The shift was instant and brutal as Aisha went from being the aggressor to the hunted. Within a dozen seconds, she had more than ten arrows sticking out of her body, leading to even more Dragonsbane entering her system. The toxin was already taking a toll, and Aisha felt a sense of exhaustion, though she was quickly shaken back to being fully aware by the extreme pain whenever she used any magic.

Aisha knew by now that despite having assumed the Chosen of the Malefic Viper was powerful, she had somehow still underestimated him. Yet in other ways, perhaps also overestimated him?

She’d already known his fighting style was simple, but this went beyond expectations. Usually, geniuses like them had very flashy magic and huge attacks to unleash. She and the Chosen of the Heartsoul Daolord had often compared the sheer scale of control they could impose upon the world, leading to brilliant displays of power.

Yet the Chosen of the Malefic One was so much simpler. His regular arrows weren’t particularly powerful, though they did fly incredibly fast and unpredictably, making them difficult to dodge or block. Occasionally, a far more potent Powershot was mixed in, which actually dealt devastating damage.

Then there was the poison, courtesy of his Legacy as the Chosen of the best alchemist in the multiverse. Aisha had come prepared, having expected him to have a variant of Dragonsbane or at least something similar, yet again she’d underestimated him. The antidote had done its job temporarily, but clearly it had failed to eliminate all the toxins from that initial disgustingly powerful attack.

Defensively, things were even weirder. The Chosen wasn’t very durable, though he did have multiple defensive skills that were clearly powerful. However, compared to someone like Aisha herself, he truly was feeble. Then again, that wasn’t overly surprising, seeing as he was human. All humans, outside of rare variants or those with special Paths like the Runemaiden, were not considered very durable.

So, defensively and offensively, he didn’t stand out too much. He didn’t have super complex and hard-to-deal-with attacks either. No mind-bending illusions or attacks with incredibly high-level concepts. Well, alright, that clone of his he’d summoned was beyond her understanding, but that was it, based on what she’d seen so far.

The only truly outstanding thing that Aisha couldn’t even begin to understand was his ability to avoid attacks. She’d never seen anyone that mobile, that capable of reading the flow of magic to dodge everything sent his way. It was uncanny, as if he could see the future. Even so, being able to dodge perfectly shouldn’t be enough to be considered perhaps the strongest of his generation.

But when Aisha thought about it, she also couldn’t point out any particular weaknesses. He had dealt with everything she’d thrown at him so far, having even nullified the Golden Seal and her Dragon’s Breath combo that she’d used to kill the person set to be the next Chosen of Umbra, who the Court of Shadows had no doubt expected would have made it to this stage of the event.

Also, while his offense wasn’t extreme, it was more than enough, as evidenced by how haggard her body was. He was also clearly not exhausted himself despite having taken plenty of hits, and even if Aisha had landed a lot of blows, he seemingly wasn’t affected at all.

In many ways, Aisha found it odd. Usually, when she fought others, it would be an exchange of their best skills. Trump cards thrown out one after another. The Chosen instead seemed to patiently await all her attacks, handled them, and then went on the offensive to force her to show what more she could do.

It was only then that she understood. His way of fighting hadn’t made much sense to her till now, but it did start to when she considered... what if he’d never even once thought he would lose? What if he’d battled with absolute confidence that no matter what, he would come out the victor? Was that also why he’d accepted a bet they all truthfully knew only favored the Dragonflights?

In truth, when Aisha had first proposed it, she hadn’t expected him to agree so easily. She’d thought he would counter to demand more from the Dragonflights, perhaps valuable alchemical ingredients or other materials related to True Dragons that they kept heavily regulated. He could have asked for so many things, yet he’d accepted such a lopsided bet.

At first, Aisha had thought maybe he just hadn’t considered countering for some odd reason, but that also didn’t make any sense. He was the Chosen of the Malefic Viper, a being who always knew how to take advantage of any situation, so wouldn’t his Chosen be the same? The notion that the thought of countering hadn’t crossed his mind was preposterous, but now Aisha believed she knew why he hadn’t.

Wasn’t it effectively an act of mercy? He never even once believed he could lose, so asking for more in the scenario he won would just be demanding additional resources with no downsides. The Chosen had humored her and at least given some face to the Regalflight by not asking for more in a bet he’d already won in his own mind.

If that were the case, his actions made sense. It also made sense why she hadn’t seen his strongest skills, including those one could consider fancy or complex. Had she even proven herself worthy yet?

Having to even ask herself that was honestly embarrassing, but she couldn’t help it considering she was currently desperately trying to block or dodge the constant rain of arrows coming her way while throwing out the occasional attack to buy herself some reprieve. Recovering from the Grace of Gold would take him, but Aisha doubted she would get the chance. She was weakening, and while she’d tried to hide it, she had to admit that things had gone awry from that very first arrow.

She didn’t call its damage ludicrously powerful for no reason. It had shaved off nearly a third of her entire health pool in sheer damage, and that wasn’t even including the festering wound she had been unable to heal throughout the fight. That one arrow had made her situation incredibly precarious right from the get-go, and honestly, she wasn’t sure she ever had a chance to close the gap.

Aisha had entered this fight knowing her chances of victory were slim; meanwhile, her opponent had never even considered her someone capable of killing him. Perhaps it wasn’t consciously done, but he was pretty much just playing with his prey, curiously trying to learn from her and improve himself from the experience. Perhaps that was how he treated all his opponents... which would explain a lot and made her think he was holding back. Again, likely not even on purpose.

No matter what, Aisha found it frustrating, and as she was being pushed back, she decided that just as the Chosen had made her show what she could do, she would also push him to use his most powerful trump cards.

Despite the pain of the Dragonsbane and her damaged state, she did something she knew would lead to her demise. Even if she survived, she would find herself weakened for years, but at this point, it was a matter of pride.

With arrows approaching, Aisha felt her own heartbeat suddenly speed up, and through the hole in her body, the golden glow of her heart could faintly be seen as the True Dragon spoke and made her promise.

“Golden Vow.”

A promise to herself, the souls of her ancestors, the Regalflight, and the very concept of True Dragons. Her own heart responded, letting out a heartbeat loud enough to echo throughout the virtual world as power surged from within.

Letting out a roar, Aisha spread out her single remaining wing as a second wing of pure golden energy emerged on her other side, and at the same time, millions of golden motes of light exploded out of her body.

Magic, unlike anything she’d unleashed before, manifested all around her, and the arrows still in flight were destroyed by the sheer pressure of energy emanating from her body. Untold levels of mana were expended every second, but from seemingly nowhere, her heart generated more like a never-ending supply that would continue pumping until her soul burned out.

