Here’s another lovely X-Men fig by MrJBrick! It’s a great custom that is so close to perfect! (unless you get down into the details like I do) Like sure, if you take a step back, this fig is top notch! The coloring is great, the overall design is solid, the custom parts are clean! So... it’s a good fig!

…right?

Well there are three very minor things that drive me nuts with this fig. The first being those black lines from the torso print leaking out right where the coat comes in contact.

Something about that just bugs me to no end. Either the custom coat needed to be adjusted slightly wider, or MrJ could have made sure there was a little window for yellow around the sides of the torso so this wouldn’t happen.

All it is is a little bit of the black ink for the “waist” that bleeds right out form where the coat covers. Unfortunately you can’t really hide it from any angle unless you’re looking at the fig from behind.

It’s something subtle, that could have easily been fixed.

Tilt the fig forward and we find my gripe number two!

Why would MrJ print the turtleneck sweater on the neck of this fig, but not add pink to the top of the torso? You can’t do one and not the other! Because then it looks weeeeeird!

Unlike the torso lines that you can't really hide from, you can at least work around this a little by tilting the fig back a bit. However from most angles it’s pretty noticeable.

Then finally, raise one of those arms and we find gripe number three! The arms don’t have any print under the custom glove cuffs, so again, in a pose like the one above, it just looks funky.

These three odd design choices feel like they could have easily been avoided. But I digress, we must keep moving on! Because everything else about this fig? Pretty solid!

I love that raincoat so much! The little collar details like the vertical Jim Lee lines and the weird looped clasps! Great attention to detail! It’s a bit hard to see some of it in some brighter lighting conditions so here’s another set up so you guys can appreciate it

But that hair is the cream of the crop here! The styling is great and scraggly, but not too overly detailed for my taste! There’s also a nice bit of clear transparent plastic used for the goggles.

Although if I’m honest, it would have been nice if it was a bit more saturated. In the show the goggles (sunglasses?) are far more magenta-like in hue. But here, MrJ’s final product borders on being basically trans-clear. But on the whole, it’s a very solid piece!

Oh and here’s one more photo showing off the leg print!

I feel like I’ve been saying this a lot recently, but I feel like it would've been nice to have gotten another facial expression. Given how the neck is printed you don’t have a lot of options for substituting if you want to still get that look. The bubblegum face is really fun! But again, an action face or something else would have been nice too!

Hell, even some sparks or energy elements for her powers would have been gun, but nope. This was all we got! It certainly would’ve raised the price a little, but this is still a great figure despite my nitpicking. Especially for its amazing preorder price of just $70!

All in all, she’s a fun character to have in the collection! So no major complaints from me!
