby" have as a core mission the maintenance of compliance with Israel's state project via campaign donations (with outsized funding for challengers to anyone breaking ranks as the more savage edge to this strategy). This is a matter of public record and is open corruption. But the Speaker of the House has no problem stating without evidence that the only reason that anyone would oppose this genocidal state project is because they are under the influence of or are directly paid by Russian agents. No wait Chinese! Wait, which one was it? Maybe a shadowy cabal of Russo-Chinese saboteurs? 3. I can understand and even engage in projecting these nefarious conspiracies on people in actual power. But then I remind myself that maintaining a conspiracy in secrecy is generally difficult and search for simpler explanations. The fact that a person in actual power would try to turn this mindset around on us is insane. Has it ever struck her that people just don't like genocide?
