As the Dragonsbane was undoubtedly ravaging through Aisha’s system, she nevertheless soldiered through, and before Jake had the chance to land any attacks, she made her move instead. He felt his poison do its job, but that still didn’t stop her as Aisha spread her wings and three words echoed that for some reason made a shiver run down his spine.

“Grace of Gold.”

The golden veil that had been closing in around them exploded silently, turning into countless motes of golden dust that started raining down upon the world. At the same time, Jake saw runes light up on every single one of Aisha’s scales, making her look like a glowing statue.

To his shock, he also felt that the Dragonsbane was being suppressed by an overwhelming power that didn’t even seem to belong to the True Dragon herself. It was as if all his control and ownership over his toxins had been sealed away, and as the golden motes of light got closer to him and entered his Pride domain, he also got a taste of their true nature.

How is that-

Before Jake could finish his thought, Aisha moved. She appeared in front of him instantly, far faster than before, barely giving him time to dodge. Twisting his body, Jake avoided the blow; at least he thought he did, but his danger sense didn’t subside, and a second blast of golden energy echoed after the slash as a golden claw appeared, slightly larger than the first hit, but following the same movement.

It scratched Jake right before fading away as a second real claw descended upon him from Aisha, this one also echoing in the same way. Dodging one attack was already hard enough, and while it didn’t sound hard to dodge the second echo if it was just a slightly larger version of the first blow, that wasn’t the case when one considered the overlaps.

Aisha unleashed a barrage of blows, golden echoes following every single one of them, overlapping and passing through one another and even Aisha’s own body, while absolutely being capable of tearing into Jake should they strike him. Jake retreated repeatedly, forcing him through the golden motes that each consumed a lot of his energy due to Pride, but allowing them to touch him also wasn’t an option due to what they were. It sounded almost preposterous to imagine, but if he was right, every single golden mote was a soul.

The soul of a True Dragon.

It truly didn’t make any sense, but they definitely felt like souls. Not Truesouls, but the remnant souls sometimes left behind after someone's death, and their Truesoul went wherever Truesouls go. Perhaps calling them remnants of will or something like that was more accurate, but the point remained that every single one of them was a small fragment of incredible willpower that Jake really didn’t want to touch.

Clearly, Aisha didn’t need to fear this, as rather than avoid the motes, she gladly moved through them, and upon touching one, it entered her body and caused a small response as the golden glow on her body shimmered, absorbing the mote from the looks of it.

It didn’t make her stronger to absorb them, but it did allow her to keep momentum as Jake was repeatedly forced back, and despite his best efforts, he failed to avoid every blow as his armor that had been repaired after his fight with the Chosen of the Heartsoul Daolord was once more entirely ruined.

Counterattacking wasn’t even an option, and it didn’t look good for Jake, but despite the circumstances, he didn’t panic but stayed fully focused on his opponent. He did slowly get better at dodging, but even if he didn’t, he could clearly feel whatever was suppressing the Dragonsbane ever-so-slowly lose its hold.

Time was on his side, assuming he didn’t come out of this in a too horrible state. Granted, he did want to see all that Aisha was capable of. He had fought True Dragons before after evolving to B-grade, but all of them had been rather disappointing. This was the first time he encountered one that felt like a proper apex predator of the multiverse.

In sheer physicality, Jake didn’t stand a chance, and that was despite her effectively being a Willpower-based mage. One reason for her incredible physical prowess was enhancement magic. Buffs she applied to herself to increase her power, in many ways akin to boosting magic, but not entirely the same.

Still, it wasn’t enough, and as Jake got better at reading her movements, he also stopped taking as much damage as before. Soon, she entirely missed two dozen blows in a row, Jake’s ability to adapt certainly surpassing all her expectations. Aisha was burning through energy while Jake remained relatively calm, despite looking by now like he’d taken roughly equal damage to her.

As a genius in her own right, Aisha naturally realized that despite pushing herself, she was slowly losing momentum, making her adapt her strategy as well. The golden glow enveloping her body grew to form what looked like a projection of her entire being, roughly twice her normal size.