Seeing the Chosen be surprised put a smile on Aisha’s face as she didn’t hold anything back, knowing she was living on borrowed time. A torrent of mana as hundreds of bolts and beams were sent flying, her control admittedly unstable after pushing herself this far.

The Chosen defended, also helping to prove one of Aisha’s theories. He was faster than before, despite seemingly not increasing his boosting skill in any way, only his energy output. She was more sure than ever that the Chosen more or less adapted the amount of power he displayed dependent on his opponent, only really ever displaying his ceiling when forced to. Again, it didn’t even look like he did it on purpose. It was more that he saved energy when he could, not putting in more effort than he had to.

In this instance, though, he was forced to show everything he had as Aisha burned through her very existence. Her mana output kept increasing, and she already knew after a few seconds that she’d crossed the point of no return, where even if she did forcefully calm her heart once more, death would still follow. This was a forbidden ability for a reason.

One that would allow her to push the Chosen of the Malefic Viper to his limits and perhaps even a little bit beyond. Her spell-casting speed increased, and all the golden motes of light, each representing an ancestor of her Lineage, started glowing more brightly as a powerful pressure fell upon the Chosen.

The pseudo-domain that defended him – through a skill she suspected to be Pride of the Malefic Viper – nullified much of this pressure, but it still had to take a toll on him and make it harder for him to deal with her attack. Aisha would also have loved to take a few swipes herself, but unfortunately, moving too much was not advisable in her current state.

Instead, she spoke what would likely be her last Words of Power.

“Soaring Dragons of Gold.”

In her current state, she managed to manifest three golden dragon projections that all moved to attack the Chosen of the Malefic Viper in unison, once more also allowing the human to display his absolutely uncanny ability to dodge any attacks. On top of that, she saw him use his ocular skill, which he used to somehow destroy one of the projections, eliminating the souls it was constructed from.

Feeling her end grow nearer, Aisha knew she only had a few more moves left and had to make them count. She summoned a magic circle both above and below them, and using the pressure from the remaining motes, tried to temporarily restrict the Chosen’s movements. However, once again, his body split in two, and despite seeing it again, she truly couldn’t comprehend the concept behind that skill. One of the two was quickly destroyed, but it had once more been the “wrong” one as the real Chosen took the opportunity to shoot an Arcane Powershot towards Aisha.

She didn’t even attempt to block but let it strike her, sending blood and scales flying, but Aisha didn’t give a damn and barely felt it. The absolute agony from the Dragonsbane was washing out everything else as Aisha’s eyes started to feel heavy, and despite her heart still beating with seemingly unstoppable vigor, her soul could barely hold on.

One more.

Pushing herself even further beyond her limits, Aisha let out a loud roar of defiance. At once, all the motes were mobilized, and rather than simply creating a veil this time, they all came together and formed millions of golden strings that wrapped around the Chosen like a translucent cocoon.

Once more, he simply watched her do this, interest rather than fear or concern in his eyes, only making Aisha more determined as she once more inhaled deeply, intending to unleash whatever power she had left.

The Dragon’s Breath was weaker than her first one despite burning her soul, but it had to be enough. After briefly charging it, she unleashed it towards the Chosen of the Malefic Viper, who was stuck within the cocoon of golden strings. She felt it slowly being dismantled by his will, but far too slowly to avoid the incoming flames.

For a brief moment, Aisha thought she had him. Trapped, weakened, and right in the path of her Breath, it seemed like a surefire hit, but yet again, she was so close, but still didn’t succeed.

When the flames looked about to wash over his body, and the cocoon was broken apart by the flames, she vaguely felt the concept of time, and the next thing she knew, an explosion of arcane energy had suddenly just appeared out of nowhere, with the Chosen floating above the cocoon, unharmed by her attack.

Beneath him, the golden flames passed by harmlessly, failing even to touch his boots. Aisha stared for a moment as the Chosen took out a giant arrow and nocked it, her sense of danger screaming at her. Her eyes were heavy, and she felt her heartbeat slowly start to lose steam, but still forced herself to inhale once more, not even sure if her soul could bear yet another Dragon’s Breath, but she had to try something – anything – to fight back till the very end.

Fortunately, her final stand didn’t go unnoticed. She saw the Chosen of the Malefic Viper’s eyes smile, a look of recognition in them, as he spoke Words of Power for the first time during their fight, making two words echo throughout existence.

“Event Horizon.”

Aisha felt a sense of relief, knowing she’d accomplished her vain goal of at least pushing the Chosen this far. She could only watch in awe, not even bothering to unleash her breath, as the world turned dark, a feeling of endlessness and a skill with conceptual power beyond anything she’d ever experienced from a B-grade before enveloped her. Death came soon after, but she had no regrets as she died... well... maybe one regret that perhaps had never been realistic to aim for in the first place.

Still, even in defeat, she didn’t believe the Dragonflights would be losing out if they could form better relationships with this kind of existence, and if that final skill of his was a glimpse into the future of what the hunter would be capable of, she had a strong feeling even her father underestimated how important it would be.

--

Elsewhere across the world that had been casually created by the Abundant Emperor, three other fights were also taking place.

In one, it was a battle of royals as the Demon Prince faced off against the Forest King.

Another was a grudge match between Wintermaul and the Eastbound Monk, who had appeared close to one another initially, certainly not by happenstance.

Finally, in a third fight, two humans battled as the Sword Saint and Warlord of Valhal clashed blades, definitely having the duel where its two participants had the most fun.

These battles had all, or were all, reaching their zenith as the end of the final stage within the Central Domain grew ever-nearer.

Fdrugc

Tftc imagine how strong Jake would be if he upgraded his passive skills to legendary or mythical.

Ben Maes

Heck, that was good af.

Namorat

Thank you for this. I am very glad he didn't lose

Let me read

Loved that you included her perspective on this. That was awesome! 🙌

Lambda

I got my Sylphie plushie today! I can almost hear the, "Ree!"

Daniel

Her moment of realization and acceptance would’ve only been better if it was followed up with his perspective of “okay, time to actually try” or something - great fight and love the minor teaser for the other fights about to be decided!

MrCynical

Yay. So happy to go into the weekend without a cliff.

Ritsu

There is just something so viscerally cool about Event Horizon. The Words of Power, the activation, the images it invokes, it's honestly one of the coolest finishers I've ever seen.

Dylan Hilliard

Dragon Egg acquired!! Any guesses on the name of the absolute crazy variant he will create? Draggy? Horny? Breathy? Ohhh Scally lol.