This far larger dragon suddenly shot forward and separated from Aisha’s body, moving like its own entity. Jake was taken aback and dodged its first attack, but Aisha herself followed up by flying to his side and unfolding her wings as a dozen beams of golden energy blasted towards him.

One of them strafed him, burning into his scales and making Jake take a small scratch from the large projected dragon, which he only now realized didn’t actually look entirely the same as Aisha herself. It looked older in ways Jake couldn’t quite tell, as he wasn’t that familiar with how dragons aged.

This seemingly older dragon also attacked with a slightly different pattern than Aisha herself, which threw Jake off initially and allowed the real True Dragon to strafe around him and shoot her magic. She didn’t attack herself, making Jake guess that this golden projection wouldn’t simply phase through her like before, making Jake attempt to adapt by moving to put the summoned dragon between himself and Aisha...

Only to learn that while she maybe couldn’t move through the projection herself, her magic sure could. Jake took a nasty bolt to his shoulder, blasting off his scales and leaving a flesh wound with golden veins around it, dealing further damage.

Despite having fought for so long, he still wasn’t entirely clear what exactly the Regalflight was all about. It was clearly some Willpower-based magic, and the golden energy also seemed to directly attack Jake’s own Willpower somehow. He felt that in the area he had been struck, his energy moved more sluggishly, as if the golden energy attempted to take control of him. Well, at least his energy.

Unfortunately for Aisha, her golden energy seemed to meet a tough opponent when Jake’s arcane energy encountered it. The two fought only briefly before the golden energy was destroyed entirely, as if having met its nemesis. He didn’t see any reaction from Aisha, but he did start to realize that some of the spells she threw his way were far more dangerous than others.

Between his scales and arcane energy seemingly countering the golden energy somehow, Jake stopped dodging some spells, allowing him to far more easily avoid the giant golden dragon that was trying to smash him to pieces. That one he still didn’t want to get hit by, as its swipes did nothing fancy but just sought to turn him into shredded meat.

Like so, about half a minute passed with Jake akin to a living shadow, dodging in seemingly impossible ways to avoid the blows of the massive dragon while only taking the magical attacks he willingly absorbed. He had taken damage from the golden dragon and magic, but nothing serious for a good while.

With momentum shifting yet again and Aisha continuing to burn through energy, barely able to keep the Dragonsbane locked down at this point, she changed her strategy one more time. Clearly, she wouldn't enjoy the grace of gold much longer, as it was evident her next shift-up would be the last, but she still wanted to take advantage of every second.

Just after dodging the large golden dragon, it exploded right in Jake’s face, turning into thousands of golden motes of energy that joined all the other ones still floating everywhere. Aisha had stopped at this point, her entire body glowing with energy as behind her, a single giant rune appeared, and just by looking at it, Jake felt a compulsion to bow his head in respect. He naturally didn’t, but the simple fact that it had that kind of power made him certain something big was coming.

All the motes floating in the air started gathering around Jake like meteors orbiting a planet. They were just outside his Pride range, and Jake prepared himself should all of them implode towards him. However, rather than attack, the motes instead started merging, and after a few moments, a golden shroud akin to the one that had been draped over the battlefield earlier formed.

Jake frowned, unsure what would happen as the rune behind Aisha started glowing, and in response, the golden cloth grew almost fully corporeal. Deciding he probably shouldn’t just sit still and watch what was going to happen – despite it being super interesting – Jake used One Step to get away and create some distance. He didn’t get far, though, as after only teleporting once, Aisha spoke yet again.

“Golden Seal.”

The thin golden cloth immediately flew towards Jake and wrapped around his body with speed so fast Jake wouldn’t have been able to dodge unless Moment of the Primal Hunter had activated. When the cloth wrapped around him, it instantly merged into his body, making golden runes appear, all while seemingly entirely ignoring the presence of Pride.

Immediately, Jake felt a sense of weakness flood his body as his energy turned sluggish. His boosting skill felt on the verge of deactivating, and he started to wonder if he should even be fighting right now. It seemed pointless to battle within a simulated world, and all Jake was doing was exerting himself. For what, a level at most, even if he somehow won? Yeah, best to just not bother and...

Yeah, those aren’t really my thoughts.

Jake cut through the bullshit as all sorts of ideas of surrender and a general lack of desire to do anything flooded his soul. It was as if the very concept of Willpower had been partly seized, and everything just seemed pointless, making him not want to do anything at all. A truly insidious kind of magic of incredible power, and all performed not as the main attack itself, but just to buy a little time.

Because while Jake was being wrapped by the odd cloth and had his willpower suppressed, the True Dragon deeply inhaled as power gathered in her gullet. Immense power that would usually make Jake react instantly, but in this instance, he didn’t outwardly do anything immediately. Instead, he stared listlessly into nothingness as a couple of seconds passed.

He stopped himself from turning his head and looking, but even without seeing it, he could feel the absolutely monstrous amount of mana gathered, and the damage his Dragonsbane was doing throughout it all, as after using that sealing ability, whatever enhancement she’d used on herself had fully expired.

Another second later, Jake felt his danger sense explode with a warning of what would soon come, making him finally react. In the same instant that the Dragon’s Breath was unleashed, a second version of Jake emerged from his body and rapidly dodged to the side. Jake, in turn, fueled all his power into breaking the seal on him as his body exploded with arcane energy.

At the same time, he turned his head as his vision was filled with a torrent of golden flames. Not a beam of golden energy as he’d honestly expected, but just potent golden fire, making it actually look like a traditional Dragon’s Breath. It was coming straight for him, but before it could hit, he broke the seal and switched places with his Eternal Shadow, allowing his other self to experience the flames instead.

Interestingly enough, Jake felt a momentary tinge of resistance before switching places with his shadow. It didn’t cause any delay or do anything; he just got the vague idea that his Eternal Shadow wasn’t fully on board. Kind of understandably, seeing what happened next.

The golden flames washed over his Eternal Shadow, and immediately he felt his connection to it be cut off as the shadow dispersed. The Dragon’s Breath continued as it momentarily filled the sky, and even from afar, Jake felt a sense of danger from those flames. They clearly burned everything they encountered, but he knew it was more than just that. It felt as if everything it touched lost something, and before his shadow died, he felt that it wasn’t simply due to taking damage, but something more. As if those flames also removed the very concept of willpower, extending even to breaking down the fundamental connection between the body and one’s mind.

A small part of Jake wanted to actually be hit by it to see if he could survive it given its odd nature, but he was fairly sure that even without that part of the Dragon’s Breath, the pure damage of the golden flames would burn him to a crisp, and the suppression of Willpower was more there to weaken the target than be the main killer. Yeah, the more he thought about it, the more he felt certain that surviving those flames would be a serious struggle.

Having seen enough, Jake took out his bow and quickly cracked his neck as the flames subsided, and a heavily breathing Aisha looked his way. He could see a hint of tiredness in her eyes, yet she didn’t seem keen to give up despite having all her strategies thus far thwarted. That last combo attack by sealing him into a Dragon’s Breath would definitely have killed most other low-tier B-grades, but Jake was just a horrible target for her.

Not only had he just gotten his Pride of the Malefic Viper upgraded, granting him increased resistance to Willpower-based attacks, but his arcane affinity also seemed disproportionately effective against her magic. Finally, his mentality was just too damn driven by instinct to have something silly like thinking affect him detrimentally. His survival instinct would always take precedence.

Having weathered the storm, so to speak, Jake was the next to make an offensive move as he nocked an arrow and started charging an Arcane Powershot with the intent of forcing a reply from Aisha. She indeed reacted, gritting her teeth through the pain of the Dragonsbane as she shot a large bolt of golden lightning his way.

Jake didn’t even move to dodge but focused on Pride as he kept charging his shot. The bolt entered the range of Pride, and while it wasn’t easy, Jake managed to weaken it enough so that it barely did anything when it struck him. Aisha prepared to do more, but she was clearly weakened after unleashing her Dragon’s Breath, so all she could do was try to muster some kind of defense as Jake loosed the string and sent the Arcane Powershot roaring forth.