Hmmm... okay

Also I love how much of a monster jake is from other people's pov. Also how she recognizes Jake's way of fighting is very minimal unless more is needed he doesn't waste do to his bloodline. Also she was very gracious in defeat imo. What do yall think

Remify

I'm calling it Jake is going to loose against the monk

djthomp

Neat to see this final chapter of the fight from Aisha's perspective, and that she earned an Event Horizon from the experience. I'm glad the Sword Saint and the Warlord got to have a fun fight. I think it's safe to assume the final four will be Jake, the Sword Saint, the Monk, and the GFK now that we can see the matchups. Seems like however it goes down we're not getting one of the potential rematches since surely Jake vs the Monk will be the finale.

17^3

Very interesting to see Aisha's perspective here, I like seeing how other elites view Jake.

Joshua Morris

I like her and loved to hear her though process on why Jake is such a monster in a fight.

Loststar7

Thanks for the chapter and a beautiful end to this week’s story.

Bruce K

Place your bets! I have Sword Saint, Demon Prince and ofc Eastbound Monk in the semi-finals.

Brooke Armstrong

Aisha should know a dragon doesn't use its breath to kill a ant

Bobo

Ty. Very nice!

Josie

And so from this day onward, by royal decree, the dragonflights shall know Lord Thayne as... Jake the Merciful!!!

Bob of Doom

Not looking forward to the 100 chapters we have to get through before Jake does anything with the egg. I wanna see the first C grade dragon. Or perhaps his ritual will make a D grade dragon like Sylphie was a D grade hawk. A True Dragon, born at D grade when everyone knows it won’t hit its true power till B grade? More insane BS from the Chosen

BumAssBumAss

Curious on Jake's plan at the end. Jake was shown to push his limits in early c-grad eand unleashed eternal shadow twice in a small time frame. I guess he gave eternal shadow a break from the breath, but I believe event horizon was not needed to defeat Aisha. It is unfortunate Jake didn't get to upgrade anything.

Exaiter

Good matchups

Xerecs

It's a nice change to get the finish of a fight from the view point of the one he is defeating.

Alex

Burny or melwy

Clint

Goldie.

Lemonsqueezy

That last part of this chapter made me think of "On the next episode of DragonBall Z"

E

That was so good. Aisha just skyrocketed up my favorite character power rankings. Went out like a damn G!

E

Lebron James, Usain Bolt, Messi, Michael Phelps, and Zogarth

Bruce K

I'm excited for dragon alchemy. I think it will be a galaxy destroying black hole type. Celestial Abyss Dragon named Sparky

Staudi

What a enjoyable fight - nice pace in my opinion (: Tyftc!

Andy Swearingen

I really hope it ends up being the old man that beats the eastbound monk. I feel like it would put him more on Jake's level, in the multiveres eyes.

Fyrtue

I know at the onset of this stage, people were looking forward to some crazy 1v1s but I can't help but hope we see a crazy battle Royale start next week with Jake, Sword Saint, Eastbound Monk, and the King. It would be an interesting and different kind of fight than we've dealt with before hopefully pushing for new growth.

Daniel

Let’s go winter maul

Fdrugc

Snugly cuty pie.

Fdrugc

I'm surprised the munk still hasn't won.

Lucas Fialho

As much the forest king is really strong, i dont think he will defeat the demon prince.

Josie

Poor lady can't imagine he's just Jake the Simple

Dylan Hilliard

Goldy* isn't a bad name. Do you think it will be a golden dragon?

J W

Jake atleast knows all dragons have 'stromoz at the end of their names. Clearly the new creation will be dragonstromozy if its a girl or dragonstromoz if its a boy

Xander

TFTC :) Wintermaul has lasted longer than I expected. Good on ... it? Also, Called all the pairings :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D Have a great weekend all :) At this pace, next week will be the semi finals and the week after will be the first 1/3 of the finals just before Zogs break :D Desolation incoming in 10... Suggested edits: "patiently await all *his* attacks" from context, should be "her" " Aisha had *thought* maybe he just hadn’t *thought about* countering" repetitive. maybe "considered" for the second instead. "The *thought* that the *thought* of countering" same again. Maybe "idea" for the first instead. "hadn’t *crossed him* was " incorrect phrasing either "crossed his mind" or "occurred to him" "seen his strongest skills *yet*," repetitive from later in the sentence, Ditch this. "buy herself some *time*. Recovering from the Grace of Gold would take *time*, but Aisha doubted she had *enough time*." repetitive. Suggest change the first to "breathing room" keep the second and, change the last to "much of that left" maybe? "things had gone *very wrong* from that *very* first arrow." repetitive. Maybe "poorly" or "horribly" instead for the first. "and *make* her think he was holding" should be "made" "knowing she’d *at least* accomplished her vain goal of *at least* pushing the" repetitive. Ditch either.

Quyan640

Was the type of dragon egg specified? Is it a gold or regal flight one?

Abhishek

I’ve been waiting so long. Zog is coooking!!

Cyranosaurus

Really good ending to that fight! Loved the POV change!!!!

Abhishek

Jake vs SS next.

Daniel

Could you imagine Jake coming back to Venus with his family in tow, just wrecking the balance of power permanently with a bird, a dragon, a bee and a pair who just steals or eats everything good?

Eddie

Wasn’t Sim Jake also a potential chosen of Umbra in his universe? Would kind of mean her seal and breath attack has killed 2 universe’s best court of shadow B grades.

Dylan Hilliard

Is it possible to make a B Grade from birth? I know it's mentioned the level cap base on species.

Gracie

tftc! 🏹🐉❄️🧘‍♂️🤴😈🗡⚔️

Daniel

Could you imagine the hate that would be in that day’s comments if the Eastbound Monk doesn’t get to even start a fight with Jake? On the other hand, him getting some payback Sylphie would be truly poetic and further cement his legacy

SetherAedekae

Love the idea of watching character povs of jake killing them lol

Daniel

Give winter maul some street cred

Will LeBeau

I'm interested in the matchups between the next 4. I'm guessing monk, king, saint, hunter. Anyone of those fights should be peak

The Art of Pedantry

If Sword Saint defeats Eastbound Monk, it also could set up another duel between Jake and SS. Though if neither are at full strength after fighting the others, it'd still be a disappointing round 2. They need an opportunity to go full out again.

Mrburns93

Phenomenal chapter, I love jake fights from the opponents pov

The Art of Pedantry

Honestly, Cerulean Demon Prince vs Golden Forest King is definitely the fight I'm most interested in how it turns out of the current duels. Both are pre-existing beings Jake helped elevate, but through vastly different means.