Her defenses were pierced rather easily as Jake directly blew off one of her wings, sending Aisha spinning through the air, blood trailing her quick descent toward the ground.

Nocking another arrow, Jake watched her fall as it was his turn to claim momentum and go on the offensive, willing to finish the fight from here, but secretly hoping she had at least one more interesting thing to show him.

Thanks for the chapter. Looking forward to ending this week on a high note tomorrow. Minor edit suggestion: Nocking another arrow, Jake watcher (watched her) fall as it was his turn to claim momentum

Read that again, „ ….after evolving to B grade, …“ I don’t know English comma rules that good, but my German brain would make a comma between before and after He fought dragons during the event, some were chasing sandy and jasper bevor Jake put them down for them. As one example.

djthomp

Completely understandable that SimJake would not want to experience that dragon's breath. I wonder if the Golden Willpower magic Aisha has been doing is related to the GFK's Gold powers. I think we've seen him summon a giant golden claw recently and that does seem pretty similar.

Sammot

Come on aishal! at least force jake into using moment!

Tomer Yud

poor Shadow Jake

Lemonsqueezy

As this arc progresses I am getting more convinced that Jake is going to have to repair or he is going to lose his shadow.

zran

Lets hope this repeated abuse causes the skill to evolve into something what grants shadow jake some modicum of will instead of the near null will it has currently

BumAssBumAss

Eternal shadow also couldn't completely negate the damage from ell'hakan's sun down. The upgrade path of eternal shadow may use more of its simulation records to ensure that eternal shadow can negate all damage through the concept of simulation

Tr0LLach

It's poorly written but it is correct. He fought True Dragons before, after evolving to B-grade.

Nakyen

Other Dragons in this event. KEYWORDS "after evolving to B grade"

zran

Geez, you dislike slavery jake, yet you treat your own shadow like a slave, give some rights to poor simjake!, i am sure he is starving and might whant to drink a few beers as well!, reward his sacrifices instead of apologice to him

Ritsu

He fought those two True Dragons that Sandy and Jasper pissed off with the massive horde outside the Palace of Abundance

Blake Eller

It's not prior to B grade, it's just awkwardly phrased. He fought other True Dragons here in the simulation, though the one that was chasing jasper and sandy is the only one i recall right now

definitelynotbrjenness

Called it. 100%. Aisha's breath was golden, just like I said. I wonder if my post was inspiration to Zog to make her breath golden? Probably, I doubt any one else would think of giving a golden dragon golden breath. On a more serious note, anyone else think her strat is mental attacks to make you less fearful of golden motes that end up being afflictions / curses? I was getting Asano vibes at times and Jake has seemed a little weird.

Ritsu

I never realized until now that Jake's fighting style really is good for coaxing out everything his opponents can do. His schtick is one big strike, and if that's not enough, playing keep away with his OP instincts while poison and depleting resources force his enemies in desperation. His biggest trump cards aren't just big finisher attacks like Event Horizon, but Eternal Shadow and Moment let him survive his enemies trump cards.

Josie

Jake embraces that he is a smooth brain. No lumps, no bumps. Not one thought in his lil Primal head.

Remify

My bet is on the Shadow staying in the wonder since both are virtual environment

Lemonsqueezy

The Shadow might be acting up because it is in a simulated environment. This might give Jake the ability to effectively have two independent fighters like he had when he was first merging with Shadow Jake. I like your idea of Shadow Jake staying in the wonder. The ability is quite OP, but Jake is just OP to begin with. That is the satus quo of LitRPGs and Isekai stories.

Tyler S.

I was thinking of an upgrade where he looses the ablity to switch positions but the shadow lasts much longer and has its own instictual will

Jennifer Leigh

I would assume so. Remember, they had it out for each other in the town phase.

Tribal

This definitely feels like Jake training in the most Jake way possible. Unless Zogarth drags it out.... Fight is over next chapter. I hope anyways. Aisha isn't much of a fighter in Jake's mind.