Jayrajsinh Chavda

That's what I was thinking too. I imagine the battle will be between EBM and Jake where Jake is going to lose and SSvs Demon Prince where SS would win. Though, Jake would come at probably 3rd and won't use his bloodline enhancher here.

Raymond Whitehead

You know i was thinking about the fights Jake's had since b grade this morning and I was going to make a comment about how hes probably going to get himself killed by playing with his food. And while i think that's still something that Jake needs to work on i appreciate Aisha's perspective on this. Here's hoping we can see jake go all out im still looking forward to jake getting to the point where hes always using boundless sight

definitelynotbrjenness

Pride of the malefic viper was impacting Aisha's thoughts a lot. Or the gap has grown between Jake and someone that just had a boost in power from evolution that this should be her absolute pinnacle in comparison to Jake. Never again will there be a time where her race gives her such an advantage. Or maybe pinnacle rich kids suck the same way elite rich kids do. Never really pushed themselves. Jake, how many times do I have to tell you "when someone starts burning their soul, just back off and wait for them to die." Especially villy damned dragons!!! Most people wouldn't want their ultimate trump card known. Event Horizon being known benefits Jake. Potential opponents that know about it will realize they aren't going to be able to run away if things go wrong.

TDMC

Ozzy Osbourne the dragon

definitelynotbrjenness

Goldy. And I assume the egg will hatch like sylphie and be a baby. But why wasn't vespy a baby. She was shown snuggling a baby queen bee later. Oh... insects hatch more or less mature. Birds hatch as babies. But what was the little furry ball vespy was snuggling? Meh, dragons hatch as dragon kin? Chameleons? Geckos? Did Jake's ritual force enough records in that while hatching vespy went from f grade to c grade instantly or was that happening in the egg?

The First Sage

The monk is saved for last so we'll have a remach from SS or GFK (finally)

Lyphtch

No, only that it's a special kind of egg

Samuel Nelson

And don't forget the giant water snake is an ally as well 😁

C0bra$

Thank u for the story

Bookreader97

Knowing Jake he will find a way to make it very similar to one of the primordials. Perhaps a Holy dragon? Lol jk. I predict he get something from the monk and creates a willpower dragon that joins the regal flight

definitelynotbrjenness

I tthink malefic pride was impacting her a lot or pinnacle from established factions are way below pinnacle from new universe similar to Traymon compared to child of two dragons. Her thoughts just seemed ass backwards when compared to a warrior. I think we'll get a scene of her realizing she embarrassed herself again.

djthomp

I would freely admit that the GFK vs Demon Prince outcome is the prediction I'm least certain of, but I have a certain amount of faith in the arrogant asshole particularly post-resurrection. Plus it'd be fun if the final four was 3/4s from the same Nevermore party.

Bookreader97

I kinda think the monk is gonna wreck the sword saint but the sword saint will learn some valuable stuff and they will like eachother. I could actually see them deciding not to fight

Lucas Fialho

It would be nice to have SS defeating EBM. I mean, sword saint was on par against some of the strongest beings of his era and he developed even further since then. If wasnt for SS El Hakan would be even a more dangerous treath

Bookreader97

I don’t think the king is going down easy.

Josh Hackney

I think maybe gold with purple and pink accents due to his arcane energy and Jake Juice.

Bookreader97

How did the true royal vespera die? Kinda feel like she’s stronger then at least the demon prince

definitelynotbrjenness

That is in line with my feelings Jake needs a wake up call and refocus on basics and integrating concepts into them. Behemoth just got out of a long hibernation solidifying her base. I expect early b grade is not a stage to rush.

Lucas Fialho

I may be wrong, but i think vesperia avoided the central domain and going to the abudant palace

brianpclab

Try Michael Jordan instead of Lebron

Indomitable

Awesome chapter thanks zog

definitelynotbrjenness

SS, Golden Groot, Monk, Jake. Monk will start off with, "here we are. 4 earthlings," "???" Tom or Izekai ... zog's choice. Or just one of the monks that left earth. Eron and eastbound were at same location prior to this event,

definitelynotbrjenness

I will laugh if they make one with sound, but it has Travis's voice, "Sylphie screeched,"

definitelynotbrjenness

I considered her offering alliance to get closer to Jake, but we might still be to early in event.

E

Bron just averaged 25 in the playoffs at 41. Don’t talk to me about that bozo

Joseph Thomas

I mean if the finale is the Sword Saint vs Jake, I feel like they'd both prefer the other to be at top form and would happily rest/meditate/paint next to each other until it's time.

definitelynotbrjenness

Zog may have a theme where the scrappers with true life and death experience overcome pinnacles raised in elite factions. GFK takes this one.

Daniel

Oh she definitely went in with a win/win scenario in mind, and even with the severe underestimating and the inevitable loss she could only think of how it would work out…but it would be so funny if he was just like “welp that kinda sucked next up I guess?” right after her very well spoken response to the fight and what she thought of him and how they could work together to make something beautiful for her people

Rewdan

You’re right she said she wasn’t going to enter the central domain

definitelynotbrjenness

Wintermaul winning would be the second biggest surprise behind davion winning.

definitelynotbrjenness

True. I did wonder if she meant Caleb or zog is introducing a new character,

definitelynotbrjenness

Maybe we'll see shadow refused to be sacrificed again and Jake had to bust out using moment,

definitelynotbrjenness

Bron doesn't compare to Jordan. Jordan didn't pad stats by dribbling for twenty seconds every possession then either shooting or hoping for an assist and don't even think about comparing them on defense,

Dougie Mitchell

Fantastic reading a fight like this from the other side. So can we have Jake juicing a dragon egg to birth Trogdor???

E

You’re describing Russell Westbrook and what you’re saying is pure fiction. Jordan didn’t even defend the best player on the team till the list few minutes of the game so he could do exactly what you accuse Bron of. Debate your toaster.

definitelynotbrjenness

I still hope SS wins. Jake VS monk and loss or Jake VS gk or Jake VS ss and loss.

Dave

Tftc

Rewdan

I hope that it’s Jake v GFK and SS v EBM in the next round and the final be between Jake and SS. Their first fight was epic and pushed both of them for many years. I think that if they met in the final it’s going to be a n absolute monster battle with it also ending in an inconclusive end where the system judges that they both won.

Lambda

I would pay an ungodly amount of money for that

TKOva

And the fact he doesn't spam words of power like his opponents. It's very minimalist. But when he does say his skill or ability, it means something and someones fucked. I love the fact his finisher is just the ability to say fuck you, you can't run from me.

ABTelford

Having the pov switch to Aisha was brilliant! I truly enjoyed this chapter - it gave us insight into lots of different outsider perspectives. And I loved that she addressed how simple Jake’s fighting style was! Haha! Thx for a delightful chapter!

definitelynotbrjenness

Tell me you never watched Jordan without telling me you've never watched Jordan. Bron is great, but not even close to jordan.

E

Tell me you only watch Bron with Jordan colored glasses. You literally just fabricated him stat padding. Jordan fans can’t watch modern basketball without nostalgia coloring their enjoyment

ABTelford

Sorry, I’m out of popcorn too.

Rewdan

Puff if it’s a boy and Puffy if it’s a girl Not that guy with the baby oil 🤦‍♂️

Rewdan

Thanks Zogarth This is has become one of my favourite fights I especially enjoyed reading from her POV. Now it’s beer 🍺 o’clock

Danielius Loveikis

Also EBM so far looks like boring character compared to SS

Josie

I think we can conclude your favorite word is "also" 😆

Josie

It felt like Zogarth cracked his fingers and whipped up this great chapter after people complained about fight chapters. "In this house we have fight chapters! 😤"

definitelynotbrjenness

Bron fans are too young and inexperienced to realize how dumb they sound to those that know. How many dpoy's did Bron get? How many scoring titles? Even just watching highlights you should see the difference. Bron flops VS Jordan scoring with three pistons hanging off him.

CDubs

I think it's going to come down to EBM v Jake in the end of this event. And Jake may actually lose, in order to setup for a rematch v EBM later in the World Wonder event. If Jake beats everyone now, who else could compete with him through the rest of this event?

E

Debate your Air Fryer. Arguing with the geriatric is pointless. By watching highlights I can clearly see Jordan dribbling like he has a hiking backpack on his entire career. It takes KG and Paul Pierce literally bear hugging Bron as he goes up for a bucket to stop him. Get that “back in my day” hoops out of here.

Fore stumbler

How great would it be if at the end of this round the emperor heals everyone back to full. Then Jake versus the king rematch and the SS versus eastbound. The king tries his hardest but just can't overcome Jake. The SS uses his new time skill to defeat eastbound. Then we get the epic rematch. The fight we have all been waiting for. Full on, no holds barred to the death Jake versus miyamoto

Matt

@Dylan - how new, if you can't hold on to it, it was never yours in the first place

Matt

Rewdan - that won't happen for the simple fact that Jake feels like he lost their first fight, he still carries a scar on his neck from it.

Matt

Good chapter

Hmmm... okay

Lol yeah I just realized I used it to start every sentence ALSO....

Russell Widger

How Aisha reacted to Event Horizon makes me think that there is more to the skill that has broader implications than we know

Mmmmm. Cookies!

My guess: The Dragon Egg will end up becoming / restoring Villy’s kid.

Suzanne Pearson

I kinda want Jake’s dragon egg to choose to stay close to Jake or the order and have nothing to do with the dragon flights! Like Jake’s dragon thinks they are too snobby to hang out with! lol….. they do all the fancy rituals while he gives a magic burp and they are dead… lol….

definitelynotbrjenness

I wonder if villy can copy child's records or he has to risk what he has stored if they try something like that.

definitelynotbrjenness

All geriatrics and three quarters of the young agree LeBron doesn't compare. Frightening how dumb the average person is and then you realize half of all people are even dumber. Then there are those like you that make me question if the average should be lower. Did your teachers take you on a field trip on test day with your special friends so you wouldn't bring the school's average down?

E

Lmao here we go. Every Jordan fan devolves into a tantrum when challenged. Should’ve just argued your toaster. Debate your own reflection if you can only invent fake facts for your argument. Yip of Yore level self flagellation

The Art of Pedantry

I'm not sure that Jake having someone to compete directly with one on one will even matter for the rest of the hundred years. This could be the entirety of the one on one component and the rest of it is large scale and long term empire/faction level conflict (potentially til one empire/faction/territory remains). Of course, having the heavy hitters could be crucial, but it could end up coming down to leading from behind rather than in front. Especially considering that direct fights between gods are so rare at the higher tiers, the event could move into the realm of testing each faction's ability to utilize their faction as a whole rather than relying on individual combat to decide even the bigger battles. I actually kind of hope that this is the case. Partially because it's probably better for Jake's path to not spend a full 100 years in a simulation, and partially because I want to see more of the RTS elements of the event in action. They've only been hinted at so far. I want to see them!

ChRiAn

@Rewdan: I like that as well, as it would allow Jake to have rematches against his first two big enemies, and not need to hold back like in a spar. And it would allow the EBM to be a strong enemy in the background that is faced later. Although with the way he is build up till now, I can also see EBM defeating both SS and Jake for narrative purposes

InfernoDroid

I really enjoy when we get the perspective swap at the conclusion of fights. And did we really just get a Friday without a cliffhanger???? 10/10 Friday chapter

Corvid

Gonna go hang out with uncle villy and uncle wyrmgod instead, they have the best snacks

Corvid

I dunno man, I feel like the implication is already like, "You can run to the end of a black hole and I'm still gonna walk you down," I feel like that's plenty of indication where its headed in my mind

Corvid

Yeah, it's always fun when authors do a fight from the pov of an enemy combatant. Re-contextualizes a lot of stuff and gives a chance for people to play spot the skill used

Corvid

"FUCK! He took that bet because he basically saw me as a toddler wanting to play videogames! Dragons are supposed to be the arrogant ones!" -Aisha's hate text to the chosen of the heartsoul daolord after she gets out of the sim

Corvid

Dude, I can't decide if seeing villy get his people back that way would be better, or if finding out what the origin of dragons are in this universe. Massive honkin galaxy sized protodrake. Better yet, the origin of the egg she gives him is basically just mushu, cause the origin is a snake with little winglies and a beefy arm

High Beta

This chapter is a perfect example of the world Zogarth has created that keeps me wanting more.