R Mac

Good call. The motes of light haven’t really come into play yet. It would be interesting if she’s basically an angelic Jason asano lol

The First Sage

I'm sensing a jake vs shadow foreshadowing

“Grace of Gold”, “Golden Seal”… Are these sneaky Elden Ring references? 😁

This fight seems easier than the heartsoul daolord and Aisha said she’s stronger. My bet is she still has plenty to show Jake. Plus we need a Friday cliffhanger.

Yeah it's kind of annoying in an event like this where he shouldn't be wasting his resources.

Sylphie

Jeez I hope there is one Administrator left when those two are done with each other, otherwise we will be reading about this simulation till November

TFTC :) Not got all the way through the chapter yet but heres hoping EH can absorb the motes since EH likes soul energy :D Heres hoping SimJake and ES get a beach vacation after this cuz our shadowy boy has been taking more and more of a beating as we go up in grades. Was Jake not shooting at Aisha during all of this? He didnt seem to attack until the last paragraph or 2. When did Jake fight a true dragon in B grade? Dont recall one on Venus and the ones in the antechamber died to someone else. Where else has he been? Suggested edits: " was *no doubt* ravaging through " should be "undoubtedly" "Jake saw *scales* light up on every single one of Aisha’s *scales*," this doesnt sound right. Not sure what you mean so I cant really suggest anything. Maybe runes? patterns? sparkles? really dont know. "had been *robbed away*," should be "taken away" or maybe "seized" "after the *clash* as a golden" should be "slash" since , by dodging, Jake avoided the clash. "away as a *second* claw descended upon him" should be "third" since there was the initial attack a second that followed and then this. "while ** absolutely tearing into Jake *should they strike* him" missing words "capable of" or the end should be "when they struck" "this too ** worse-for-wear" for the idiom the words "much the" are missing. "One reason for her incredible physical prowess, such as what she was currently displaying, was enhancement magic." awkward phrasing should be more like "One reason for the incredible physical prowess she was currently displaying was enhancement magic." "like a projection of her *entire body*," repetitive. Maybe "form" instead. "Jake *get* a small scratch from" should be "take" "which *only now he* realized" should be "he only now" "Clearly, she *didn’t* enjoy the grace of gold much longer" from context, should be "wouldn't" "*Right* after dodging the large golden dragon, it exploded *right* in Jake’s face" repetitive. Chang ethe first to "Just" "weakness flood *his body* as his energy turned sluggish throughout *his body*." repetitive. Change the first to "him" or maybe end the sentence at "sluggish" "over his *Internal* Shadow" should be "Eternal"

Lemonsqueezy

That is how it was in the beginning and was upgraded to what it is now. In the beginning they couldn't switch and were two separate people fighting together in a sense. Jake merged it, and the shadow lost it individuallity but enabled Jake to fully control and switch with it. So bringing it back would kind of be a downgrade. I think we will get both. Seperate in a simulated world or dungeon, and combined in the real world. Or maybe Jake can just choose which one he wants. We might also get a situation where Jake just loses it. Lastly we might just have them separate for this arc where shadow Jake helps him defeat the Eastbound Monk and/or the Sword Saint. Then they talk to each other and shadow Jake helps to upgrade the ability.

Cyranosaurus

Zog, indirect response to your Discord message of the day🤣 I would take it as a compliment, I think what started out as a fight heavy story built such a good story arc, and such compelling characters that people are eager to see the next part of the story unfold, and it has spread beyond the standard LitRPG reading crowd into mainstream fantasy fiction in many ways. Thank you for sharing this story!!

I'm more a fan of moving the skill in the direction of the shadow hits that happen in shadow of mordor. But having a separate body that is autonomous could be useful while jake isn't capable of making avatars like the gods can

C0bra$

Thank u for the story

The Art of Pedantry

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to seeing Eternal Shadow grow into something more. I wonder if it will end up growing into some sort of limited cloning ability that perhaps makes use of the power of Eternal Hunger, thus perhaps enabling Jake to further extend his control over it and further lessen the risk of keeping it part of himself. Of course the downside would likely be the number of clones he could make would depend on the strength of eternal hunger and being eternal hunger he'd have to keep it fed manually instead of it being a naturally recharging ability.