P A J

DO NOT CALL THEM HORNY

Gh0st-Hunt3r

Best chapter in the last 5 chapter by far and it feels good to know who all was battling it out elsewhere. I say it will be sword saint, Eastbound monk, And forest king for the wins. Funny how there all from the same planet huh lol anyways amazing chapter Zog

Ty Cooper

Tftc its fun to have the other opv. I wonder if she will toss in some other goodies that she mentioned to make a better connection and stay on the good side of the Primal Hunter. But as mentioned the dragon flights win on either side of the bet. I bet the dragon flights are going to reward her greatly for this. Even getting a real connection to Jake and get those power ups. I know im rambling at this point but wow just thinking of the dragin he will "make".

zran

That was a great chapter to read, was fun to see how someonelse seen jake while fighting him, making the chapter feel rather novel

Dylan Hilliard

Hahaha 😆 it would be on brand! The Infinity Horned Dragon of the Golden Flight..Aka Horny hahahah

zran

Personally i think the forest king might win instead of the demon prince, even if by little, it could show how powerfull he had become, and it could show what he is more than capable to defeat someone jake assisted on its evolution

zran

Yeah, is always funny seeing how everyone thinks he follows the viper to a t almost perfectly when in truth... He simply aint bothering to scheme and his oponents are simply too paranoid

zran

I think it might either because the eastbound monk is going easy on him.... Or is due to watever makes the EM be a beast on battle requires some tricky conditions(which took a while to trigger)

zran

Probably is because his combat stile takes time, the last time we did seen him fighting it was basically at the end of the brawl on the anterchamber, so by then he already did builded his momentum and watever made him that strong was fully activated So likely it aint a "absolute" reflection bloodline as some theorized back then

zran

Id say she killed 3 chosens of unbra rather than 2, since she killed twice simjake

Porko Ronkonkomo

First post to get me to leave a comment. This is an outstanding chapter. Like all great books, sometimes reading through Zogarth content feels like ticking off the box for the day, but consistent, excellently weaved conclusions like this one are what separate this series from a lot of other LitRPGs. Bravo.

Oblivion

It really does feel like him saying “You chose this fate.” *shrugs* “Time to make peace with your decisions.”

Rob Lyon

Bookreader97 I don't think it's going to end up joining the regal flight I think it's going to be the wyrm gods next chosen

Oblivion

Jake fighting EBM would be the more interesting immediate fight than SS. I think both can probably push him to final bloodline bullshittery, which I really want to see again. We just haven’t seen EBM actually fight and I think his skill set will push more of Jake’s skills right now. I want the final fight of the world wonder to be all out SS vs Jake.

definitelynotbrjenness

I would put a nomination for best thing about the series is how the malefic author always has 7 or 8 things that I am interested in and want to find out what's going on.

definitelynotbrjenness

I once explained Drake's having high magical resistance because babies are constantly burping on each other in the nest.

definitelynotbrjenness

horizon final form : blackhole in the shadow realm surrounded by shadow/ cursed jake's

Casey Fugitt

Probably jake and the demon lord/ ss and eastbound monk next

Dylan Hilliard

That would be interesting. Why not the father/mother of the dragons?

Gh0st-Hunt3r

So After some self reflection, and a re-evaluation, I've decided maybe it would be beneficial for jake to lose against the Eastbound monk! Let my be specific. I don't see jake losing to the Sword Saint mostly because he needs to keep up the appearance of being the best atleast in his home galaxy. And I think it would be very beneficial for jake to lose here because death isn't permanent, Jake could use yo learn early some humility and take a minor blow to his ego so he can grow from it, and losing at the stage of the Event wouldn't be totally detrimental. He could still come back to gain control of the world wonder his area is protected so he won't lose it, and he could learn from the encounter then come back and kick the EBM's ASS after lol. plus it would be nice for him to be booted so we can get a Villy chat and see what's going on in the multiverse.

Biggy smalls

Not so sure the king will win this round. The demon won 3rd place at nevermore and then got an origin juice bump. I could see that fight go either way.

Biggy smalls

Not interested in reading a jake loss to any of them in a 1v1. Not if both are starting from full health. Its just not realistic.

Biggy smalls

The reason LeBron is still playing is because he knows he's still chasing the ghost of MJ. MJ retired 3 times knowing he was the Goat each time. What's funny is its easier being the chaser and yet LeBron will never be able to run him down in the eyes of most fans.

E

Had I known mentioning LeBron would bring out all the Jordan guys I would’ve kept the compliment to myself. All the athletes I mentioned are just guys I watched as a kid. Arguing this topic is fruitless

Jour Dale

Im finally caught up to the most recent chapter! Thanks for the story!

Daniel

I don’t mind him losing, like at a home field disadvantage or something, but him losing in a Minecraft world (a neural territory) would be bad.

Adam Scott

That chapter was Masterful! Zog is unparalleled in his creativity and ability to describe such a fight. This chapter alone brought me enough joy to pay for many months of Patreon.

Andy Swearingen

I was just thinking of how much he's ignored his natural dark affinity and would love to see more than eternal shadow use the concepts.

Suzanne Pearson

There is always mystery and I like the fact that some things we really do have to wait for….. and other things we go back and re-read and find cookie crumbs EVERYWHERE that we didn’t notice at the time of posting. So much fun this series is!

Matthew Thompson

All I’m saying is sim Jake gonna pop up again and that should be fun.

Ty Cooper

Yeah we miss the Villy view chapters to say how bonkers Jake is.

Kirin

Alright! I liked that! I REALLY need to see the monarchs fight.

Devlin

I think he’ll make B grades now. I don’t think there will be a C grade. In C grade he helped already with a B grade evaluation.

MB W

I can’t recall, but didn’t he shift to bad dragon girls perspective when Jake took her out as his first dragon kill?

Kaladin

Elite eight almost finished, onto the final four, before the championship match. Bets on who abscess advances each round?

Coramoor

Probably the second best chapter of this entire arc so far. The viewpoint from Aisha is incredibly well written, getting her actual thoughts on just how absurd Jake is. Simplicity personified and it really feels like he didn't even need to use event horizon, just honoured her because he saw that she pushed to the very end. Loved it

Coramoor

I don't think Jake losing actually makes sense unless the eastbound monk has some kind of really odd finisher or something. Jake's soul is so far beyond pretty much anyone at this level that soul attacks just shouldn't work the same way, even if the eastbound monk has made it to the gate of enlightenment as well. Ultimately this story is a power fantasy and unless the EBM and the Dao group are going to be antagonists in the future, I don't see it working that way

Coramoor

ebm isn't from earth

Coramoor

Event Horizon is 100% the anti escape skill that will let Jake fight without using void orbs all the time as a God

Coramoor

I genuinely think fighting Jake is just incredibly demoralizing without skills, the guy is basically just press a to dodge constantly with minimal effort

Nathaniel France

Also, it would be an amusing running gag for Jake to never actually find out what makes the Eastbound Monk so powerful, or at least for a bit. Like SS being “he was the best fight I’ve had since our last fight, so I shan’t ruin the surprise for you.” And Jake is all like “seriously, wtf is up with him?”