The Art of Pedantry

Considering the other dragon's area denial paired with breath, I'm sure Aishal hasn't shown us everything yet. Looking forward to what she has in store next!

Josh Hackney

Yeah, I feel like its upgrade is going to give some freedom of choice and able to act independently. Closer to a true simulacrum. Would be dope

Blake N.

It seems like we’re definitely leading up to that

Staudi

He fought the dragons that Jasper and Sandy had stolen from in the first big group after he met up with them.

Botond Nyitrai

Can't not feel lile that everyone else just has cooler powers than Jake ngl. Aisha had very unique spells, the Heartsoul girl had a literal domain expansion, the Sword Saint manipulates time and seaons. Compared to that it's funny how Jake always comes out on top just bcs of shooting arrows with poison on them.

Stephen

People complaining about the fight scenes are crazy

The Art of Pedantry

To be fair to real Jake, he didn't want Sim Jake to be absorbed, but eventually had to come to terms with the situation. So I could definitely see Real Jake pursuing a route that gives Sim Jake more presence and autonomy perhaps. Maybe the ability to separate for longer when they want, maybe even with Sim Jake having near complete autonomy (with Real Jake having almost no awareness of what Sim Jake is experiencing), and then when they recombine they share what they learn with each other again like before except this time it's focused on teaching each other new lessons instead of what they each already know. Wherever Zogarth takes it, I'm excited to see it!

definitelynotbrjenness

Shadow saw jake wanted him to stand there and was like, "wtf? why not dodge in opposite direction?"

robert o sparrow

Jake’s 100% gonna be inspired by the summoned dragon and evolve eternal shadow

Thanks Zogarth Great fight and I’m excited to read how Sim Jake and Jake have a conversation

shadow creates domain of simulation and can use zero sugar jake juice to defeat attacks aimed at it.

Bookreader97

Is it just me, or is it odd that Jake’s the only one in the final 10 with a bloodline?

Owen Kaz

It is very interesting to see the start of the Shadow forming it's own Will. Perhaps that will be the upgrade it gets? I can imagine it would make it far more useful for real attacks instead of feints and dodging

John Durrett

Now its Jakes turn after all of her "Golden" moments to return it in kind. Watching her fall, he unleashes "Golden Shower" and sends splitting streams of arrows down over the entire area.

Jamaal Hill

When Jake first got the skill, both he and his shadow would attack snappy in different ways (one in melee and one at range) but now Jake just uses the shadow as a tank. Maybe if it regains will or instinct, they'll go back to tag teaming enemies.

Jamaal Hill

We know it's been teased throughout grades that Jake has some crazy affinity for time and space magic. I think his cool powers are coming, like those he demonstrated against Valdemar in the coliseum of mortals.

Heelstoo

That we know of.

catacendre

When you said strafed did you mean flanked?

definitelynotbrjenness

yeah, i'm thinking back then he let the shadow make choices and it is now getting frustrated by jake limiting its options all the time. LET SIM JAKE COOK! then figure out a way to make him last longer. Use curse to tank and absorb energy, use shadow jake as alternative attacker.

InfernoDroid

Prediction: fight ends tomorrow, dialog happens as Aishal is somehow able to chat as she dies, then right before the end of the chapter another admin shows up for the cliffhanger. (Alternative, other admin interrupts fight)

definitelynotbrjenness

second benevolent monk fight ends with him calling jake harbinger and mentioning the lord you will come to know. Eron and daolord confirmed as related to mystery faction?