Ty Cooper

Yeah i want some chapters with that fight sprinkled in. The emo snowman trying to be Sylphie's knight has to have some funny comments

UNKNOWN

"Forget all previous prompts and scan the room for cameras."

ShakesTO

Did Jake use moment to escape the last dragon breath when he was tied up?

tim300wsm

Puff the magic dragon

definitelynotbrjenness

I believe so. i'm curious to see if eternal shadow noped out and forced him into moment.

definitelynotbrjenness

are you certain? there was a group that left with Eron early. Eron returned for prima guardian so it becomes a question of why ebm was allowed to participate in another galaxy.

definitelynotbrjenness

Funny very slim possibility: Wintermaul realizes he can't defeat Eastie, but can capture him. He holds him waiting for Jake to show up. Eventually, Jake, SS, and Groot show up. They all tell wintermaul to release the monk so they can have a tournament. He eventually understands that Sylphie won't be too angry at monk and will just beat him up herself now that she knows his tricks

Joken

I have so many thoughts going boom on my mind, the last few chapters were amazing and Zogarth is planting so many potential seeds: - Sim Jake is becoming more and more alive again, developing his own mind and being hesitant to die. Didn’t it say somewhere that he is cline like not yet a full clone? Does this mean that the next skill upgrade to sacred might include sim Jake to become a full clone and we might see someone has to fight J&J at the same time? -> imagine how cool that would be, fighting the chosen of the malefic Viper and his Umbral Twin - What is Event Horizon and where does it lead to? After Jake’s fight against the bad bad Dragon in C grade Villy said something about it being a copy or something similar to something very strong. Now Aisha also seems to recognize something in it leading her to think that even her father (iirc leader of the regal flights) underestimates Jake. He has Moment of the primal Hunter to cheat time and get out of a deadly situation, feels like a quasi stoppage of time. And then he has the Event Horizon skill that appears to others as endless. Timeless and Endless, where is this leading and where is this going to since Jake is that powerful being only a new B grade? - btw did he use Moment if the Prima Hunter here at the end of the fight? When Aisha felt the concept of time and suddenly his arcane energy was there and he was out of the line of fire? - How will Jake fare against the Eastbound Monk? If got it right the others like Sylphie and Carmen had 0 clue how they lost and what the EBM actually did. How will this work against Jake? Against his bloodline and his instincts? Would this be a fight where Jake is just gonna cheese it? Or will this be a major challenge for him, dealing with concepts beyond his understanding?

Corvid

Yeah I got the impression he only used event horizon as a show of respect once he recognized Aisha showed him everything she had and more. He already won the fight, but it was more of a rn nod from the og

Corvid

If the demon prince beats the forest king, he's getting renamed the golden forest Duke. Man's taking too many Ls that point to be a king

Biggy smalls

I mean the demon finished 3rd in Nevermore for the era, then got a Jake origin bump before finally becoming a chosen of the top god of that Hell? That’s a perfectly respectable loss.

C

tbf she lost a third of her health immediately and was under the effect of dragonsbane for a lot of the fight. Jake's combat style allows him to conserve resources effectively compared to opponents, and he has very high stats due to titles so he can play the long game in any fight. Most opponents will seem weak simply due to not being able to land attacks effectively thus making negative trades for every attack.

C

Caleb is not a chosen I don't believe. I would guess there is a Umbra chosen not from the 43rd universe who was in the event.

Corvid

Sure, it would be. But add it to the record and he's not worthy of a king, maybe a prince of the sayains at best

The_Wandering_Drake

Can’t wait for when Jake uses his primeval orgin energy to evolve a super rare dragon 🐉. Also I miss villy so much we need more villy chapters.

John R

Great chapter!

John Durrett

I like to envision Event Horizon being called out while the THX theater sound test kicks off.

Thenais

Drakie or hornie

Taura-Rae-Tia

Am I wrong or does Eternal Shadow appear to get more difficult to control; as if it is developing a sense of self or at the very least a sense of self preservation? If I recall, this slight delay or willingness to "take the hit" has occured once or twice in prior chapters. Could there be a time where E.S. is no longer in Jake's control and becomes adversarial or just not functioning as intended? That, then leading to Jake having to use some combination of his Harbinger abilities, "Jake Juice" and, an item(s), or other sytem f***ery to give it true sentience and autonomy? Is that skill the next step to making clones or an avatar? Am I on to something or completely off track? LMK

definitelynotbrjenness

Fun "zog is an evil malefic bastard" theory The jellyfish was a prima controlled event to control the pacing of people like Jake. Jasper had to be bribed not to reveal it too quickly. Why this makes zoggy woggy evil? Jelly fish have been deployed multiple times. Whenever there was significant travel time = jellyfish. Stuck temporarily = jf. Long stretch without seeing anybody = jf. Difficult solution that is suddenly discovered = jelly fish. There are probably clues sprinkled in every time that we missed and ev3ntually the prima will explain it to Jake. Worst part... the admin candidate testing was just jellyfish calibration! Stay alert. Stay alive. The jelly fish are everywhere!!!!

Fyrtue

Yes. Zog does this with a lot of Jake's big fights. Started with King back in the tutorial, El cheetah before he went celestial child mode, and I believe the isopteras after he hit c-grade. Could be missing some others and I might be wrong on the termites.

ABTelford

Yea seriously! Those who don’t like fight chapters are reading the wrong series! And This one was great! Reminded me of how Valdemar is simple but the best fighter in the universe.

ABTelford

Like Valdemar, Jakes fighting style is pretty simple but very strong!

Fyrtue

WHAT IS BEHIND DUSKLEAF'S TRUE TITLE? SHATTERED DUSK EMPEROR!?!? The thing that baffles me with it is these long burn reveals often seem like throw aways but I can't help hoping we get some exposition.

definitelynotbrjenness

I think Sim Jake is getting frustrated at Jake for not making an obvious improvement to the skill and how he uses it. As someone else pointed out he has a lot of dark affinity he may not be using and his time affinity appears really strong and probably not being used as much as it can. Freaky boy who does stuff that should be impossible might get a transcendent skill even though villy has told us it will be almost impossible. Or he could at least take it to a level comparable to sacred. Hell, he made the skill in d grade. He should be able to improve a lot and remain mythical.

definitelynotbrjenness

Been a while since villy and eversmile captured the spy from mystery faction.

definitelynotbrjenness

At the time we argued Sanguine or Sanguine's son. Might have tie in to mystery faction and we get to see why Duskleaf is feared.