ABTelford

Fantastic fighting chapter! It does make me feel that Jake is lacking in offensive power though. Also his attacks seems pretty…simple in comparison to all the fancy stuff he’s been facing lately. Which fits him actually, lol! And wow, author man, your creativity in coming up with all these diff characters magic and Oaths is awesome!!! Thx!💛

2026-09-05 04:00 Alright! So after reading this chapter the first thing I noticed was eternal shadow is acting funny? Kinda cool, here's hoping he becomes more sentient. 🙏 I love the way dog writes Jake's thought process when hes effected by mental skills lol 😆 shit is funny to read and we all know jake well enough to notice it even though it kinda throws me off at first until I'm like "Wha..? Ohhhhh Mind fuckery....got it lol🤣"

I also have a feeling Eternal shadow is going to become something like Shade in he who fights with monsters, he would become more of a summon or familiar for jake. I just hope he has his old personality and memories from before he became eternal shadow.

UNKNOWN

More aerodynamic that way.

definitelynotbrjenness

in a few thousands of years when Jake is a godking, he'll have some random god holler, "purple poker of death" and turn to realize it is someone he fought in the colliseum in nevermore.

Imagine a book about Valdimar. The only thing that guy can do in a fight is swing an axe.

Bruce K

Maybe it's a precursor to having a genuine avatar like the gods.

Jordan Rogers

Got a feeling Jake doesn’t want to expose some of his abilities in this place since it’s not for keeps no reason to give away the goods?🤷

Gh0st-Hunt3r

Also it's not unreasonable to think when jake reaches a point where he can have avatars, sim jake could be one. Or even further if hake used some unique item as a catalyst along with his Jake Juice he might be able to create an avatar to then transplant sim-Jake into after all the "Origin" of Eternal Shadow is simjake so ... 😉 ofcourse he can't Seperate eternal Shadow from him cuz then he would lose the Skill attached to it or even lose his curse weapon because I believe eternal Shadow is connected to the cursed weapon in some way 🤔

Gh0st-Hunt3r

Yes Sylphie, Obviously Jake is gonna win.

Sospin

Unlikely but cool if Shadow Jake ends up detaching and remaining in the World Wonder, similar to a bound god. What rating would that skill have.

Ty Cooper

I am looking forward to see what sim-Jake does for the upgrade. I think sim-Jake keeps looking at Jake because those are not the choices he would make. Its like sim-Jake is disappointed in Jake for using him as a damage receiver. He would not make those choices.

SmokeJam

That is simply not true. He used eternal shadow to attack the Rainbowfeather sovereign back in PoL hunting grounds and a few times here and there. And just the opening attack of this fight was a shadow charging power shot. So no, he is definitely not using it just as a tank, even if that is its primary function until now.

Gh0st-Hunt3r

Or gain another skill called [Eternal Shadow Of The Primeval Dragon] Upon activation, summons a massive, mythical shadow dragon made of the concept of pure desolation Energy. This entity exists as pure shadow and desolation. Dragons Breath Of Pure Desolation: unleashes a devastating torrent of condensed Pure Desolation. This breath does not simply inflict elemental damage; it ravages the target's physical body, mana, and the very fabric of their Records, turning everything in its path to absolute nothingness.

Edit suggestion: The golden flames washed over his [E]ternal Shadow, and immediately he felt his connection to it be cut off as the shadow dispersed he nocked an arrow and started charging [a]n Arcane Powershot

Bets on wether we get to see end of fight today, or a random view point from the other contestants, or elsewhere feels like we’re due for a decent zogarth troll it is Friday..

It is most likely gonna be other povs until its maybe 3 left

I mean, if there were some big breakthroughs in his growth from this then it makes a lot more sense, but I feel ya it’s been rapid fire non stop fight scenes and not a lot of plot development. Been at the same point in the plot for weeks now

Ehh, imo that's one of the thing that makes Primal Hunter so great. We can go an entire book with barely a fight scene, then we can go weeks and weeks with constant fighting. I mean the seat of the exalted prima has been talked about for ages and ages, it makes sense (to me) that lots of fighting is needed once it starts thus bringing slower plot movement for some time.

God I really hope we don't have some sim jake arc again. No offense but I absolutely hate when stories do that clone crap

Idk, this fight in particular just feels a little boring and kind of a waste of time. I’m ready for this whole prima event to be done already. It’s been what, like 7 books? And now the emperor said it’s basically just beginning 🫩 come on. Time for the next thing already