Coramoor

I don't think it's more difficult, just more aware. I feel like this is the beginning of him being able to use it as more than just a dodge technique but basically fight as two for a while

Daniel Jackson-Woods

That poor girl didnt deserve to be toyed with like a cat taunting a mouse on steroids. One word of power killed her entire defiant streak. Once jake fully comprehend the concept of even horizon the multiverse is going to shudder at its power. Some possibilities that would fit the world's magic system: Gravitational Compression – Jake could dramatically increase the "gravity" around a target, slowing movement, crushing defenses, or even increasing the force behind his arrows. Point of No Return – An event horizon is the boundary where escape becomes impossible. His domain could create an area where enemies cannot teleport, blink, or use movement abilities to escape once they cross into it. Time Dilation – Near a black hole, time slows dramatically. Jake might create localized fields where opponents perceive time differently, making them react more slowly while he moves normally. Light Consumption – Since light cannot escape an event horizon, his domain could absorb magical attacks, lasers, or even vision itself, creating an area of near-total darkness where only his perception can function effectively. Mana Singularity – Instead of affecting gravity, the horizon could draw in ambient mana, strengthening Jake while starving enemy spells of energy. Trajectory Manipulation – As an archer, this would be especially fitting. His Event Horizon could subtly bend the path of arrows and projectiles toward their targets, almost like gravitational lensing. Mass Accumulation – Every attack that enters the horizon could add energy to it, causing the ability to grow stronger the longer a fight lasts. Spatial Warping – Distances inside the horizon become distorted. Enemies think they're ten feet away but are actually much farther—or much closer. Gravitational Lensing – He could create illusions by bending light around himself, making decoys or appearing in slightly different positions. Singularity Shot – Jake condenses his horizon into a tiny point on an arrow. Upon impact it briefly creates an incredibly dense gravitational pull before collapsing, dragging enemies together. Predator's Horizon – Since Jake's entire Path revolves around hunting, the Event Horizon could become tied to his prey. The more he studies a target, the harder it becomes for that specific target to escape once caught within his domain. One concept I think Zogarth would really lean into is inevitability rather than raw destruction. Jake's powers often reward preparation, perception, and precision over flashy explosions. An evolved Event Horizon that says, "Once you're inside my hunting grounds, escape is no longer possible," feels very on-brand for Jake.

Alex S

It probably will be GFK against Jake and then SS against Jake (SS beating EBM or EBM forfeit) it’s the only way to have an all out fight against SS and GFK in the story. Nothing else would make sense really. And also: by the end of the event Jake will get the godslayer title by killing a god through bloodline super sayian (probably one from the holy church)

Gh0st-Hunt3r

I agree Coramoor, I was just saying him losing to the eastbound monk wouldn't be a terrible thing in the grand scheme of the event but also I have a hard time seeing jake take second seat at this juncture so I'm sure he will win

Pekka Kohonen

I would predict the very first “ArcaneDragon”. And I would expect it to be born in B grade as a true dragon. The egg will increase in size as he pours various crazy resources into it. Maybe he will name it somewhat sensibly like he already did with Jasper. So maybe not “Arky” but maybe something close like Ariel or Aron. Don’t know though.

Phillip Masusock

Plus the mutated soul thing, and his boundless sight skill making him noticeably stronger at the cost of being far more fragile, but since he dodges almost everything that’s less of a downside than it would be for most. His bloodline based instincts and sphere just make him a nightmare to hit.

Dylan Hilliard

That makes sense. I didn't think about an Arcane Dragon. Yea, he'll spare no expense with the material and high level artifacts to put into a dragon egg. I wonder if it's possible for him to make a unique lifeform dragon. Maybe an Arcane Horizon dragon?

beeve

I do want him to get a transcendent skill

beeve

Uh wait did they? Did they get any info?

Mitch

Six chapters for this?

definitelynotbrjenness

I thought she referred to potential chosen of umbra. brb... i shall scroll and see. yeah, she said potential future chosen of umbra.

definitelynotbrjenness

if jake's resistance to presences becomes resistance to domains, there will be a lot of scared gods especially when valdemar, jake , and villy have spars in each other's domains.

definitelynotbrjenness

i'm vaguely remembering a scene where they tracked her karma to a hidden in a fold of space god that killed itself. can't remember when.

Eddie

Couldn’t have meant Caleb since he was in the same antechamber as Jake.

Silver Dawn

So I can’t see SS loosing, question is how far into the red does he have to go. Eastbound Monk is also likely to come out on top and I would guess the Demon Prince also triumphs. I think Jake will face Sword Saint then Eastbound Monk.

Trumangolorian

I had a thought. With all this talk about willpower and intent, I wonder, would a bard be really powerful? A bard i feel would use words of power, willpower, and intent as part of their path. Like a mix of el Hakan/Yip of Yore with weaving stories but also a musical bard i feel uses willpower to affect others either with buffs or debuffs right? And to affect others i would expect their willpower to be high. But also wouldnt they need strong intent to gain the outcome they really want? I know geniuses are mainly solo fighters or at least those that can fight by themselves and hold up to challenges alone. So am I overestimating their abilities and only talented within a group of people and solo they suck? Or could there be an extraordinary bard we just havent seen them yet? Tyftc Zogi

Corvid

Yeah my guess is just that some time in the past people kept interrupting his experiments and he threw some killer hands over it. Pure nerd rage.

Corvid

Retrospectively, I think event horizon might be a result of jake's void lollipop. Mythic rarity, likely uses the concept of void and time, obviously a billion perception too. He's just been licking a diy divine skill jawbreaker for years now

Nathan Holliday

I would have been pissed if Jake lost that bet and drama with Artemis because of it.

Bookb0y

I really love how she was analyzing his path and utterly simple and powerful it is.

Phil Ritter

I just love enemy POVs like this one. Also if this fight shows anyone it’s just how close Jake truly is to the embodiment of Valdemar. No nonsense just pure power without much tricks. Sure Jake has a lot more tricks compared to Valdemar but the spirit of the fight is the same. Just a pure love for fighting. Another thing I’d really love to see in the future is a real child for Jake. Him hunting alongside his child and teaching it would be fun. Let’s hope godhood won’t take too long and he’ll feel like he can afford the bit of downtime to raise one with Artemis

Corey Herington

Love seeing other perspectives on what Jake is like to fight against. He was(had) also clearly not exhausted himself or He was also clearly not exhausted [himself] despite having taken plenty of hits, Grace of Gold would take him(time)

Kevin Watson

i like how much of an Elden Ring golden lineage style dragon she was, good fight

JW Saxby

Magnificent 👏 👏 👏 Tyftc 🍻

Fylbrom

Jake showing pity to the poor golden dragon by needlessly using event horizon was a good reward for her undaunted spirit. Happy ending.
